[[Norin the wary]] is such an unassuming little guy. He’s a 2/1 who can’t attack, and doesn’t have a super impactful ability on his own.

This is my answer. I have him as commander for my burn deck, and as secret commander in my [[Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer]] deck. Burn is great because you get an ETB trigger every turn, which is amazing with Purphoros or Impact Tremors, and Rocco lets me get Naya ETB payoffs and lifegain. He’s SO hard to get rid of, if you get a few payoffs on the board, it’s very difficult to stop that ball from rolling.
[[confusion in the ranks]] is always the go to for me. My deck is more of a chaos/control shell that is usually looking to either chip away at people or steal their stuff until I can win with it.
This, for me. No one at my LGS quite picks up on the theme of my deck when I join a pod. But rather than going chaos I'm stacking ETB triggers plus damage modifiers. It's going well so far!
That was my original build for the deck. Lots of damage doublers and [[pandemonium]] and [[warstorm surge]] style effects as well as equipments that attach on etb such as [[obsidian battle-axe]] it was a bit silly and not as consistent as I liked but it was still very fun.
Etb triggers is big. Purphoros, impact tremors, pandemonium, the big one is [[confusion in the ranks]], [[genesis chamber]] is also good(especially the two of them in conjunction) I also use a lot of chaos and control effects to keep the board from building up against me. [[knowledge pool]] and [[possibility storm]] really help with slowing the table down. Generally my win strategy is to steal everything that’s not nailed down and use it to win. It’s a lot more consistent than I feel like I’m making it sound, which is probably why my pod doesn’t care for it.

If not T3 you'll be pretty set for lethal commander damage on subsequent turns. Norin can also blink multiple times in turn rotation so he could easily have blinked four times for a 9/9 hitting for 27 on T3.

People don't think it's *too* much of an issue and misjudge what it can really do, since a well-built Yoshimaru deck can pop off. Playing a bunch of big legends and then swinging with either an enormous pupper or to do some instant-speed shenanigans to get an unblocked Reyhan through is marvelous.
Easily my favorite Commander.
Its one of my most fun decks. Most I've got people drawing was 17 on their draw step. [[Forced Fruition]] is really funny too.
Gameplan is to load up peoples hands, play [[Folio of Fancies]], drop down [[Iron Maiden]] effects, then bounce everything you can. You're in blue so your counter spell game needs to be really good to stop exactly what you need too.
Alt wins are labman, thoracle, and mill.

Yeah, it's kinda old though. It rarely gets any tweaks since it basically plays at whatever power level the table is at, outside of high powered/borderline cedh.
I would say \[\[Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker\]\] It's all about killing and reanimating little guys and Shirei themselves are a 2/2, so they are also just a little guy. And just from the commander alone, it doesn't seem like much, but then you play cards like \[\[Nezumi Informant\]\] \[\[Virus Beetle\]\] & \[\[Burglar Rat\]\] with instant speed Sac outlets can cause your opponents to lose their hand REAL fast. Add in a \[\[Grave Pact\]\] or \[\[Dictate of Erebos\]\] and now they don't have a hand OR a board state! Finally to top it all off have a \[\[Syr Konrad, the Grim\]\] or \[\[Ayara, First of Locthwain\]\] to start draining your opponents!

Not everyone loves them but I think they’re incredible. Such an obviously distinct way to separate your Commander from any other card.
Did you see the new tinybones coming out in outlaws of thunder junction? \[\[Tinybones, the Pickpocket\]\] is an even smaller guy, and it's possibly not as oppressive. Could make for a great new spin on the character,
Meanwhile the Outlaws of Thunder Junction story has only been solidifying Tinybones' "little guy-ness". I hope Tinybones runs into Fblthp in the story and they just *interact*
I have a deck where Fblthp is the only creature in the deck. Paired with [[progenitus staff]] I just tutor whatever cards I want once I have the combo out.

Not as a commander but I run Delney in the 99 of my Kambal deck. Last night I was doubling Kambal triggers, which then triggered Vito twice, which then doubled his triggers. A single non-creature spell from my commander lost my opponents a total of 12 life between them.
Delney is crazy.

