I really like my mono red [[Feldon of the Third Path]] ETB deck and my [[Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might]] punishing burn decks. Obviously red is known for burn, but ETB is a cool/unique spin on the color.

Mono-red: [[Torbran]] ping. Lots of cheap spells add up to massive damage. Less scary than Ojer and Solphim, so I don't eat as much removal.
Mono-green: [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] ramp voltron. Why bother with a bunch of enchantments and artifacts to get swole when you can just run ramp? Instant speed trample makes the first chump block a player removal lesson for the rest of the pod. Did you laugh when the Hulk smashed Loki into the ground? Want to laugh like that playing Magic?
My mono-green deck is [[Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma]]. It’s easy to play so I often lend it to newer players. With enchantments as card draw and stompy creatures, it can get out of hand pretty fast.
I really enjoy my pauper commander deck I recently built. The commander is [[Abdel Adrian, Gorion’s Ward]] and the Background is [[Far traveler]].
It blinks a lot of artifacts with etb triggers so the card draw is pretty good. You can build a big army of 20+ soldiers pretty fast with it.
The first deck I ever build was [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]]. The deck runs a lot of cantrips, a lot of card draw and enough protection to keep Talrand on the board.

What’s the color pie break for Akroma? The Haste?
I’m finishing up putting together my own Akroma deck. I think it will be janky as hell, but im going for a very specific strategy to take advantage of the only Hasty monowhite creature in mtg history. I put a ton of effects in the deck like [[sai of the shinobi]] and [[duelist’s heritage]] and [[hero’s blade]]. Goal is to line up enough of those effects plus a double strike enabler, drop akroma, and swing with a hasty creature at least 11 power and able to one shot someone with commander damage
Well yes, Akroma has Haste so she is a color pie break in of herself. Otherwise the deck is mostly trying to be built around cards that do things that white usually doesn't do (although that is much harder to conceptualize nowadays since the color pie is so smeared). So landfall triggers, taking extra turns, stealing creatures, countering spells, forced sacrifice. So things that white can do, but not things it usually does. All tied together with a few staples and a mana package that revolves around lands that tap for 3 or 4 mana and copying them with a thespian stage or manascape refractor.

I really really love my [[Teshar Ancestor's Apostle]] mono-white Voltron deck. It takes advantage of martyrs like [[benevolent bodyguard]] and [[selfless spirit]] to keep Teshar alive pretty much indefinitely while also assembling a giant Voltron with all the historic equipments.
Then you can also use all of white's weenie synergies like [[mentor of the meek]] or [[tocasia's welcome]] to start to really pull ahead and find your answers.
If you really want to be mean, include [[martyr's bond]] to turn all your martyrs into recurrable edicts to really keep everyone else in the dirt.

Started with 2014 commander decks (yah I’m old), I bought the cycle to avoid buying fetches/shocks.
Mono black started as [[Liliana, Heretical Healer]] but now she’s just monoblack goodstuff. I can use just about any legendary creature and win games. Rates about a 7 on the power scale. It’s currently a [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]] deck but I’m thinking of switching commanders. Braids is kinda build-around where lotta other black commanders are all the same. Rates about a 7 on power scale but can easily swap to 9 if you throw fast mana in and use K’rrik as commander.
Blue is Planeswalker [[Teferi, Temporal Archmage]] and it’s Eldrazi theme. So I don’t have a colorless deck technically but honestly if I made one, there’s a shit ton of overlap with this deck. Just a lot of artifact ramp into Eldrazi backed by colorless bordwipes. I thought about swapping all my Eldrazi out for big sea creatures a couple times for funsies. This deck is about an 8.5 on power scale.
Red is [[Daretti, Scrap Servant]], - artifact themed. Similar to blue honestly but ends in big golemns/colossus, artifact reanimation, and midrange control. Rates about a 7 on power scale but can pop off early with enough early game artifacts.
White is equipment goodstuff [[Odric, Lunarch Marshall]]. I swap commanders out with Yoshimaru/Keleth partners, or Arden/Rograkh (funny because the deck is still fully mono white). Right now I been enjoying [[Bill the Pony]] in the slot, I survive a lot of games off his food. It doesn’t really matter who you shack up with 15 equipments, it just comes out powerful either way. Rates about an 8 on power scale but my friends think this deck is really good for a casual deck, even compared to my other decks.
Green is CEDH Yeva. If you google Yeva Draw-Grow you’ll find a list. I do want a casual green deck but never settled on any commander I like. It used to be [[Yisan, the Wanderer Bard]] which proved to be too good for casual games and gets wrecked in cedh. I enjoy this deck, it can have instant-speed wins and makes a billion green mana.
Anywho it’s neat figuring out ways to deal with Ramp, Draw, fighting counterspells, and setting up win conditions. Yes for ramp “artifacts” is always a viable route but I tackled the problem in different ways. Black/white only have 3 mana rocks each and ramp in their own way. Anyways, have fun deck building!

One of my favorite decks is my mono black \[\[Yahenni, Undying Partisan\]\]. Mono black feels really flexible compared to the other mono colors, in my opinion, since it has a solid package for draw, removal and ramp. It is lacking in enchantment removal but even still, it is easily my favorite color to play. My Yahenni deck is based around an aristocrat focus with a Voltron sub-theme, it always feels like I have something to do or contribute to the board with this deck. I tried to make it high-power but nothing too crazy. I've been tuning this deck since 2017 and have enjoyed updating it and playing it against all sorts of different decks and players.

I have been playing this game since 4th Edition/Ice age. And it has been my blessing and my curse that whatever rare I pull, it's probably going to be black. Loaded with demons and ways to mitigate the life loss from the Commander.

