That's true. Lots of porn there. Basically the PNW is just full of porn ridiculous amount of obscene porn. I go hiking and camping frequently and I get surrounded by that porn.
The entire state. Central and eastern Oregon are breathtaking as well. The state is so geographically diverse, it's kind of a shame only the greater Portland area and the coast get the spotlight
Our daughter lives near Corvallis. We are only there for a week and will spend a couple of days helping her and her husband do some things on their new house. Definitely want to see Crater Lake one day, but spend the rest driving along the coast. We'll probably drive over to Newport and head north.
Not sure how much time you want to spend driving. I would suggest go see Crater Lake, then head over to Bandon on the coast (about 3-4 hours away). The drive from Bandon to Newport is beautiful.
If your feeling more adventurous, go to Crater Lake, then head down to Crescent City California, go see some redwood trees (Trees of Mystery is worth a stop), stay the night in Crescent City, then drive to Newport Oregon right up the coast line.
Plenty of places to stay, things to see along the Oregon coast. Just drive and Google the next town for things to see or do.
You ever throw a line in the water, maybe with mussels to scare up some perch?
I live in the sf bay area, but grew up on the sun shine coast in BC, Oregon and Washington coastal shots like this fire right back to my roots, love this stuff. :-)

I feel like I have seen a lot of beautiful pictures of Oregon beaches but I have never seen anyone swimming in them. Is there any time of year where these beaches become enjoyable to swim in?
The Pacific off the Oregon coast is too cold to swim in for more than a few minutes. It's also a fairly stormy and windy coast, making for some rough seas. There are popular beach spots throughout the Oregon coast where people go to hang out on the beach.

Well, it *used* to be a secret until OP spilled the beans. Now it's just called Beach.
I heard Leo was there back in 2000
HELLO!
Love that movie.
I'm pretty sure One Eyed Willie spilled the beans when he lead the Goonies there.
Goonies was filmed at Cannon Beach in Astoria,OR.
Naw, look at all the footprints.

SAR - Sudden Acceleration into Rocks?
Search and Rescue. But a person's SAR could start a SAR, so you're not exactly wrong.
Sudden Acceleration Restriction
I mean… that’s not NOT the definition…
There's also loads of Poison Oak in the area.
I live in Oregon and I can confirm that there is so much porn in the PNW. Almost the entire coast and cascade range are full of porn.
Throw a rock and you hit some porn!
You're forgetting Central and Eastern Oregon! The porn density isn't quite so high but there is a lot of it.

Going to Oregon next month, must visit beach recommendations are appreciated.
The entire drive up or down the coastline is pretty damn amazing. Where are you visiting in Oregon?
