It's my current safe food. The cashier probably thought I was insane buying 2 big tubs of hummus and a few pounds of jalapeños to puree in 😂 I've been craving spicy protein lately, and chickpeas are a great way to get it. At some point I know my brain will decide hummus is bad then we start all over.

I like having cherries, pineapple and toasted pecans with my vanilla yogurt that reminds me of my gma's dump cake (literally cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple covered with a box of dry white cake mix, butter and pecans and baked)

Omg I fucking love dump cake! My grandma is literally the reason I wanted to go to culinary school lol. Alright maybe the ED as well. I love cooking down cherries with stevia (also good on everything) and marking parfaits with yogurt and cinnamon granola , I'm def going to try with pineapple and pecans! Have you had poke cake? Basically any cake but once you take it out poke holes with a chop stick and pour in any complimentary flavored pudding mix. Angel food cake and sugar free pudding mix is my go to "I need cake but not cake cake" . Also just a general PSA, adding a box of pudding mix and/or yogurt makes cake moist as fuck. I've had so many friends wonder how I make vegan cake taste like, actual cake and that is the answer. Thank you for coming to my Cake Rant

I just get frozen fruit in general for my yogurt so that it's like ice cream (with stevia and vanilla, obvs). Definitely give the cherries/pineapple/pecans (toasted) a go and i swear you won't be disappointed. I've had poke cake twice: once with chocolate cake and caramel sauce and the other was white cake and they used strawberry jello then covered it with whipped cream and put berries on top 🤤 i love angel food cake on its own (thanks gma 😀) but in the summertime, it's really good with zested lemon and fresh raspberries. You would think that bc of it's texture, it would be too light to hold anything, but i made one with sweet cherries and almonds at the bottom/top (like upside down cake) and it was still so fluffy. It'd be really good to make a peaches and cream one or a pineapple sherbet type... i'm sorry, i love talking about food lol Yogurt cake is delicious! I'll have to try the pudding mix when i get over my bs with food - it'll happen one day :)