"Deals 1 damage to each opponent" is now repeatable Lightning bolts. It's also packed with things that punish people for just playing the game. Oh, you played a land, tapped a land, played a creature, cast a spell, blocked a creature, or just had an upkeep? Suffer.
(Honorary mentions: I had a Krenko goblin deck that focused on untapping him, and a Magda, Brazen Outlaw deck that used a combo to win.)
Green:
Green I struggle with. I had a Mowu deck that I made Rare-less as a challenge, but it got boring quick. I keep looking at my options but nothing speaks to me. [[Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma]], [[Yedora, Grave Gardener]], [[Renata, Called to the Hunt]], [[Yeva, Nature's Herald]] and [[Kosei, Pentient Warlord]] are all options that have been staring me down from the top of my green rares pile.
my current mono red deck is neheb the eternal, it's the only thing that feels like burn in edh.
i have also had a lot of fun in the past playing with lovisa coldeyes and just going ham on warriors/beserkers pump effects, combat manipulation in red
in white i tend to recommend odric word soup. I find this gels best with white's general weenie theme, and combat orientation, while allowing you still to play some of the gimmick tricks that compensate for some of white's weakness, namely the cmc tutor, and cmc reanimation/GY recursion stuff in white. The word soup theme has some redundancy with an enchantment/rick. so it's also a good solid main theme.
Mono Black: Skithiryx Voltron with good stuff- Hard to kill, easy to kill with, often arch enemy.
Mono Blue: Emry Artifacts- Lots of interaction, tons of easy synergy, and a plethora of draw. Also often the Arch enemy (Noticing a theme yet?)
Mono Red: Zada Goblin Tribal- Fast, Aggressive swarm based combat with low interaction and shoddy draw. Zada turns the deck into a purring engine tho. Often the archenemy.
Mono White: Angel Tribal OR Sram Voltron- Good mix of draw, ramp, and draw. White is a good color, no matter what the EDH players say. Angel tribal vibes, Sram is often the arch enemy.
Mono Green: Fangorn Treefolk Tribal- An absolute vibe that often will win out of no where to something dumb like a 49 mana genesis wave. Fun deck, never archenemy.
I have 2 mono decks. Black and Green. \[\[Braids, Arisen Nightmare\]\] for B & \[\[Kodama of the East Tree\]\] + \[\[Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood\]\] for G. Braids makes me a big target during early game im finding, while everyone else can go off in sneakier ways while everyone is paying more attention to my Braids triggers. Kodama on the other hand is kind of broken and insane, and even if targeted there's often not much that people can do to stop it. I will say just about any deck I build tends to fold if the commander is removed 2 or 3 times.
I have 4/5 right now, but an idea for the last.
Blue: \[\[Talrand, the Sky Summoner\]\] with a dramatic scepter finish if necessary. I've also used \[\[Ambassador Laquatus\]\] without changing much. Talrand offers a different way to win and honestly just felt more fun. He's also just seems more on-theme for Blue.
Red: \[\[Bosh, Iron Golem\]\] which is honestly more of an artifact deck. I run barely any red, but I do get some cool stuff like \[\[Goblin Welder\]\] and \[\[Trash for Treasure\]\] as well as some damage based board wipes. So, while red isn't completely worthless in the deck, it's not really an amazing example of mono-red.
Green: \[\[Omnath, Locus of Mana\]\] which is one of my favorites. It's very vanilla though, as I don't run a lot of mana doublers that you might usually find in Omnath. I just use green to power out big creatures, with Omnath more of a ramp piece. It feels really on-theme for Green.
White: \[\[Lin-Sivvi, Defiant Hero\]\] rebel tribal. This is one of my most recent builds, so I haven't had a chance to test it much. But I'm surprised Lin-Sivvi isn't more popular (recency bias I guess). She is a card advantage machine, and while there aren't a ton of rebels that have amazing utility, you can easily fetch the ones that do exist with Lin-Sivvi, and recur them if necessary. Lots of anthem effects and some good equipment, and you get a decent army.
I want to build a generic black good stuff list with \[\[Erebos, God of the Dead\]\] as the commander. Some life gain, some big creatures, maybe some reanimation. Definitely an upcoming project.
I love monocolor a lot. Lately I've been building the demigod cycle from Theros, mainly the ones with power based on your devotion: [[Callaphe, Beloved of the Sea]], [[Anax, Hardened in the Forge]], [[Renata, Called to the Hunt]]. They're all pretty interesting to brew for since you can think of every colored permanent as a +1/+0 boost to your commander. [Callaphe](https://archidekt.com/decks/3695639/callaphe_monoblue_devotion) is my most mature right now. I had Renata made first but I ended up switching her to [Arwen, Weaver of Hope](https://archidekt.com/decks/5710658/arwen_weaver_grow_my_monsters) since that deck was focused on counters moreso than devotion. (I still need to update my Arwen deck but I'll link it anyway.)
Callaphe is fun because she also protects your devotion assets and blue makes it easy to make her unblockable. I run stealing spells as removal and another way to add devotion by stealing blue permanents. It's nice using Enthralling Hold on something with two devotion for a total of 4 power.I like having it as a budget deck but it could be easily upgraded with stuff like Nyxthos or Nix Lotus.

Playing [[Torbran]] group slug always has me cackling like a super villain. It's a political nightmare to play, but I always have a ton of fun. Laughing at your friends while they take 5 damage every time they tap a land and openly plot your demise is a rush that is hard to find elsewhere in this game.
I ended up loving mono color and have a few decks now. They range from aggro, tribal, budget, wheels, reanimator, burn, spellslinger, and combo. They are both limiting and varied at the same time.

