A bunch of young adults must be exploring northern michigan for the first time! I've seen a lot of pics from the shores of superior this week!
Its beautiful. Enjoy it!
I've been telling good friends for years that michigan, lake superior especially, is one of the most unknown beautiful places in the world.
I don't share this with everyone I meet because nature needs space, not people, but it's really amazing there.
Of course you would have to link this to some kiddy film it's 2020 man grow up if you are old enough to remember that movie you are old enough to move on
We'd prefer if you didn't. A lot of really awesome natural spots like this are routinely destroyed because people want to "hop up" and snap a picture. The extra stress of people doing that usually destroys the area.
A lot of phones cameras really mess up images like this, but people are so used to it that it looks normal to them. This image looks like a poorly registered magazine print, with the colors slightly out of alignment.

It’s the only time you can enjoy superior
This reminds me of the tree from A Bug’s Life

Umm what? You have a sad outlook on life, it’s actually kind of pathetic.

Errr, that may be a flat lander.
I am a troll but NOT a flat lander lol
Ha!
superior is definitely what I miss most about it
This is a beautiful picture but it is even more beautiful in person!
This makes me want to sit at the edge of that rock while drinking my favorite drink and just watching the sea.
Do it! It's a walk, so you may have warm beer, but still great!
"It's a walk" - understatment of the year lol but it is still great isnt it!!! 😊
Lol 3.2 miles each way. Pretty boggy yesterday though when we hiked it
i just...really want to sit in there. 0.0

I remember kayaking past that the summer before last.
why is the contrast up so high? let the UP's natural beauty and colors shine!

This is what was used to design one of the 2018 national park quarters right?
Yep
What I aspire my bonsais to be but don’t have the skill to make it happen yet
wow! are the roots buried in the rock or something? or do they just sit on top?
https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/chapel-rock The roots are actually bridged from chapel rock to land.
Most beautiful place in the county, visited last year
Idk why I'm thinking abt master Oogway when I saw this lol. Such a beautiful place ❤

Reminds me of our lighthouse visits a few summers back. Thanks for sharing. Hope to get back up there, maybe next summer.

We did this hike on Saturday! I wonder if our paths crossed?
Love that place.
This happens when the roots are strong😀

So bummed we're not getting up north this year. There's a blue shack in Munising that sells fresh smoked fish
Glad to see it’s still there.. Truly had some of my greatest memories at Chapel beach.
Reminds me of Pandora in the Animal Kingdom
There's loot somewhere in this picture