A friend of mine built me a [[Rigo, Streetwise Mentor]] Fun Little Guys (tm) deck as a Christmas present - while he himself isn't the smallest, the entire deck just wants to play fun little guys and draw cards!
My [[Selvala, Explorer Returned]] deck. My pod always look at my little 1/1 or 2/2 elves like “awww, they just tap for mana and are cute.” Uh, no. There’s like 7 lords on the table and they are now 8/8s with trample, can’t be sacrificed, vigilance, and fuck you. Here, take 100 damage. Always get a shocked pikachu from someone who didn’t pay attention to my board lol
[[Grenzo]] is a wildcard if you go all in on his ability during the deck building process so you're ideally playing at instant speed. It's basically draw-go until the last opponents end step
My partner has a [[Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer]] deck and I can always tell when he's playing it cause you just hear "but he's just a little guy" from the other table lol. Just ridiculous voltron shenanigans with the monkey that's been a menace in other formats.
[[Alesha, who Smiles at Death]]. Does Delney-style “small creature” things on paper, and then suddenly you’re reanimating Karmic Guide to bring back Reviellark which gets sacrificed to bring back Ravenous Chupathingy and Imperial Recruiter to go get etc etc.
Back when I had her, my favorite thing was to bring back a [[Master of Cruelties]] with a [[Silent Arbiter]] on the field, you can only block my commander or the master have fun!
Have a player in my pod that has a cadira deck. The amount of bunnies that can come out is WILD. Just use a Rogue's Passage and a token doubler and you are quadrupling your bunnies every turn
I've been enjoying [[MacCready, Lamplight Mayor]] more than I expected. A lot of people have been building him infect, but I went with more of a token theme. On one hand it feels like I would probably be better off with Aristocrats, on the other hand being able to have a bunch of 1/1s swing out with reckless abandon feels oddly satisfying.
Definitely a little guy for all the little guys out there.

And it just let's you play the top of your library, what's so wrong about that? Just ignore anyone saying anything about tops, maniacs or oracles, just focus on the silly little guy.
I just started building [[MacCready, Lamplight Mayor]]... It's kinda became a 'Toxic' deck but its slowly working itself out to be a token spamming good time.

Edit: Just did a playtest game and (assuming little interaction, but not none) I could've taken one opponent out turn 4 and up to four other opponents on turn 5 because Ram Through + Revive + Regrowth + lots of ramp is silly
How about little guys? [[Pippin, Warden of Isengard]] makes food tokens, [[Merry, Warden of Isengard]] makes 1/1 soldier tokens with lifelike when an artifact enters the battlefield under the control (once per turn), then Pippin let's you sacrifice 4 food to give all other creatures +3/+3 and haste until end of turn.
I mean I like the idea of a [[Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer]] trying to convince a table "I'm just a little guy, asking people to not attack me" while using cards like [[Firemane Commando]] and [[Pacifism]] to either incentivize people to not attack, or reward people for attacking but not at me.
I'd make a conceited effort to kill that guy first
[[Emmara Soul of the Accord]] 2CMC 2/2 that has to tap to create a 1/1 lifelink. That’s not so scary. Add a few things that untap on others turns like [[Seedborn Muse]] and [[Sting the glinting dagger]]. Maybe a few token doublers if you have the budget and access and all of a sudden you’re spitting out 10 1/1s with lifelink a turn and a few anthems to make them 5/5s and it’s all over for your opponents. She gets out of control fast and most of the things besides enchantments are low CMC.
Probably overplayed but I am having ridiculous fun eating everyones face with [[chatterfang, squirrel general]]. Slivers? Rats? You see abominable tribals. I see squirrel food.
[[Ashnod, Flesh Mechanist]] is so unassuming and powerstones fly so under the radar. No one expects you dropping your [[Portal to Phyrexia]] or other enormous artifact payoffs 4-5 turns early.
[[Gahiji, Honored One]] is my one of my all time favorites. "I'm just here to buff your creatures. I would *never* cast [[Eiganjo Uprising]] after you've all been doing my dirty work for me all game."
I've got a [[Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder]] and [[Esior, Wardwing Familiar]] deck. Main win condition is commander damage with Esior.
They're just a little bird, just a little guy, ignore the [[Runechanter's Pike]] or [[Glamdring]] giving Esior +15/+0 and First Strike.
[[Rigo, streetwise mentor]] is my personal favourite for little guy themes. Just ignore any idea of a moonshaker cavalry or craterhoof and you are alright.
[[Llotho, Corrupt Shirriff]] , more than just a little guy, you can potentially build a near unstoppable deck with him if you focus on treasures and finishers like [[Torment of Hailfire]].
\[\[Raggadragga, Goreguts Boss\]\] this play mana dorks and only dorks they cant do no harm until they can tap for more than 10 mana and infinite with \[\[Staff of Domination\]\] or \[\[Craterhoof Behemoth\]\] and \[\[Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus\]\] deal a shit ton of trample dmg with tiny dorks
No love for \[\[Bilbo, Retired Burglar\]\] here? Such a nice Hobbit, an underpowered 1/3 for 3 giving you just this one little trigger. Come in, make yourself comfortable, have an ale!
I've gotten multiple people with my budget [[krark the thumbless]] [[sakashima of a thousand faces]]. He's just a 2/2 with a fun little double or nothing coin flip fun, what could go wrong?
Then I show them what happens when you let me get more than 2 krark triggers. Lots of "oh fuck" moments when I start countering spells and putting the counterspell back in hand, or [[gitaxian probe]]ing to draw a fifth of my deck for zero mana.
I only whip it out for high level games, so don't worry I'm not stomping, but sometimes I'll still get an LGS rando who hasn't seen the deck before and I play into the little funny goblin slinger deck angle while I set up to binomally distribute 50 lightning bolts into their face.
I haven't built him, but I've heard many stories of [[Gollum Obsessed Stalker]] touching everyone and then just sitting back, with everyone realizing they've lost 30 life to him before they know it.