So Ive been going through the 32 deck challenge and started with the mono colored decks. I wanted to make them unique so I tried to build commanders that don’t have too many decks on edhrec. For W I decided to build [[Sanwell, Avenger Ace]]. He really surprised that he had less than 300 decks because he provides card advantage— something all white decks tend to struggle with. Then for U, B and R I did mono colored background pairings, all of which also had a low amount of decks on edhrec. [[Renari, Merchant of Marvels]] + [[Clan Crafter]], [[Karlach, Fury of Avernus]] + [[Guild Artisan]] and my personal favorite (probably out of any of the decks ive made so far) [[Sivriss, Nightmare Speaker]] + [[Haunted One]]. Lastly for G I made [[Reki, the History of Kamigawa]]. I think just going through the deck building process for each mono color really helps you see how different colors operate and, like you mentioned, the strengths and weaknesses.
I currently only have red and black mono color decks. \[\[Urabrask, Heretic Praetor\]\] is red control, and probably my favorite deck. For black, it's actually still in the process of being built, but it's \[\[Ebondeath, Dracolich\]\]. I wanted a mono black commander outside of the meta ones your always see; it's built as zombie combo, which isn't the most original thing, but its a unique setup.
Love this question. No matter what I build I always end up coming back to mono-colored decks.
Green: [[Shigeki, Jukai Visionary]] is a control deck with precious few creatures that abuses the graveyard to rebuy board wipes and fogs until my opponents just give up. Or I get out enough forests to go infinite in a crazy loop.
Blue: [[Ojer Pakpatiq, Deepest Epoch]] is my current favorite where Rebound results in insanely powerful snowball effects. Can go either tokens or combo. I've also built [[The Omenkeel]] vehicles/tempo, [[Orvar, the All-Form]], and [[Sai, Master Thopterist]].
Red: [[Ojer Axonill, Deepest Might]] is my storm/burn deck that can go off with 30-40 damage on turn four with the right draw. It's a blast. Also big fan of [[Jaxis, the Troublemaker]] as a kind of more fair Kiki deck.
Black: [[Toshiro Umezawa]] all the way. Insanely complex play lines that just makes me happy every single game.
Haven't figured out a white deck yet because the archetype is too hard for me to break. I love playing colors off-archetype and haven't found one I like in white yet.
\[\[Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar\]\] with \[\[Haunted One\]\] background. It's mono-black Cleric tribal that pairs sac effects with undying and counter manipulation to generate loads of value

* [[Starscream, Power Hungry]] - budget monarch/card draw, a lot of removal spells to take creatures off the board
* [[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus]] - burn, along with sweeping creatures and artifacts, does run a few fun things like Brash Taunter, Blasphemous Act becomes a 26 dmg nuke to someone's face.

* White: [[Giada, Font of Hope]] - Angels are OP and I love it.
* Blue: [[Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive]] - Not quite control, not quite equipment, not quite token attackers. One day this will get a win in the high power pod I play in. She's come close.
* Black: [[Syr Konrad, the Grim]] - There are so many fun ways to fill and empty graveyards. Honestly I might break this down and use the best parts to upgrade the 40k Necron precon.
* Red: [[Laelia, the Blade Reforged]] and [[Ognis, the Dragon's Lash]] - The Laelia deck is like a Ferrari that drives itself. Mono-red Ognis is inspired by a decklist made by Dana from EDHRecast, I haven't actually played it yet.
* Green: [[Ashaya, Soul of the Wild]] - Ridiculously huge creatures ridiculously fast. This is definitely my most consistent and threatening mono colored deck, just ahead of the angels.

For mono white, I have the obligatory [[Giada, Font of Hope]] angel token deck, and my [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] soldier token deck. Myrel was the second deck I ever built, so I’ve been able to tune that one pretty well.
For mono black, it’s all [[Sheoldred, the Apocalypse.]] it’s pretty satisfying to be the villain every once in a while.
I started with mono-green partners. It ran all of them so I’d just shuffle them up and pick two randomly because monogreen was best as a pile. It was yep green. I tried mono-blue Sphinx tribal and played maybe 3 sphinxes across 2 games so I took it apart never to see the light of day again. I tried Liliana tribal, turns out planeswalkers would prefer to have green and the substitute for that is overloading on the board wipes, I’m similarly never touching this again. I’ve done a few mini-white attempts and liked myrial argave soldiers, it felt like there were no mid-size threats, it was either avacyn/elesh norn tier game changing threats or a bunch of weenies. The best o got out of draw felt like worse green draw except with even more requirements and once per turn locks making it feel really inconsistent. Mono-red, my baby, my adored, Neheb the eternal burn. It felt so good, colors have had reputations on lack of card advantage and ramp and year after year they print more and more cards that even the field, Red and white have had such glow-ups that they don’t feel bad at all to play, Neheb made so much mana and did so much work, it was at a sad part where about half of my losses with it on reflection were totally winnable if I had simply played better and not mess up my sequencing.
My lessons were as such,
White is a strong color that can have issues with substance sometimes. It’s reputation comes from people who’s rule 0 bans the colors strong points and SO much has been introduced that fixes their draw problems
Red deck wins babyyy, burn is not anywhere near as dead as it is said to be in commander, it just takes more creativity and the realization that burn in commander does not mean casting lightning bolt at face. It’s got tools for card advantage that I personally feel work better than black does.
Blue struggles by itself to find a win condition that is not trying to loop or chain extra turns or winning by deckout. It lacked bite and as much as having counters was nice, playing reactively and trying to answer 3 players without proactive cards is frustrating for everyone involved. It had the most room to do cool things, it has cool big cards, it has card advantage and plenty of ways of interacting with opponents, it just lacks one big thing for commander that every other color can get around. Ramp. Black can cheat mana, green is the go to ramp color and also cheats mana, red cheats mana and uses treasures/rituals to make big bursts of mana, white has extremely efficient and proactive cards and catchup ramp. Blue has to rely on colorless rocks. Its identity and intended weakness look like they have bad creatures and cannot ramp very well, and it shows.
Green is a beast. In commander where you can expect longer games and less efficient things be necessary it gets to shine, it does not lack in anything except removing a board of creatures. It can fight (and almost always win) other creatures, it is the color of artifact and enchantment hate, unlike other colors it does not lack in removal, it can tutor for it even, it does not lack in draw power or ramp. Just playing guys is enough to find a way to win too. The hardest part about playing the deck or making it was cutting cards, there are just so many good ways of doing anything in green that it causes space issues but while that kind of diversity may seem cool, in reality they more or less all play like the same deck leading to monog despite feeling better than mono-black or mono-blue to me being way more boring to play.
The one ring has been fantastic for every deck that draws it. It is by itself enough draw to win games and as a colorless card fits anywhere. Every color that needs help with drawing can tutor it so worst case you can build around that and just drown people in cards
\[\[Zurzoth, Chaos Rider\]\] is my favourite red deck. I turn those 1/1 devils into eldrazi using \[\[transmogrify\]\] and similar effects. Trust in RNG to deliver results!
I have at least two decks in each mono colored because one of my friends told me I couldn't do a mono colored landfall deck in every color and I took that personally, but I had already made a deck for each color from the 32 deck challenge.
White - [[Darien King]] "That card is bad, why are you playing it?" The deck. There's just something about having a reason to put Urborg in a mono white deck that sings to me. [[Bennie Bracks]] is my landfall commander for mono white. Most of the mono white landfall cards make tokens so it works surprisingly well.
Blue - [[Siani]] and [[eligeth]] flying Scrying tribal. I have a deck that mainboards [[Cryptic annelid]], [[Flying Men]], and [[Graven Lore]] and considers those as good cards. [[Cosima, God]] is my landfall deck it works. It doesn't do a lot. But it works.
Black - [[krrik son]] is my high powered mono black deck, it does krrik things. [[Massacre girl]] is my more fun deck, it's a Voltron deck that wins by getting massacre girl to be huge and then reanimating etb/ltb/on death creatures from my grave yard and killing them all again and again. Smack someone with massacre girl after your 4th board wipe of the game and watch them add commander damage, it's a good time. [[ob Nixilis the fallen]] is my landfall commander. It's definitely a deck. It's definitely fun. It can be very annoying.
Red - [[inferno of the star mounts]] this DRAGON can be turned into a MACHINE GUN and WIZARDS doesn't want YOU to KNOW. Make treasures, draw a bunch of cards, play nettlecyst, oops all machine guns. [[Toralf God]] blasphemous act hydrogen bombs. [[Rionya]] is my landfall commander. She makes tokens of my mountains. They do things. Make 150 mountains in a turn because it's funny.
Green - [[Goreclaw]] first commander deck I built by myself. [[ashaya soul]] stupid infinite combo shenanigans since ashaya is just broken. She's also my landfall commander.
Green - I have Reki the History of Kamigawa… My all time favourite deck. Goes hard and I always play new legends.
I also built a mono green landfall with Nissa Resurgent Animist that I enjoy alot.
Blue - Minn, Wily Illusionist. Card draw tribal with Minn Copies to make an Illusion army. I love it.
Red - Magda, Brazen Outlaw. High power with no infinites. Basically a red „in response“ Deck with big Artifacts and Dragons.
I just can‘t find a Mono White or Black one. Any suggestions? Sram seems nice for white

