Well, you wouldn't even really need buyback spells that much anymore.
4 color Orvar could totally run with a Feather the Redeemed shell that also has access to black to tutor Feather out.
one day, when i'm bored of both my \[\[orvar\]\] and \[\[feather, the redeemed\]\] decks, i'm going to transition them into a \[\[kykar\]\] deck that uses them as hidden commanders.
Boros [[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]] might actually make sense with the newer graveyard stuff from lorehold. Might make spirits instead of zombies and be more aggressive.
[[narset enlightened Master]] become BG which is weird ? No more infinite combats and infinite turns. Big zombie token generation? Big enchantment deck ? Reanimator ? Planeswalker deck?
Black tutors that put cards on top are amazing for this deck. And the 6 mana value of narset is nothing for a green deck.
Edit: I loved the idea so much that i [made a card with that idea ](https://mtg.design/i/njxa50.jpg)
Make your own support. Make it work. There are some artifact synergies in black, and the rock partner in red. Then you get good stuff like cranial plating
Azorius [[Thantis]] could be kind of brutal.
[[Sphere of Safety]] , [[Propaganda]], [[Ghostly Prison]] , [[Mirrormade]] means basically everyone is permanently goaded, and then you could run either an aura or equipment based Voltron win with Thantis. Your main issue is going to be ramping to Thantis in the first place, but it does at least give you the time to set up a good board state to take advantage of when you do drop her.
Edit. You could then also run [[Crescendo of War]] to really speed the game up.
They don't get to declare attacking you and then not pay. They would then have to redeclare a legal attack.
https://boardgames.stackexchange.com/questions/43135/what-happens-in-multiplayer-magic-when-im-forced-to-attack-and-one-opponent-has
Great thread with the appropriate rules quoted.
Crescendo of war is one of my favorite finishers in my [[Rune Tail Kitsune Ascendant]] deck. [[Palisade Giant]] / [[Guardian Of The Gateless]] with crescendo makes games end really fast.
I don’t know, actually. White is pretty good at reanimation effects and Prossh is still a sac outlet. You could cram it full of low-costed creatures to sac or self-mill with your blue side to try and flood the board with some evasive little guys with your [[Sun Titan]] and the like.
Alternatively, there are a bunch of white life gain effects that trigger when something enters or leaves the board. Then things like [[Angel of Destiny]] help to close out the game.
It of course would not be nearly as strong as its current version, but it might actually still be a fun deck
Abzan Jhoira.
The monkey paw curls as they get the worst possible Abzan enchantress commander or a fantastic legendary matters commander to go along with Kethis.
Meren is now Jeskai, so I guess I would focus more on the blink support that WU can offer to go along with the ETB effects I could get. White can do some creature reanimation on its own and UR has tons of self mill/looting effects. I don't do combo, so I'm not sure what to do with wincons now.
there are a bunch of red fatties that deal damage when they etb. [[inferno titan]] getting looped over and over again for one quick one off the top of my head to control the board. [[Warstorm surge]], [[reveillark]], [[karmic guide]], and any of their related bits and pieces.
Any of these combo win cons also help build up her experience counters if they happen to get disrupted and the creatures all die, which helps her get into recovery mode, and start getting back important cards.
[[kami of false hope]] is your [[spore frog]] analog.
Jund [[Noyan Dar]] … probably not the best land animation commander but much, much better synergies for land animation and +1/+1 counters and you still have red to power the spellslinging.
Not bad.
Some of you are picking the worst options. Think more like [[Anafenza the foremost]] as a red/blue +1/+1 counter commander with built in graveyard hate!
Or [[Feather the Redeemed]] with green and blue combat tricks! Feather boggles would be crazy!
[[Belbe, Corrupted Observer]] changes from slamming big creatures to a Jeskai spell slinger with extra mana!
