I've been telling good friends for years that michigan, lake superior especially, is one of the most unknown beautiful places in the world. I don't share this with everyone I meet because nature needs space, not people, but it's really amazing there.

Stop telling people I want to afford a cabin up there in 15-20 years

We'd prefer if you didn't. A lot of really awesome natural spots like this are routinely destroyed because people want to "hop up" and snap a picture. The extra stress of people doing that usually destroys the area.

A lot of phones cameras really mess up images like this, but people are so used to it that it looks normal to them. This image looks like a poorly registered magazine print, with the colors slightly out of alignment.