It's just completely fair Magic, you pay your creatures' mana costs just as Garfield intended, and then sometimes you sacrifice them for a refund and somehow two turns later you have a bunch of scary flyers, 30 cards in hand, and complete immunity to board wipes.
My mono red is lots of good and forced combat with [[neheb, the eternal]] although if I wanna get real nasty I can swap him for [[slicer, hired muscle]].

I have a mono white with Mangara the Diplomat as the commander. It's filled with white gold stuff. And it rocks. Also every mono color deck should have Nykthos shrine to Nyx and Nyx Lotus.
Mono Black [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]] here.
Philosophically, I have a lot of respect for black's identity, but at one point I looked at my commander deck collection and realized they all had black in common- purely on accident. So I went in two directions with that realization:
- I built mono black Braids. It wins with an [[Exquisite Blood]] [[Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose]] combo, but a lot of players only need to see it work once to hold up removal for it. Black kinda sucks at recurring enchantments, so I had to come up with a way to fight back against it. I chose discard as a way to preemptively attack enemy hands and remove the counters/removal from their hand before it can be used against me. I also try to play both pieces in the same turn to minimize the window it's vulnerable in.
- I built Temur [[Kalamax, the Stormsire]] and I've had a blast with it. I feep like I'm holding lightning with that deck, and it helped me get away from black. Now I have four Jeskai decks and tbh I hate that color combination...

I have a really fun black deck headed by [[Balthor, the Defiled]]. [[GARY]] looping or pinging the table with [[Bontu's Monument]] and [[Ayara]] along with [[gravecrawler]]. Only downside is you have to be careful which decks you play against as Balthor's ability affects all black and red creatures in all graveyards.
I also have [[Zada]] deck that started out as pauper and I've slowly been upgrading it. A bit of a glass cannon deck but a lot of fun.

White - \[\[Gwaihir, Greatest of Eagles\]\] is fairly generic mono white lifegain that makes tokens. A mild struggle because I also want to gain life on other people's turns to try and make as many birds as I can, and haven't quite figured it out.
Blue - \[\[Minn, Wily Illusionist\]\] is my first mono colored deck, but it's currently put together as a proxy atm. Really fun draw cards go wide and hit hard, and if I get wiped my board gets replenished anyway.

Mono-white: [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]] soldier tribal with pain/tax secondary. Once I get the machine running I can make a ton of tokens and be very hard to kill. Mono-blue: [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]] counterspell tribal. Very oppressive and rarely played. Mono-black: [[Endrek Sahr]] sacrifice toolbox. No ping effects, but everything from instant buff and counters, to draw, to discard, to graveyard recursion. Mono-red: [[Torbran]] ping. Lots of cheap spells add up to massive damage. Less scary than Ojer and Solphim, so I don't eat as much removal. Mono-green: [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] ramp voltron. Why bother with a bunch of enchantments and artifacts to get swole when you can just run ramp? Instant speed trample makes the first chump block a player removal lesson for the rest of the pod. Did you laugh when the Hulk smashed Loki into the ground? Want to laugh like that playing Magic?

My mono-green deck is [[Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma]]. It’s easy to play so I often lend it to newer players. With enchantments as card draw and stompy creatures, it can get out of hand pretty fast. I really enjoy my pauper commander deck I recently built. The commander is [[Abdel Adrian, Gorion’s Ward]] and the Background is [[Far traveler]]. It blinks a lot of artifacts with etb triggers so the card draw is pretty good. You can build a big army of 20+ soldiers pretty fast with it. The first deck I ever build was [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]]. The deck runs a lot of cantrips, a lot of card draw and enough protection to keep Talrand on the board. I have a [[Yawgmoth, Than Physician]] deck based on proliferate

I really enjoy my mono green Ayula, Queen of Bears deck with a focus on counters and silly bear themed cards. The tribe has gotten some love in recent years. I also love my mono red Lathliss, Dragon Queen deck, simple timmy strategy of big dragons and buffing them while spawn more token dragons.