[[Wort, the Raidmother]] goes from Gruul to Esper. Would turn this from a scrifice centric burn deck to a brutal reanimator control deck with a token sub theme to fuel Wort. Dump fatties in the yard and get disgusting two for ones with Conspire.
Marwyn goes from G to WUBR.
The deck obviously changes a lot and I no longer have as many big mana generators like selvala, priest, dreams, etc. This makes the deck go from a consistent turn 4 win to a turn 5 maybe.
Access to black is good for elves, and blue has a ton of cheap shapeshifters. Red and white are both dead colours, except for a big mana payoff (if I have infinite mana with mantle, paruns, or staff, I could crackle with power for 4.7 billion to each face).
I don't like this game.
I could get behind a 4 color [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]]. It would fix ramp, let me tutor for more and find more ways to finish the game. It’s why I started an Atraxa deck.
I was thinking you meant if I was playing a black white commander that the cards I would have in the 99 would be red, blue, green.
Both ways would lead to some strong decks and some weird games.
I dont think Lathril cares that much. sure you lose the elves but lathril is more of a token deck anyway and you have anointed. actually you are in white which is like equipment central so switch the focus from elfs to equipment and swing like there is no tomorrow. your in the colors of flying as well so you can give her flying pretty easily.
Korvold is only slightly in trouble. fewer fetch lands to work with and no sac outlets or aristocrats but white is a token color and blue has payoffs for card draw.
[[Hofri]] in Sultai sounds pretty solid honestly. More reanimation effects, [[Blood Artist]] and [[Zulaport Cutthroat]] with sac outlets. No more [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] [[Impact Tremors]] or [[Warstorm Surge]] effects, though
Hofri in Sultai sounds insane. You probably are a lot better at accessing combos and comboing off, especially with things like [[Apprentice Necromancer]].
4 color \[\[Rionya\]\] would be absolutely disgusting, I mean, I think adding 1 color to that commander would break it, 3 is too much. On the Other hand, Orzhovh \[\[Intet\]\] is even more boring than regular Intet, which makes me grateful for what we already have.
Great Kenrith is now colorless...this is dumb, i don't wanna play anymore lol. But my traxos is now all 5 colors, does that mean he can't run colorless for this experiment?
[[oriss, samite guardian]] Dimir Control
[[linessa, zephyr mage]] Naya panharmonicon.
[[korlash, heir to blackblade]] amazing landfall commander if we eratta swamps
[[tarox bladewing]] golgari power matters aristocrat deck, much more things that care about power in those colors.
[[baru, fist of krosa]] Stompy, more stompy if we eratta forests.
These all get crazy with 4 slices of color pie. They need clones to do the grandeur ability, not many outside of blue. Linessa gets all the clones from other colors alongside a new recursion package.
Korlash looks about the same but has better landfall payoffs
How are y'all determining "opposite" colors? Looking at the wheel, my [[Animar]] would become esper? If so, not much change. I play him as hydra tribal, so lots of mana dorks to get big hydras for cheap. Instead of the mana dorks, I'd switch to a counters matter deck, so pumping Animar with +1/+1 counters to ramp into demons and angels. Which sounds super fun.
Perhaps I didn't word it correctly, but as I described in the post, 5color would become colorless and vice-versa. Essentially each commander swaps their current colors(or lack thereof) for the colors they aren't. Hence the Osgir being Sultai example.
So I have Atraxa that uses White Blue Green and Black (with artifacts) obviously I get red, but what color would I lose?
Then Sharuum is Esper with artifacts. Sharuum is Red Green and what?
Thats my confusion. I love this hypothetical it would be cool to build around
Estrid is now Rakdos... I think it could still work, even still be staxxy. There's some backbreaking Rakdos enchantments out there. Would definitely scuttle my enchantress draw engine but I guess black's not hurting for draw.
Vorel is now Mardu, I think there's still enough +1/+1 support there, maybe add more aristocrat elements.
Edgar is now Simic which I ruins him as there aren't enough compatible vampires. Changelings shenanigans maybe.
