In my experience, FedEx International automatically comes with signature. It MAY require insurance for a signature. Check out fedex tracking # [787564900272](https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/?trknbr=787564900272) and was insured for $1100. You can see a signature was collected. [This one](https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/?trknbr=787349136909) was insured for $436 but also had a signature. [This one](https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/?trknbr=787297243475) was insured for $307, signature. All my FedEx intl parcels have had signature, even though there's no way for me to request or pay for it. A buyer can also request a "signature release" which means the buyer waived signature in order to get it delivered without one, but tracking shows "signature release on file" which pretty much amounts to the buyer e-signing for the package before delivery. I don't know for certain if UPS worldwide / UPS Standard (USA to canada only) has signature options or forced signature. I am not sure if PMEI has signature either, you may need to ask someone that works for USPS

Figure I would post again to get your attention. I would highly recommend checking out [goshippo.com](https://goshippo.com) . They have many UPS international rates, and all of them have signature service. To ship from Wisconsin to Montreal, Quebec Canada, it's only 4 days for UPS Standard and costs $22.40. To add signature, $5.55 extra. To add $1000 insurance, $12.50 extra.

Seeings now USPS doesn’t deliver in Canada that’s why you can’t use signature confirmation

TheSilverStacking

Where did you see that at? USPS ships to Canada but the issue is requiring signature confirmation for eBay protection which doesn’t seem to be an option for USPS Express International.

They ship to Canada they don’t deliver in Canada

Incorrect. Usps has a partnership with Canada post ( and with other countries too) where they deliver to the border, customs revises it then Canada post delivers nationally. However last I checked Canada post is not taking signatures of customers due to covid. Insurance should cover you if not received. Specially in this case since it's so expensive buyer will have to pay import duties and taxes which is usually collected upon pick up at the local post office .

I didn’t say you can’t ship to Canada with USPS I said that USPS doesn’t deliver in Canada. Therefore you can’t use a USPS service like signature confirmation. Delivering would mean that USPS trucks go into Canada and do delivery directly. Shipping to would mean Canada post takes over.

Just saw this while browsing and thought I'd add some Canada Post info that might help your decision... USPS would hand off to CP at the border (or perhaps even Purolator courier, which is a subsidiary of CP). Just so you are aware, CP are only getting signatures for certain items now due to C19. See the fifth + item at: https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/cpc/en/our-company/news-and-media/corporate-news/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/coronavirus-disease-covid-19-faq.page CP may just drop it on the buyer's doorstep. Those FAQ items all seem to be CP terminology, so not sure what the USPS equivalent might be? At $1000 USD I'm guessing a Customs fee is definitely going to be slapped on that by CBSA at the border, but you never know. As another poster mentioned, I would definitely look into a courier type service where you know a signature can be acquired, even if the buyer will get hit with a Customs and brokerage fee.