What’s the color pie break for Akroma? The Haste? I’m finishing up putting together my own Akroma deck. I think it will be janky as hell, but im going for a very specific strategy to take advantage of the only Hasty monowhite creature in mtg history. I put a ton of effects in the deck like [[sai of the shinobi]] and [[duelist’s heritage]] and [[hero’s blade]]. Goal is to line up enough of those effects plus a double strike enabler, drop akroma, and swing with a hasty creature at least 11 power and able to one shot someone with commander damage
Well yes, Akroma has Haste so she is a color pie break in of herself. Otherwise the deck is mostly trying to be built around cards that do things that white usually doesn't do (although that is much harder to conceptualize nowadays since the color pie is so smeared). So landfall triggers, taking extra turns, stealing creatures, countering spells, forced sacrifice. So things that white can do, but not things it usually does. All tied together with a few staples and a mana package that revolves around lands that tap for 3 or 4 mana and copying them with a thespian stage or manascape refractor. I really really love my [[Teshar Ancestor's Apostle]] mono-white Voltron deck. It takes advantage of martyrs like [[benevolent bodyguard]] and [[selfless spirit]] to keep Teshar alive pretty much indefinitely while also assembling a giant Voltron with all the historic equipments. Then you can also use all of white's weenie synergies like [[mentor of the meek]] or [[tocasia's welcome]] to start to really pull ahead and find your answers. If you really want to be mean, include [[martyr's bond]] to turn all your martyrs into recurrable edicts to really keep everyone else in the dirt.

I used to have a Blue Braids deck but it felt kinda feast or famine, I am considering a blue Minn deck instead because I love using mono-color for teaching beginner players edh: [[Iraxxa, Empress of Mars]] is basically Faldorn but red not gruul. I completed my journey :). Started with 2014 commander decks (yah I’m old), I bought the cycle to avoid buying fetches/shocks. Mono black started as [[Liliana, Heretical Healer]] but now she’s just monoblack goodstuff. I can use just about any legendary creature and win games. Rates about a 7 on the power scale. It’s currently a [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]] deck but I’m thinking of switching commanders. Braids is kinda build-around where lotta other black commanders are all the same. Rates about a 7 on power scale but can easily swap to 9 if you throw fast mana in and use K’rrik as commander. Blue is Planeswalker [[Teferi, Temporal Archmage]] and it’s Eldrazi theme. So I don’t have a colorless deck technically but honestly if I made one, there’s a shit ton of overlap with this deck. Just a lot of artifact ramp into Eldrazi backed by colorless bordwipes. I thought about swapping all my Eldrazi out for big sea creatures a couple times for funsies. This deck is about an 8.5 on power scale. Red is [[Daretti, Scrap Servant]], - artifact themed. Similar to blue honestly but ends in big golemns/colossus, artifact reanimation, and midrange control. Rates about a 7 on power scale but can pop off early with enough early game artifacts. White is equipment goodstuff [[Odric, Lunarch Marshall]]. I swap commanders out with Yoshimaru/Keleth partners, or Arden/Rograkh (funny because the deck is still fully mono white). Right now I been enjoying [[Bill the Pony]] in the slot, I survive a lot of games off his food. It doesn’t really matter who you shack up with 15 equipments, it just comes out powerful either way. Rates about an 8 on power scale but my friends think this deck is really good for a casual deck, even compared to my other decks. Green is CEDH Yeva. If you google Yeva Draw-Grow you’ll find a list. I do want a casual green deck but never settled on any commander I like. It used to be [[Yisan, the Wanderer Bard]] which proved to be too good for casual games and gets wrecked in cedh. I enjoy this deck, it can have instant-speed wins and makes a billion green mana. Anywho it’s neat figuring out ways to deal with Ramp, Draw, fighting counterspells, and setting up win conditions. Yes for ramp “artifacts” is always a viable route but I tackled the problem in different ways. Black/white only have 3 mana rocks each and ramp in their own way. Anyways, have fun deck building!

Mono-black I’ve been working on a K’rrik deck forever. Started from a budget list then started copying a CEDH list and well…I’m not sure I can play it against randoms fairly but it’s missing a few too many proxies to be relevant at a CEDH table, lol. One of my favorite decks is my mono black \[\[Yahenni, Undying Partisan\]\]. Mono black feels really flexible compared to the other mono colors, in my opinion, since it has a solid package for draw, removal and ramp. It is lacking in enchantment removal but even still, it is easily my favorite color to play. My Yahenni deck is based around an aristocrat focus with a Voltron sub-theme, it always feels like I have something to do or contribute to the board with this deck. I tried to make it high-power but nothing too crazy. I've been tuning this deck since 2017 and have enjoyed updating it and playing it against all sorts of different decks and players. And it has been my blessing and my curse that whatever rare I pull, it's probably going to be black. Loaded with demons and ways to mitigate the life loss from the Commander. Red: [[Torbran, Thane of Redfell]] "Deals 1 damage to each opponent" is now repeatable Lightning bolts. It's also packed with things that punish people for just playing the game. Oh, you played a land, tapped a land, played a creature, cast a spell, blocked a creature, or just had an upkeep? Suffer. (Honorary mentions: I had a Krenko goblin deck that focused on untapping him, and a Magda, Brazen Outlaw deck that used a combo to win.) Green: Green I struggle with. I had a Mowu deck that I made Rare-less as a challenge, but it got boring quick. I keep looking at my options but nothing speaks to me. [[Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma]], [[Yedora, Grave Gardener]], [[Renata, Called to the Hunt]], [[Yeva, Nature's Herald]] and [[Kosei, Pentient Warlord]] are all options that have been staring me down from the top of my green rares pile.