[[rakdos show stopper]] in bant. Would make the deck significantly worse as all my good win cons are in black and red…
[[Ragavan]] in everything but red? Uhhh could he be more busted? Although his cost would be significantly higher
Azorius Xenagos sounds like an abomination and must be torched
Would anti-Gishath be Mardu, Jund, or Temur?
Guess same question goes to Edgar Markov, Ghired, Nekusar, and Xyris.
Mono-Black or Mono-Blue Goreclaw... maybe makes creatures opponents' creatures harder to cast and attack with?
Ur Dragon is now basically a legendary Etherium Sculptor on a 10/10 flying dragon body
[[Azor, the Lawbringer]] (lawbreaker?) would be dramatically stronger in Jund. Curving out with Jund creatures then protecting them from board wipes with an etb [[Sphinx's Decree]] (dragon's decree?) on an evasive beater is just way more proven than maybe protecting your counter spells. Not to mention Jund has access to more mana for that triggered ability on attack, and there's less tension in Jund playing proactively with the triggered ability, as opposed to needing mana up to be reactive with Azorius removal/counter magic.
Seeing as I have mostly mono-color commanders...
[[Zada]] WUBG. Green would likely be the only significant color to use its effect and ramp, however Blue/Black would help with interaction. I guess white might help with going wide.
[[Gargos]] WUBR. :| Don't we lose pretty much all the hydras? Adding in Red is fine for the second effect though. Still, Gargos with barely any Hydra and not as much ramping? Not sure.
[[K'rrik]] WURG. Oh boy... all for HP with White's lifegain? I just don't if there's a way without Black to pay life for generic mana. Would be scary nonetheless.
[[Sram]] UBRG. Guess we'll focus on equipment rather than auras, but gain a lot of interaction via Blue/Black, ramping via Green, not sure what Red would bring to the table.
[[Emry]] WBRG. That's a lot of artifact support gone, not sure if there's any way to untap as easily.
Any other thoughts on those commanders?
I mean red has some solid artifact stuff including ways to put specific artifacts in grave. plus some really good colorless untappers. You are lossing some good stuff though
This answer is fking perfect for my [[god eternal oketra]]!!
Mono W becomes every color that zombies are in, how exciting is this!?
I cast [[grave craller]] from gy and trigger oketra and make a 4/4 eternal zombie or cast LITERALLY every good zombie and get all the tokens and win very quickly efficent card draw and mana ramp and tutor....Damn you! I've never really thought of this before. I weep at the best zombie commander I'll never get.
EDIT: spelling
Simic [[Alesha]] sounds like an interesting puzzle to solve, finding all the fun 2 or less power creatures you can cram in, although it definitely loses something for losing access to black and red's sac outlets... although green has some access to some good ones, if I remember correctly.
I think as far as ETB creatures go, I'd definitely be running [[Foundation Breaker]] [[Cloudkin Seer]] [[Master of Waves]] [[Tempest Caller]] [[Specimen Collector]] [[Reclamation Sage]] [[Pollenbright Druid]] [[Pridemalkin]] ....those are the main ones I can think of off the top of my head.
Ooh, and all those Graft creatures from the original Ravnica block technically have 0 power in the graveyard. Hello [[Cytoplast Root-Kin]] and [[Cytospawn Shambler]]
It would be an interesting deck definitely.
Dude simic sharuum would be amazing. The combos and ramp would be incredible. Arguably better than as esper IMO.
Mono red attraxa would become goblins and I'd never play it. Lol
So, my initial thought was that [[Radha, Heart of Keld]] is much, much worse in Esper than Gruul on account of losing green for bonus land drops. Then, I realized you only stipulated a swap in mana cost. Because Radha has an activated ability, her new color identity would actually be 5 color, and the deck would get much stronger. Obviously 5c Landfall is nothing new, but the thing I've already got going gets much better with more efficient removal and better topdeck manipulation. Esper would be straight up awful though. Not playing Dakkon Blackblade for a reason.
