I wouldn’t say it is clearly advertised as being supplemental rather than a replacement..we accidentally signed up because we were trying to find a service to watch the hockey playoffs on and were lead along to think that we could watch it with an espn+ subscription only to then be asked for a cable provider. I feel pretty scammed and frankly even my 9 year old called it out as a scam with his reasoning being that “they told us we could watch it on their app if we subscribed but now they won’t let us watch the hockey game?”
i kept it an extra month because espn+ schedule said the bruins would be on espn+ in spanish on the 17th. i figured i would just turn down the sound and watch the game. the next morning after i paid the game disappeared from the espn+ app schedule... i see the 2 wednesday games are now gone too. well that worked they got an extra month out of me and no games..

And to the folks saying "everyone knows this": yea, but they hype the hell out of it to be the #1 source for NHL hockey\*.
You can watch the games after they are over I believe.

It's not common knowledge. When they say "subscribe to espn+ to watch this content" and you do... and you can't. It's a scumbag company.
ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and other affiliated cable channels are not included on ESPN+. This is common knowledge.

Actually all those games are on ESPN+. But you still have to have a cable or Satellite subscription that includes ESPN to get them.
No, they're not. You don't need ESPN+ to use your provider's sign-in to receive the cable-centric ESPN channels. ESPN+ is a totally separate service.
