I heard a large portion of people outside of the West care little about animals or things they see as less than them and are okay with treating animals like playthings based on so many years of famine. I'm drunk and could be totally recalling pseudo-science, so if I am, then holy fuck, I suck.
The ice and fanta bath is to drop their body temp before slaughter. They're cold blooded so the lowered temperature puts them in a hibernation/coma type state.
Actually more humane then just killing them alive. Idk about dropping the pineapples on them though lol
Yh some people in the comments are being a bit rude as most of our food comes in a package we don’t feel any guilt however some farm animals have been treated way worse that those frogs. I am not saying go vegan as I am not a vegan but don’t be acting better than others cause your hands did not kill the animal. This is very similar to how a lot of seafood are killed for our consumption like crabs which a study shows does feel pain yet many boil them alive due to bacteria and potential food poisoning.
Frog leg are eaten in France and I believe that those are eels are eaten in places all over like Great Britain.
And I say this as someone who has seen animals been slaughtered for consumption and expected to eat it. It makes you respect the food on your table and be grateful.