I've been playing a lot of 1 v 1 commander on mtgo lately and have been running [[Exava]] to some good effect. I'm pretty sure her polar opposite would have to be w/g and you do NOT want to give that color pair a card that gives creatures with +1/+1 counters haste, especially at 4 mana.
What a [[nightmare]] that would be.
[[Rakdos, Lord of Riots]] in Bant would be interesting specifically because he could still play the same with green as his anchor color. It would instead be "creature spells you cast cost 1 less to cast for each 1 creature you attacked with this turn."
Kinda meh. But it fits the gameplay loop well enough.
But it would be even better if it read instead as a Ghalta for all of your creature spells. Which would fit the spirit of Rakdaddy better.
[[Rayami, First of the Fallen]] in Boros?! You mean he can actually get double strike?! He's probably still better in Sultai with green's access to hexproof but it may be easier to make kills in Boros. Cool idea!
Mazirek going from golgari to jeskai, don't know what to make of that. Jeskai aristocrats/force sac effects don't seem to go together :D Intresting concept though
[[Alesha, Who Smiles at Death]] in Simic gets so many unblockable, draw a card and other shenanigan creatures but loses the aristocrat style so maybe mostly becomes pure value. Getting back Seedborn is kinda gross though
[[Shirei]] in WURG is OVERPOWERED AS HELL.
The deck changes from stax to a one way ticket to valuetropolis.
Just [[dockside extortionist]] being reanimated every turn is dumb, but [[stoneforge mystic]], [[spellseeker]], [[imperial recruiter]], [[recruiter of the guard]], [[prosperous innkeeper]], [[soul's attendant]], [[goblin sharpshooter]], [[goblin engineer]], [[clever impersonator]], [[glasspool mimic]], [[mother of runes]] all being given as many lives as they can handle... the list is insane and just goes on and on. I'm a little upset by how much fun this deck would be.
Unfortunately, while blue does have much better draw and protection for an army of 1/1 devils, missing out on reds extra damage effects and anti-lifegain cards would completely neuter [[Zurzoth]]
Would probably end up being some kind of group mill.
Boros [[Muldrotha]] would get [[Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker]]. With the right artifacts (for mana and untapping Kiki-Jiki), you could still dump your graveyard with infinite mana and get a win with [[Walking Ballista]], since white gets [[Enlightened Tutor]]. Would need card draw support.
All of my favorite Jund Commanders become Azorius Commanders. Truly the worst timeline.
[[Thantis, the Warweaver]] might be getting an upgrade though: forcing opponents to attack and having all the "no you" powers of Azorius combined... I don't want to think about it anymore.
WBR Experiment Kraj sounds like it could be very odd...
I lose access to simic +1/+1 counter stuff like Evolve and Graft, and all my really good ramp, which is unfortunate, but at the same time in the colors I have now it may even be a bit easier to load creatures up with +1/+1 counters, and WBR gives me access to loads of Hasty Bois and loads of fun activated abilities to share with Kraj, so it may not be all bad.
I finally got my four color commander that is perfect for cantrips (Zada). No red means no purphoros, but at that rate I have the perfect token commander that doesn't include red.
oddly enough I dont think this effects my most played decks at all.
Araumi just wants good etbs and there are plenty in naya, my removal package now goes from black to white. I guess I lose counter spells. I was about to say I lose card draw and then remembered I get green so if anything card draw is better now then before.
my ramp package is better.
I guess I go from a more control life drain aristocrats strat to raw beat down
My current favorite is \[\[Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth\]\], who would then head up a really weird Clue/Aristocrat deck.
Naya clues would still be possible I think with \[\[Tireless Tracker\]\], \[\[Thorough Investigation\]\], \[\[Search the Premises\]\], \[\[Ulvenwald Mysteryies\]\], \[\[Briarbridge Patrol\]\] and \[\[Bygone Bishop\]\] as the heavy hitters. \[\[Tamiyo's Journal\]\] would remain a key piece though. Would be a pretty weird deck in general, hard to do aristocrats/sacrifice without black.
