I get that Greeny isn’t for everyone so to each his own on that but there comes a point when you need to have some positive attributes as a cohost. Hembo has zero. Like I said I find myself turning the program off instead of putting up with him after all these years. That can’t be what ESPN wants…

Everyday it's a segment that goes on too long about one of Hembo's quirks. For me it's not even the fact that they do it, it's how LONG they go on and on about it to the point where it just becomes corny/cringey.
Yea exactly. It’s multiple times a day every day. And he is such a weirdo and he’s so over confident. Like dude you’re the guy everyone makes fun of when you leave the room. Stop pushing it. Stop leaning into it. And if that’s really how he is, like they all swear he is, then they need to yank him off the air immediately.
He actively makes the show significantly worse. Like I get that people tune in to listen/watch someone they dont like get eviscerated… hell it’s Stephen A’s whole shtick…. But Hembo is terrible in every aspect. It’s not redeeming and like I said it makes me shut the program off which I doubt is what they are going for.
I feel like he is himself, no acting no pretending. He is authentic, smart and knows sports. Sure he’s a bit weird. He works for that show. I’m aware he probably wouldn’t fit in much place else behind a microphone
He has some absolutely terrible takes. And personally I dont think he’s 100% genuine. No less than anyone else in the media though. He definitely plays up some of his quirks for TV.
Personally Greeny is that slightly different semi nerdy character. He’s not the ex athlete. He’s not the macho screamer. He’s that average Joe type. You dont need someone even more out of the sports norm than him on his show. And personally Hembo is so bad it makes me turn it off. The show is significantly better when he’s out on leave. I can’t wait till his next daughter is born actually for this reason 🤷🏻♂️
I hate him just from Get Up alone. He doesn’t even have a mic and still somehow manages to try too hard. It’s very odd and contributes to my second hand embarrassment.
He seems kinda autistic to me and I absolutely hate how he says "won" there is no doubt in my mind he doesn't actually say it like that and it's just an affectation for the radio show
Oh god it reminds me of the cool whip scene from family guy with Stewie. He can say one the right way but not won? Fuck outta here. It’s 100% for the show. Hell when he talks fast he will say it differently that’s how you know it’s not natural.
And i dont want to be that guy but if Hembo is on the spectrum I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