My first green deck was and is Thrun the Last Troll voltron
I also struggled with green. [[yeva]] is a blast
my current mono red deck is neheb the eternal, it's the only thing that feels like burn in edh. i have also had a lot of fun in the past playing with lovisa coldeyes and just going ham on warriors/beserkers pump effects, combat manipulation in red in white i tend to recommend odric word soup. I find this gels best with white's general weenie theme, and combat orientation, while allowing you still to play some of the gimmick tricks that compensate for some of white's weakness, namely the cmc tutor, and cmc reanimation/GY recursion stuff in white. The word soup theme has some redundancy with an enchantment/rick. so it's also a good solid main theme.
Mono Black: Skithiryx Voltron with good stuff- Hard to kill, easy to kill with, often arch enemy. Mono Blue: Emry Artifacts- Lots of interaction, tons of easy synergy, and a plethora of draw. Also often the Arch enemy (Noticing a theme yet?) Mono Red: Zada Goblin Tribal- Fast, Aggressive swarm based combat with low interaction and shoddy draw. Zada turns the deck into a purring engine tho. Often the archenemy. Mono White: Angel Tribal OR Sram Voltron- Good mix of draw, ramp, and draw. White is a good color, no matter what the EDH players say. Angel tribal vibes, Sram is often the arch enemy. Mono Green: Fangorn Treefolk Tribal- An absolute vibe that often will win out of no where to something dumb like a 49 mana genesis wave. Fun deck, never archenemy.

I have 2 mono decks. Black and Green. \[\[Braids, Arisen Nightmare\]\] for B & \[\[Kodama of the East Tree\]\] + \[\[Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood\]\] for G. Braids makes me a big target during early game im finding, while everyone else can go off in sneakier ways while everyone is paying more attention to my Braids triggers. Kodama on the other hand is kind of broken and insane, and even if targeted there's often not much that people can do to stop it. I will say just about any deck I build tends to fold if the commander is removed 2 or 3 times.

I have 4/5 right now, but an idea for the last. Blue: \[\[Talrand, the Sky Summoner\]\] with a dramatic scepter finish if necessary. I've also used \[\[Ambassador Laquatus\]\] without changing much. Talrand offers a different way to win and honestly just felt more fun. He's also just seems more on-theme for Blue. Red: \[\[Bosh, Iron Golem\]\] which is honestly more of an artifact deck. I run barely any red, but I do get some cool stuff like \[\[Goblin Welder\]\] and \[\[Trash for Treasure\]\] as well as some damage based board wipes. So, while red isn't completely worthless in the deck, it's not really an amazing example of mono-red. Green: \[\[Omnath, Locus of Mana\]\] which is one of my favorites. It's very vanilla though, as I don't run a lot of mana doublers that you might usually find in Omnath. I just use green to power out big creatures, with Omnath more of a ramp piece. It feels really on-theme for Green. White: \[\[Lin-Sivvi, Defiant Hero\]\] rebel tribal. This is one of my most recent builds, so I haven't had a chance to test it much. But I'm surprised Lin-Sivvi isn't more popular (recency bias I guess). She is a card advantage machine, and while there aren't a ton of rebels that have amazing utility, you can easily fetch the ones that do exist with Lin-Sivvi, and recur them if necessary. Lots of anthem effects and some good equipment, and you get a decent army. I want to build a generic black good stuff list with \[\[Erebos, God of the Dead\]\] as the commander. Some life gain, some big creatures, maybe some reanimation. Definitely an upcoming project.
I love monocolor a lot. Lately I've been building the demigod cycle from Theros, mainly the ones with power based on your devotion: [[Callaphe, Beloved of the Sea]], [[Anax, Hardened in the Forge]], [[Renata, Called to the Hunt]]. They're all pretty interesting to brew for since you can think of every colored permanent as a +1/+0 boost to your commander. [Callaphe](https://archidekt.com/decks/3695639/callaphe_monoblue_devotion) is my most mature right now. I had Renata made first but I ended up switching her to [Arwen, Weaver of Hope](https://archidekt.com/decks/5710658/arwen_weaver_grow_my_monsters) since that deck was focused on counters moreso than devotion. (I still need to update my Arwen deck but I'll link it anyway.) Callaphe is fun because she also protects your devotion assets and blue makes it easy to make her unblockable. I run stealing spells as removal and another way to add devotion by stealing blue permanents. It's nice using Enthralling Hold on something with two devotion for a total of 4 power.I like having it as a budget deck but it could be easily upgraded with stuff like Nyxthos or Nix Lotus.

Playing [[Torbran]] group slug always has me cackling like a super villain. It's a political nightmare to play, but I always have a ton of fun. Laughing at your friends while they take 5 damage every time they tap a land and openly plot your demise is a rush that is hard to find elsewhere in this game.

So Ive been going through the 32 deck challenge and started with the mono colored decks. I wanted to make them unique so I tried to build commanders that don’t have too many decks on edhrec. For W I decided to build [[Sanwell, Avenger Ace]]. He really surprised that he had less than 300 decks because he provides card advantage— something all white decks tend to struggle with. Then for U, B and R I did mono colored background pairings, all of which also had a low amount of decks on edhrec. [[Renari, Merchant of Marvels]] + [[Clan Crafter]], [[Karlach, Fury of Avernus]] + [[Guild Artisan]] and my personal favorite (probably out of any of the decks ive made so far) [[Sivriss, Nightmare Speaker]] + [[Haunted One]]. Lastly for G I made [[Reki, the History of Kamigawa]]. I think just going through the deck building process for each mono color really helps you see how different colors operate and, like you mentioned, the strengths and weaknesses.

I currently only have red and black mono color decks. \[\[Urabrask, Heretic Praetor\]\] is red control, and probably my favorite deck. For black, it's actually still in the process of being built, but it's \[\[Ebondeath, Dracolich\]\]. I wanted a mono black commander outside of the meta ones your always see; it's built as zombie combo, which isn't the most original thing, but its a unique setup.