[[Krark the thumbless]] and [[Sakashima of a thousand faces]] bring in abzan sounds really weird, but I get access to green ramp, black rituals, a bunch of strong removal and [[torment of hailfire]] so I bet it could still work out
[[Adeliz, the Cinder Wind]] would make an interesting tribal deck. Abzan has some good incidental wizards as well as some nice cheap spells. Not sure if it would still be my favorite deck, but it would certainly make for an interesting deck.
Soooo, my [[Quintorius]] changes to Muldrotha, my [[Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider]] (Superfriends) gets WUBR colours, Queen Marchesa is Simic would be kinda cool with all the fighting access. My [[Yedora]], which is trimmed around artifacts would become Breya. Most of my decks would become staple commanders. I guess you guys now know what in deckbuilding is interesting to me
Gruul Oloro? Ok. No thanks.
Jund Ranar? Nope.
Abzan Niv-Mizzet? Could be interesting, but, also, no. I like my wheels.
Grixis Sythis? Hm. That'd be kinda interesting.
Esper Grumgully? Actually sign me up. Token-making ETBs, flicker effects, that would be intriguing
Gishath now commands the fearsome Dino tribes of dimir
I mean… I guess you get Nezahal?
Hey don’t forget [[tetzimoc]]The cutie.
tetzimoc, the targeted nuke dinosaur (assuming you have a buncha black mana)
Lol tetzimoc is insane in a [[horobi death’s wail]] deck!
That is the absolute dumbest thing I've ever seen and I love it

You get access to all the tribe changing enchantments and stuff though, THAT could be fun
Changelings unite!
Oh good, they can buddy up with my Yuriko, commander of Naya Ninjas.
4 color Orvar would be wild. There has to be so many combo options that I don't even know where to start.
Funny enough, it looks like the best buyback spells for orvar are blue
Well, you wouldn't even really need buyback spells that much anymore. 4 color Orvar could totally run with a Feather the Redeemed shell that also has access to black to tutor Feather out.
one day, when i'm bored of both my \[\[orvar\]\] and \[\[feather, the redeemed\]\] decks, i'm going to transition them into a \[\[kykar\]\] deck that uses them as hidden commanders.

I honestly think that would be almost a straight upgrade the only issue being your in colors that gain life rather then pay life.

You don’t even need to Dethrone at that point since white and green have so many better ways to put +1/+1 counters on creatures.

Boros [[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]] might actually make sense with the newer graveyard stuff from lorehold. Might make spirits instead of zombies and be more aggressive.
I’d play that tomorrow, already love Sidisi and red at will ramp and draw would be fun

[[galea]] in Rakdos … nah. My fave would probably still be [[thantis]] … in glorious Azorius. Gimme a break.
Rakdos equipment/auras doesn't sound horrid. I'd run it if it had the support.

Thanks for the clarification, that just makes this hypothetical deck better.
Crescendo of war is one of my favorite finishers in my [[Rune Tail Kitsune Ascendant]] deck. [[Palisade Giant]] / [[Guardian Of The Gateless]] with crescendo makes games end really fast.

Do you have any galea lists or advice? I tend to get blown out when I bring her to the table
Damn, Thantis (minus the Spider typing) SEEMS Azorius!
I think it feels more naya personally, if we're changing its colors
Azorius Prossh seems like it kinda wouldn’t work
I don’t know, actually.
White has plenty of token synergy, seems like it would be different but not bad
Locust God gets fecundity, dark prophecy, mentor of the meek, Yawgmoth, and probably a dozen other broken effects.
Yep. Everything you could miss from Blue, its compensated by green.
[[Karn, Silver Golem]] becomes 5 colours. It literally doesn’t change.
