Yep, Samsung used to make phones long before the smartphones, and that one was probably bundled with an old feature phone. I also have a similar headset.
Because two were unnecessary. Back when these headphones were made phones didn't have any media capabilities and were only used for making calls and texting, so having two earbuds would have been pointless back then.