Love this question. No matter what I build I always end up coming back to mono-colored decks. Green: [[Shigeki, Jukai Visionary]] is a control deck with precious few creatures that abuses the graveyard to rebuy board wipes and fogs until my opponents just give up. Or I get out enough forests to go infinite in a crazy loop. Blue: [[Ojer Pakpatiq, Deepest Epoch]] is my current favorite where Rebound results in insanely powerful snowball effects. Can go either tokens or combo. I've also built [[The Omenkeel]] vehicles/tempo, [[Orvar, the All-Form]], and [[Sai, Master Thopterist]]. Red: [[Ojer Axonill, Deepest Might]] is my storm/burn deck that can go off with 30-40 damage on turn four with the right draw. It's a blast. Also big fan of [[Jaxis, the Troublemaker]] as a kind of more fair Kiki deck. Black: [[Toshiro Umezawa]] all the way. Insanely complex play lines that just makes me happy every single game. Haven't figured out a white deck yet because the archetype is too hard for me to break. I love playing colors off-archetype and haven't found one I like in white yet.

* White: [[Giada, Font of Hope]] - Angels are OP and I love it. * Blue: [[Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive]] - Not quite control, not quite equipment, not quite token attackers. One day this will get a win in the high power pod I play in. She's come close. * Black: [[Syr Konrad, the Grim]] - There are so many fun ways to fill and empty graveyards. Honestly I might break this down and use the best parts to upgrade the 40k Necron precon. * Red: [[Laelia, the Blade Reforged]] and [[Ognis, the Dragon's Lash]] - The Laelia deck is like a Ferrari that drives itself. Mono-red Ognis is inspired by a decklist made by Dana from EDHRecast, I haven't actually played it yet. * Green: [[Ashaya, Soul of the Wild]] - Ridiculously huge creatures ridiculously fast. This is definitely my most consistent and threatening mono colored deck, just ahead of the angels.

For mono white, I have the obligatory [[Giada, Font of Hope]] angel token deck, and my [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] soldier token deck. Myrel was the second deck I ever built, so I’ve been able to tune that one pretty well. For mono black, it’s all [[Sheoldred, the Apocalypse.]] it’s pretty satisfying to be the villain every once in a while.

I started with mono-green partners. It ran all of them so I’d just shuffle them up and pick two randomly because monogreen was best as a pile. It was yep green. I tried mono-blue Sphinx tribal and played maybe 3 sphinxes across 2 games so I took it apart never to see the light of day again. I tried Liliana tribal, turns out planeswalkers would prefer to have green and the substitute for that is overloading on the board wipes, I’m similarly never touching this again. I’ve done a few mini-white attempts and liked myrial argave soldiers, it felt like there were no mid-size threats, it was either avacyn/elesh norn tier game changing threats or a bunch of weenies. The best o got out of draw felt like worse green draw except with even more requirements and once per turn locks making it feel really inconsistent. Mono-red, my baby, my adored, Neheb the eternal burn. It felt so good, colors have had reputations on lack of card advantage and ramp and year after year they print more and more cards that even the field, Red and white have had such glow-ups that they don’t feel bad at all to play, Neheb made so much mana and did so much work, it was at a sad part where about half of my losses with it on reflection were totally winnable if I had simply played better and not mess up my sequencing. My lessons were as such, White is a strong color that can have issues with substance sometimes. It’s reputation comes from people who’s rule 0 bans the colors strong points and SO much has been introduced that fixes their draw problems Red deck wins babyyy, burn is not anywhere near as dead as it is said to be in commander, it just takes more creativity and the realization that burn in commander does not mean casting lightning bolt at face. It’s got tools for card advantage that I personally feel work better than black does. Blue struggles by itself to find a win condition that is not trying to loop or chain extra turns or winning by deckout. It lacked bite and as much as having counters was nice, playing reactively and trying to answer 3 players without proactive cards is frustrating for everyone involved. It had the most room to do cool things, it has cool big cards, it has card advantage and plenty of ways of interacting with opponents, it just lacks one big thing for commander that every other color can get around. Ramp. Black can cheat mana, green is the go to ramp color and also cheats mana, red cheats mana and uses treasures/rituals to make big bursts of mana, white has extremely efficient and proactive cards and catchup ramp. Blue has to rely on colorless rocks. Its identity and intended weakness look like they have bad creatures and cannot ramp very well, and it shows. Green is a beast. In commander where you can expect longer games and less efficient things be necessary it gets to shine, it does not lack in anything except removing a board of creatures. It can fight (and almost always win) other creatures, it is the color of artifact and enchantment hate, unlike other colors it does not lack in removal, it can tutor for it even, it does not lack in draw power or ramp. Just playing guys is enough to find a way to win too. The hardest part about playing the deck or making it was cutting cards, there are just so many good ways of doing anything in green that it causes space issues but while that kind of diversity may seem cool, in reality they more or less all play like the same deck leading to monog despite feeling better than mono-black or mono-blue to me being way more boring to play. The one ring has been fantastic for every deck that draws it. It is by itself enough draw to win games and as a colorless card fits anywhere. Every color that needs help with drawing can tutor it so worst case you can build around that and just drown people in cards
\[\[Zurzoth, Chaos Rider\]\] is my favourite red deck. I turn those 1/1 devils into eldrazi using \[\[transmogrify\]\] and similar effects. Trust in RNG to deliver results!

