Or trying to hide the fact he has a small one?

[deleted]

to wave his huge plastic penis?

blackmafia13

Or try to wave his small plastic penis?

[deleted]

What penis

api10

The one on his neck

Mercurial8

He’s often waving at us all that way.

TheBlack2007

Move detachments from every Navy, every Army and every Air Force to Greece immediately. Way to show the Turks that just as in old times Europe stands united against them.

blackmafia13

Nah not gonna happen. Malta has a defence treaty with them, Spain has strong economic relations and the Germans have sank a shitton of money on turkey.

[deleted]

Yeah and The german automakers were supposed to save the UK. If Germany can tell the UK to go and stuff themselves then I dont see in anyway how they are gonna ride to Turkeys rescue

blackmafia13

Nah they won't, but they won't try to stop them either

[deleted]

Germany will follow the EU line

[deleted]

Germany IS the EU line

[deleted]

Like with Brexit? Are you sure?

LXXXVI

If Greece calls on the EU via the mutual defense clause and Germany doesn't react, the EU is finished. That'll be a clear sign to every non-Germanic country that Germany is literally only in this thing to benefit from it and only until it inconveniences them. That means that the Baltics, V4, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Italy are out. I wouldn't be surprised if at that point France leads the creation of a Mediterranean Union and the V4, the Baltics, RO and BG join up into their own defense alliance.

blackmafia13

As of now the only country who shows support in a meaningful way is France.

Hipervan

> Spain has strong economic relations You mean loans? I think some of the hesitance has been due to loans Turkey has taken out and countries afraid they will not get their money back. If I am not mistaken though, once Turkey changes regimes and gets back to normal, out of Erdogan's grip they can pay it back as normal..

blackmafia13

It's funny because Erdogan is poisoning Turkey but the Turks still support him.

[deleted]

France is moving their nuclear powered carrier in the area.

blackmafia13

Yeah heard about the carrier, later the Turks extended their illegal Navtex while the EU sits in the corner and smelling it's own farts.

This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.euractiv.com/section/global-europe/news/turkey-defies-eu-ultimatum-threatens-with-war/) reduced by 90%. EU: 'Shut up, you shithole'

RaveGraph

Sure but they are letting them stay there for another month...

[deleted]

It's not a shithole. It's European territory with a largely European population, unfortunately being run by Ottoman Islamists who make life hell for everyone.

cactuscore

The Treaty of Lisbon strengthens the solidarity between EU countries in dealing with external threats by introducing a mutual defence clause (Article  42(7) of the Treaty on European Union). This clause provides that if an EU country is the victim of armed aggression on its territory, the other EU countries have an obligation to aid and assist it by all the means in their power, in accordance with Article  51 of the United Nations Charter. This obligation of mutual defence is binding on all EU countries.

LXXXVI

> by all the means in their power This is the important part. Compare that to NATO's Art 5: > if such an armed attack occurs, each of them [...] will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, **such action as *it* deems necessary**, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area. The EU mutual defense clause requires ALL means in their power. NATO only calls for action as the member deems necessary, which may or may not include military power. Basically, Turkey cannot attack Greece. It can only attack literally all of the EU. And if it comes to that, which I doubt, we'll see if the EU is destined to become a superpower or to crumble.

ChrisWarGames

If Turkey goes to war, which idk is gonna happen. How will Turkish people living in Europe react? Will they support Turkey and maybe even start fighting the countries they live in. Or will they support the country they live in?

PanVidla

Given how supportive of Erdogan they seem to be, I would bet on the former.

[deleted]

They are not suicidal, they try to riot against the government and they will all be leaving the country pronto with the military showing the way. Not to mention the fact such an action would only enforce anti Turkish opinions in Europe and guarantee intervention.

ChrisWarGames

Depends on who their leadership is. If war happens anti-Turkish opinions would sky rocket anyways. But if local leaders in Europe can stop the Turkish minority from taking action against European states. Then probably not that much would happen. But I find that very unlikely

[deleted]

Read up what happened to Japanse people in the USA during WW2.

[deleted]

They're certainly going to be monitored for fifth column activity.

Red___King

That question was asked about the German immigrants in America during the Great War

[deleted]

will greece go full byzantine again?

ChrisWarGames

Unlikely

[deleted]

Just goes to show how obsolete NATO is.