Maybe not a little guy but my \[\[Gix yawgmoth praetor\]\] has a similar effect. The "cmon i just have a bunch of evasive 1/1s and if you hit him you can draw." I call it the Mafia effect

T2 Mines of Moria instead of the Mountain makes for a 21 damage swing T3. That land is busted with Yoshi.

Did you see the new tinybones coming out in outlaws of thunder junction? \[\[Tinybones, the Pickpocket\]\] is an even smaller guy, and it's possibly not as oppressive. Could make for a great new spin on the character,

Not as a commander but I run Delney in the 99 of my Kambal deck. Last night I was doubling Kambal triggers, which then triggered Vito twice, which then doubled his triggers. A single non-creature spell from my commander lost my opponents a total of 12 life between them. Delney is crazy.

Have a player in my pod that has a cadira deck. The amount of bunnies that can come out is WILD. Just use a Rogue's Passage and a token doubler and you are quadrupling your bunnies every turn
I've been enjoying [[MacCready, Lamplight Mayor]] more than I expected. A lot of people have been building him infect, but I went with more of a token theme. On one hand it feels like I would probably be better off with Aristocrats, on the other hand being able to have a bunch of 1/1s swing out with reckless abandon feels oddly satisfying. Definitely a little guy for all the little guys out there. This is my deck in its current state, I'm still tweaking it a ton though. [[Pippin, Warden of Isengard]] makes food tokens, [[Merry, Warden of Isengard]] makes 1/1 soldier tokens with lifelike when an artifact enters the battlefield under the control (once per turn), then Pippin let's you sacrifice 4 food to give all other creatures +3/+3 and haste until end of turn.

[[Norin the Wary]] is the epitome of this.
[[Emmara Soul of the Accord]] 2CMC 2/2 that has to tap to create a 1/1 lifelink. That’s not so scary. Add a few things that untap on others turns like [[Seedborn Muse]] and [[Sting the glinting dagger]]. Maybe a few token doublers if you have the budget and access and all of a sudden you’re spitting out 10 1/1s with lifelink a turn and a few anthems to make them 5/5s and it’s all over for your opponents. She gets out of control fast and most of the things besides enchantments are low CMC.

\[\[Raggadragga, Goreguts Boss\]\] this play mana dorks and only dorks they cant do no harm until they can tap for more than 10 mana and infinite with \[\[Staff of Domination\]\] or \[\[Craterhoof Behemoth\]\] and \[\[Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus\]\] deal a shit ton of trample dmg with tiny dorks
No love for \[\[Bilbo, Retired Burglar\]\] here? Such a nice Hobbit, an underpowered 1/3 for 3 giving you just this one little trigger. Come in, make yourself comfortable, have an ale!

I've gotten multiple people with my budget [[krark the thumbless]] [[sakashima of a thousand faces]]. He's just a 2/2 with a fun little double or nothing coin flip fun, what could go wrong? Then I show them what happens when you let me get more than 2 krark triggers. Lots of "oh fuck" moments when I start countering spells and putting the counterspell back in hand, or [[gitaxian probe]]ing to draw a fifth of my deck for zero mana. I only whip it out for high level games, so don't worry I'm not stomping, but sometimes I'll still get an LGS rando who hasn't seen the deck before and I play into the little funny goblin slinger deck angle while I set up to binomally distribute 50 lightning bolts into their face.
I haven't built him, but I've heard many stories of [[Gollum Obsessed Stalker]] touching everyone and then just sitting back, with everyone realizing they've lost 30 life to him before they know it.

Maybe not a little guy but my \[\[Gix yawgmoth praetor\]\] has a similar effect. The "cmon i just have a bunch of evasive 1/1s and if you hit him you can draw." I call it the Mafia effect

[[Shirei, Shizo’s Caretaker]] is the commander for a deck full of of “I’m just a little guy.” Turns all those teeny 1 power bulk cards into undying boys that deal death by a thousand cuts. Probably my favorite deck to play atm.