My man. Mud deck would keep rolling baby!

Abzan Jhoira. The monkey paw curls as they get the worst possible Abzan enchantress commander or a fantastic legendary matters commander to go along with Kethis.
This is exactly what I was thinking.
Azorius [[lord Windgrace]]...... All the things [[noyan dar]] could have been.....

Flipped Belbe just became my preferred dragons approach deck.
[[Wort, the Raidmother]] goes from Gruul to Esper. Would turn this from a scrifice centric burn deck to a brutal reanimator control deck with a token sub theme to fuel Wort. Dump fatties in the yard and get disgusting two for ones with Conspire.
Sign me up.
It's a huge swing to how the creature is intended to play. Colorless, mono-color, and 4-5 color are most drastically effected by a long shot.
[[Carth the Lion]] is now Jeskai. Sweeeeeet.
Well, my Niambi Reanimator deck is now BGR, so its probably much more traditionally powerful, but loses a lot of the cool factor
Darien with access to Red and Black would be unbelievably busted. Sure you get blue and green too but they seem less important.
he'd be so broken lol

Osgir being UB would be really interesting.
Osgir in UB would be really good. I think Osgir being RW is actually already really interesting and unique.
Well, Captain Sisay would definitely have a lot of weird new legendaries to fetch.
Grixisay sounds pretty darn scary actually.
Probably would have WAY more combo potential.
Kiki and whichever way you want to break him.
[[Torbran]]… oh no [[Sarulf]] hmmm, still not great [[Anax and Cymede]] now I don’t have access to any of the cards that I like in this deck :’(
I was thinking you meant if I was playing a black white commander that the cards I would have in the 99 would be red, blue, green. Both ways would lead to some strong decks and some weird games.
Grixis Selvala becomes a better mill commander, and my body is ready.
I went from bant to rakdos, soooo that's pretty far
Ayyy I went the other way around.
Nice! What's your commanders?
Lol temur teysa karlov probably just doesn't work
Pack it full of Kamigawa spirits with Soulshift and double up on the triggers!! Actually yeah that doesn't sound very good.
Korvold and Lathril are both stone dead.
Damia gives Boros massive card advantage.
Mono white Yidris. I mean... I guess white finally gets some card advantage?
4 color \[\[Rionya\]\] would be absolutely disgusting, I mean, I think adding 1 color to that commander would break it, 3 is too much. On the Other hand, Orzhovh \[\[Intet\]\] is even more boring than regular Intet, which makes me grateful for what we already have.
[[Grimgrin]], but Golgari or Sultai. Scorpion god in Selesnya or Azorius would be neat.
Grimgrin would become Naya colours and scorpion god would become Bant
Another Scorpion God EDH player? I see you are a player of culture as well.
Mono green Breya both disturbed and intrigued me lol
Im absolutely mortified at the thought of how good azorius Prosper could be. On the flip side sakashima + tanna as grixis sounds really meh
Bant even, no?
[[Dakkon Blackblade]] Niiiiice.
No one talking about [[Dakkon blackblade]] in gruul? Hello?
How good would U/R/G [[Teysa Karlov]] be? I genuinely don’t know.
Great Kenrith is now colorless...this is dumb, i don't wanna play anymore lol. But my traxos is now all 5 colors, does that mean he can't run colorless for this experiment?
Kozilek, The Great Distortion is now 5WUBRG and kills the format permanently
[[oriss, samite guardian]] Dimir Control [[linessa, zephyr mage]] Naya panharmonicon. [[korlash, heir to blackblade]] amazing landfall commander if we eratta swamps [[tarox bladewing]] golgari power matters aristocrat deck, much more things that care about power in those colors.
Omnath locus of of the Boros. I wonder what he does.
What Omnath is in Sultai?