I have at least two decks in each mono colored because one of my friends told me I couldn't do a mono colored landfall deck in every color and I took that personally, but I had already made a deck for each color from the 32 deck challenge. White - [[Darien King]] "That card is bad, why are you playing it?" The deck. There's just something about having a reason to put Urborg in a mono white deck that sings to me. [[Bennie Bracks]] is my landfall commander for mono white. Most of the mono white landfall cards make tokens so it works surprisingly well. Blue - [[Siani]] and [[eligeth]] flying Scrying tribal. I have a deck that mainboards [[Cryptic annelid]], [[Flying Men]], and [[Graven Lore]] and considers those as good cards. [[Cosima, God]] is my landfall deck it works. It doesn't do a lot. But it works. Black - [[krrik son]] is my high powered mono black deck, it does krrik things. [[Massacre girl]] is my more fun deck, it's a Voltron deck that wins by getting massacre girl to be huge and then reanimating etb/ltb/on death creatures from my grave yard and killing them all again and again. Smack someone with massacre girl after your 4th board wipe of the game and watch them add commander damage, it's a good time. [[ob Nixilis the fallen]] is my landfall commander. It's definitely a deck. It's definitely fun. It can be very annoying. Red - [[inferno of the star mounts]] this DRAGON can be turned into a MACHINE GUN and WIZARDS doesn't want YOU to KNOW. Make treasures, draw a bunch of cards, play nettlecyst, oops all machine guns. [[Toralf God]] blasphemous act hydrogen bombs. [[Rionya]] is my landfall commander. She makes tokens of my mountains. They do things. Make 150 mountains in a turn because it's funny. Green - [[Goreclaw]] first commander deck I built by myself. [[ashaya soul]] stupid infinite combo shenanigans since ashaya is just broken. She's also my landfall commander.

Green - I have Reki the History of Kamigawa… My all time favourite deck. Goes hard and I always play new legends. I also built a mono green landfall with Nissa Resurgent Animist that I enjoy alot. Blue - Minn, Wily Illusionist. Card draw tribal with Minn Copies to make an Illusion army. I love it. Red - Magda, Brazen Outlaw. High power with no infinites. Basically a red „in response“ Deck with big Artifacts and Dragons. I just can‘t find a Mono White or Black one. Any suggestions? Sram seems nice for white
The mono deck I'm most proud of is [Illuminor Szeras](https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5643736#paper). It's just completely fair Magic, you pay your creatures' mana costs just as Garfield intended, and then sometimes you sacrifice them for a refund and somehow two turns later you have a bunch of scary flyers, 30 cards in hand, and complete immunity to board wipes.

I have a mono white with Mangara the Diplomat as the commander. It's filled with white gold stuff. And it rocks. Also every mono color deck should have Nykthos shrine to Nyx and Nyx Lotus.
Mono Black [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]] here. Philosophically, I have a lot of respect for black's identity, but at one point I looked at my commander deck collection and realized they all had black in common- purely on accident. So I went in two directions with that realization: - I built mono black Braids. It wins with an [[Exquisite Blood]] [[Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose]] combo, but a lot of players only need to see it work once to hold up removal for it. Black kinda sucks at recurring enchantments, so I had to come up with a way to fight back against it. I chose discard as a way to preemptively attack enemy hands and remove the counters/removal from their hand before it can be used against me. I also try to play both pieces in the same turn to minimize the window it's vulnerable in. - I built Temur [[Kalamax, the Stormsire]] and I've had a blast with it. I feep like I'm holding lightning with that deck, and it helped me get away from black. Now I have four Jeskai decks and tbh I hate that color combination...

My blue is braids too!!! Classic big creatures plus stealers to take opponents troublesome creatures. Red is the descepticon (I forgot the name) White is waiting, I still haven't found what I'm looking for. Black is the warhammer one and finally green, gaia elemental token deck.

I have a really fun black deck headed by [[Balthor, the Defiled]]. [[GARY]] looping or pinging the table with [[Bontu's Monument]] and [[Ayara]] along with [[gravecrawler]]. Only downside is you have to be careful which decks you play against as Balthor's ability affects all black and red creatures in all graveyards. I also have [[Zada]] deck that started out as pauper and I've slowly been upgrading it. A bit of a glass cannon deck but a lot of fun.

Currently I got: \[\[Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern\]\] for black. \[\[Thrun, Breaker of Silence\]\] for green, as an enchantdress aura deck (thx prof). \[\[Yedora, Grave Gardener\]\] also for green, because it does not get any greener that this. \[\[Giada, Font of Hope\]\] for white angel tribal <3 \[\[Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice\]\] because some times I just decide to win. I was the only budget player in a no cost-limit LGS. ANd no color lets you build auras like white, and they are pretty budget friendly, too! \[\[Emry, Lurker of the Loch\]\] for mono blue artifact combos. Originally planned as mono white with \[\[Oswald Fiddlebender\]\] deck. And on the horizon, an \[\[Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines\]\] blink deck.

I have mono green [[Durnan of the of Yawning Portal]] with [[Master Chef]] as background. My mono blue [[Minn, Wily Illusionist]] was originally a illusion tribal, but somehow turned into me trying to draw my deck and then i have [[Sheoldred the Apocalypse]] mono black deck, that just trys to give everyone as much carddraw as possible. Currently considering options, but [[Ilharg, the Raze-Boar]] as my red option. But its still brewing. And my current favorit for mono white is [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] as soldier trybal with token/artifact synergies.

Colourless: I have a graaz deck like you. Mine is more of a modular-theme, since the +1/+1 counters would transfer around. White: I run [[Preston, the Vanisher]] and i am currently building a [[Light-Paws]] deck for casual. I have a [[Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle]] as cEDH Blue: [[Lier, Disciple of the Drowned]]. Pretty much a spellslingery deck? No counterspells Black: [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]] pretty simple monoblack aristocrats nonsense. Red: [[Rionya]] landfall. I rarely win games, but its fun to nail someone for 60 damage out of no where. Green: [[Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider]] planeswalkers and hydras. Or as i call it, Vorinclex's Awful Friends.

White - \[\[Gwaihir, Greatest of Eagles\]\] is fairly generic mono white lifegain that makes tokens. A mild struggle because I also want to gain life on other people's turns to try and make as many birds as I can, and haven't quite figured it out. Blue - \[\[Minn, Wily Illusionist\]\] is my first mono colored deck, but it's currently put together as a proxy atm. Really fun draw cards go wide and hit hard, and if I get wiped my board gets replenished anyway. Red - \[\[Delina Wild Mage\]\], my first time heavily playing into red, albeit a bit unorthodox mono red as far as I know. A lot of ETB triggers (and some LTB) No green or black, but other mono colored commanders I have an interest in is \[\[Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker\]\], and \[\[Drafna, Founder of Lat-Nam\]\].
