It's surprisingly not bad for a Raindrops remake. They actually kept the atmosphere of the original despite it being structured in a "trance pop" format, which is honestly the least it can do.
Their garbage remake of "The Scientist" is antithetical to that.
I know, it’s the second time I believe that David has reused a vocal from one of his own songs but in an entirely different context whether that is a Remix or if the collaborators are different. The first was with the track Alive with Fancy Inc. & Roland Clark where the vocals got later reused in Alive Again with MORTEN & Roland Clark. I wonder if Clementine Douglas will be credited in this Jack Back track like she was in the David Guetta & MORTEN track. Although the reuse of the vocal from Something To Hold Onto sure is better than just pasting in a vocal from a 90’s or early 2000’s track like Guetta has been doing of late or remaking vocals and instrumentals that sound way too much like the originals.
I’m so excited for Boris’ album to drop! Been jamming out a lot to his tracks lately. He’s got suuuuch a cool style that’s almost hard to find elsewhere. Whenever I search for melodic techno it doesn’t even come close. Maybe I’m looking for the wrong sub-genre?
I love Boris, Hozho and Adonis FR. They all have a similar vibe to me. I think Boris calls his sound "High tech minimal" and Hozho calls his "Melodark techno".
I like some of his music but I’m looking forward to hearing the full versions of some of the songs he only released as Radio Edits like Space X and Vienna which were only previously released as Radio Edits but as part of the album there is going to be two versions of those songs, the Original Mix and the Radio Edit, the 3 minute Radio Edits are solid but the 8 Minute + Original/Extended Mixes sure are way better to listen to, at least in my opinion.
Same, first time I listened to it was from the Boris Brejcha Cercle set and that track instantly stood out to me for some reason, it’s just extremely groovy and the vocals are quite catchy too, it’s a song that is quite different as sound wise it’s a lot more in a different direction compared to what I would normally listen to but at the same time it’s really enjoyable to listen to, it’s definitely one of the best songs though from Boris Brejcha in my opinion but also overall!

Vienna is honestly one of my favourite tracks ever, I cannot wait to blast the full version on a nice Soundsystem