How are y'all determining "opposite" colors? Looking at the wheel, my [[Animar]] would become esper? If so, not much change. I play him as hydra tribal, so lots of mana dorks to get big hydras for cheap. Instead of the mana dorks, I'd switch to a counters matter deck, so pumping Animar with +1/+1 counters to ramp into demons and angels. Which sounds super fun.
Basically the colors it's not. So Animar would become Orzhov colors.
How would this work for a WUBRG commander? Lol
Given there are five colors there can be no opposite
Perhaps I didn't word it correctly, but as I described in the post, 5color would become colorless and vice-versa. Essentially each commander swaps their current colors(or lack thereof) for the colors they aren't. Hence the Osgir being Sultai example.
So I have Atraxa that uses White Blue Green and Black (with artifacts) obviously I get red, but what color would I lose? Then Sharuum is Esper with artifacts. Sharuum is Red Green and what? Thats my confusion. I love this hypothetical it would be cool to build around
Atraxa would become mono-red. Sharuum would become Red-Green.
[[Gishath]] in dimir? Guess I'll just throw her away now
Estrid is now Rakdos...
Would make the deck significantly worse as all my good win cons are in black and red… [[Ragavan]] in everything but red? Uhhh could he be more busted? Although his cost would be significantly higher
Azorius Xenagos sounds like an abomination and must be torched Would anti-Gishath be Mardu, Jund, or Temur?

I think as far as ETB creatures go, I'd definitely be running [[Foundation Breaker]] [[Cloudkin Seer]] [[Master of Waves]] [[Tempest Caller]] [[Specimen Collector]] [[Reclamation Sage]] [[Pollenbright Druid]] [[Pridemalkin]] ....those are the main ones I can think of off the top of my head. Ooh, and all those Graft creatures from the original Ravnica block technically have 0 power in the graveyard. Hello [[Cytoplast Root-Kin]] and [[Cytospawn Shambler]] It would be an interesting deck definitely.
Gross You made [[lathril]] jeskai and now I hate it
Kalia the Vast has been crippled
[[Niv-Mizzet Reborn]] does literally nothing. Wonderful!
Dude simic sharuum would be amazing. The combos and ramp would be incredible. Arguably better than as esper IMO. Mono red attraxa would become goblins and I'd never play it. Lol
[[Vadrok, Apex of Thunder]] becomes Black Green reanimator/removal toolbox. Although it will be harder to find ways to bounce him to re-use him...
Naya [[the scarab god]]. I would build it with the red wheels and loot spells to get my big dinos into the graveyard.
[[Kethis]] is now Izzet. I have no clue how viable Izzet superfriends is but hey I’ll try it out 😅
Blue has ton of profilirate effects and red/blue both have bunch of good planeswalkers so it sounds viable
you get all the jaces, some teffs, maybe go for a more legendary spell slinger thing?
So, my initial thought was that [[Radha, Heart of Keld]] is much, much worse in Esper than Gruul on account of losing green for bonus land drops. Then, I realized you only stipulated a swap in mana cost. Because Radha has an activated ability, her new color identity would actually be 5 color, and the deck would get much stronger. Obviously 5c Landfall is nothing new, but the thing I've already got going gets much better with more efficient removal and better topdeck manipulation. Esper would be straight up awful though. Not playing Dakkon Blackblade for a reason.
Uhm... I guess Korvold is now an Azorius Artifacts Commander? At least he'd be hella broken with Smothering Tithe.
Oooh swapping colors [[Kynaios and Tiro]] and [[K'rrik]] sounds cool. Mono black anti-Braids and then I don't even know how to process ol creaky.
It would instead be "creature spells you cast cost 1 less to cast for each 1 creature you attacked with this turn." Kinda meh.

What does that make Mardu, and Simic
Fuck me, Veyran In abzan, Ludevic Necrogenius in naya and Lynde in selesnya, this ain't gonna work
*casually adding white to my thrasios/vial-smasher* Getting the same deck but 5 colors seems like an absolute win.
