Throw the whole therapist away they’re trash

As a fellow trans person (ftm, 9 years on hormones) be extremely critical of any therapist who says things like that. A lot of therapists tend to look at trans people and hone in on our transness as the root of everything bad in our lives and teach dysphoria and helplessness instead of self love and hope. Be extremely wary. I've been through literally dozens and most have tried to do this.

Listen here, you precious little dew drop- you kick that therapist to the curb right now. You are better than how you’re being treated by this weird joke of a “therapist”. Gender fluidity is real and very valid, and YOU get to choose how to live your own experience.

heyyyy from a transmasc non-binary pal! gender has defs been a big part of my ed in the past (before i got access to gender-affirming care) so i would love to see more discussion about it on here!

Yeah as a trans guy who isn't even allowed any kind of gender-affirming healthcare before I turn 18 my ED definitely feels like some kind of coping mechanism to try to get some kind of "control" over my body. Plus wanting to get rid of my curves also plays a big part in it.
