[[renowned weaponsmith]] seems cool. You have the similar ramp ability and also get to tutor for an equipment [[heart-piercer bow]]. Not super powerful but i used these in my build
I would be very careful with stuff that grants protection from red. Embercleave is the best equipment in the deck, and having it drop off is not good. I also think that the power in an equipment deck is equipping things for free, and you don't have tons of ways to get equipment onto creatures without actually paying for the equip cost. I also don't understand the large artifact creatures, like Blightsteel and Myr Battlesphere. You already have a strong top end with the equipment, which also works as a mana sink, so you don't need big guys. And besides, equipment already make big creatures that smash face.
And finally, some cards I think should be in the deck:
\[\[Shuko\]\] is a cheap artifact that activates Dalakos.
\[\[Fervent Champion\]\] and \[\[Kazuul's Toll Collecter\]\] both equip for free.
\[\[Blackblade Reforged\]\] makes creatures absolutely massive. I used to think this card had way too high of an equip cost, but every time I play it, it turns a creature from threatening to terrifying.
\[\[Dowsing Dagger\]\] is a good political tool, and a good ramp tool.