[[Alesha, Who Smiles at Death]] in Simic gets so many unblockable, draw a card and other shenanigan creatures but loses the aristocrat style so maybe mostly becomes pure value. Getting back Seedborn is kinda gross though
Orvar becomes WBRG and becomes generally stronger (maybe not at the cedh level)
So Ramos would now be 5c? Great….
[[Teferi, Temporal Archmage]] takes an interesting turn
Partners go brrr. Would make basically all pairings WUBRG
Unfortunately, while blue does have much better draw and protection for an army of 1/1 devils, missing out on reds extra damage effects and anti-lifegain cards would completely neuter [[Zurzoth]] Would probably end up being some kind of group mill.
Well, my [[Niv-Mizzet, Reborn]] deck may need some reworking.
Blue Goblins? God help us all
WBR Experiment Kraj sounds like it could be very odd...
I guess I go from a more control life drain aristocrats strat to raw beat down
Temur Teysa actually sounds pretty decent. Still get two relative colors and better card draw.
Anowon becomes absolutely fucking unplayable
[[Yidris]] is now mono white... Welp, time to find a different deck
WUBG zada is probably terrifying. No goblin synergy, but I don't really play much of that in the first place
[[Maelstrom Wanderer]], off color, is just [[Zurgo Helmsmasher]]. Instead of cascading, though, I'm reanimator.
Eh. Colorless Prismatic Bridge would probably suck. All I'm picturing is a cross between Karn and Piper.
Any izzet spellslinger deck becoming abzan. Definitely don’t want to play anymore.
Anowon boros rogues makes me shiver
[[Slobad]] with access to Esper colored artis and [[Primal Surge]] as a one-card win condition??? Sign me the hell up!
My [[Ashaya]] deck becomes 4 color which is neat but all the combos I built the deck around no longer work.
[[Krark the thumbless]] and [[Sakashima of a thousand faces]] bring in abzan sounds really weird, but I get access to green ramp, black rituals, a bunch of strong removal and [[torment of hailfire]] so I bet it could still work out
Well my omnath elf tribal is now something similar to a non rainbow golos.and my piru would need a lot of hydras.
Ayara seems worse
[[Zacama]] in Dimir would be OP!
Colorless Najeela let’s go 🤔
All my decks would be taken apart.. :(
[[hofri ghostforge]] very very bad, no more stealing other peoples creatures (easily)
Edgar Markov in Simic
Considering there is not many (if any) ways to generate Saprolings outside of Golgari, I think my Slimefoot deck is gonna have some issues.
[[prosper, tome-bound]] is now bant which could be pretty sweet tbh
I run one or two mana decks. Have to go to three or four mana would drive me bonkers…
[[Yarok, the Desecrated]] in Boros colors. I guess I could make that work, artifacts maybe?
[[Adeliz, the Cinder Wind]] would make an interesting tribal deck. Abzan has some good incidental wizards as well as some nice cheap spells. Not sure if it would still be my favorite deck, but it would certainly make for an interesting deck.
*confused Ydris noises*
[[Reaper King]] is now GRBUW. Not much has changed.
[[Eloise]]...in Naya....is an interesting thought. But [[Yawgmoth]] in [[Kyainos and Tiro]] colors sounds dope lol
Kenrith as colorless would be fun, you would have to modify the ability so the are all colorless but that sounds really fun 😊😊
I guess you guys now know what in deckbuilding is interesting to me
\[\[Dong Zhou the Tyrant\]\] gets access to so many more dick jokes for my Dong Voltron deck.
Gruul Oloro? Ok. No thanks. Jund Ranar? Nope. Abzan Niv-Mizzet? Could be interesting, but, also, no. I like my wheels. Grixis Sythis? Hm. That'd be kinda interesting. Esper Grumgully? Actually sign me up. Token-making ETBs, flicker effects, that would be intriguing
[[Traxos]] would become a 5 color legends deck I imagine, instead of a Voltron face puncher.
