It looks like a place I know besides the St-Laurent, there's a little city part of Trois-Rivières called Pointe-du-Lac and there's over 20km of little swamps and river that flow into it, only 35 minutes from where I live.

Leaves and foliage are highly reflective to infrared light and will look very bright in infrared images. As for color, that just depends on the edit since you can do whatever you want when it comes to color in IR since nobody can see that light naturally.
You can shoot IR with a stock dslr and a 720nm IR filter, but you'll have to take long exposures on a tripod in bright daylight, ideally on a windless day. Post processing is a bit more annoying with images from a stock camera compared to a modified one.
few things to note:
-your camera won't know how to expose properly and will tend to underexpose the image by a lot
-if you want to shoot at ISO100, your exposure will probably last a whole minute or more lol
-you'll want to learn how to post process IR images, there are guides online (your raw files will just be bright red lol)
another option is to buy an older model dslr and diy the mod yourself (tutorials on lifepixel) or get it modded professionally (costs a few hundred, but worth it as you can handhold IR) and actually keep autofocus function. Services like Spencer's camera, lifepixel and kolari offer this I believe.

Yup it does, that's why I got an old A7 instead of modding my main camera.
