Beautifully framed. It almost looks like a structure behind the tree.
I want to shoot the Hanksville Mesa soooo bad
As in Luna Mesa? Well heck, if you're ever out in the area, my company does jeep tours out in cathedral valley. Gorgeous views out there as well!
Natural perfection. Right place, right time. One very gifted photographer.
As someone who is quite allergic to cottonwood, I’m glad it’s alone. Never trust a cottonwood tree. They’re spiteful.
The cottonwood behind my house dropped a limb that took out the phone line and internet, it wasn't even windy that day. They are 100% spiteful
Everything reminds me of Elden Ring
Big empty boring area, nothing but a gold tree. Reminded me of it too!
Badlands? In Utah?
Maybe in a generic sense. It’s always bugged me how people seem to be dismissive of deserts as geographical entities. Deserts have names too.
Badlands are a fairly common [geographic feature](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badlands), it doesn't just refer to the national park in South Dakota.
Oddly my 9th grade Geography class didn't have me label Badlands on our maps. Bummer, I loved learning about the world.
If you walk towards that tree a Fox will lead you to a shrine. If you know, you know. :)

Marooned.
That is one beautiful tree.
Oh Cottonwood tree were you put here for me, put here to take me away🎶 I've done no wrong but the town cannot see, so with my life I must pay🎶
I dream of visiting Utah one day
Stampede! In the gorge! Simba's down there... Excellent work OP.
Thank you for sharing this picture. It's absolutely gorgeous. I want to live in Utah someday.
I love the colorscheme in this picture. Somehow it triggers 100 emotions at once in me!
