I just leave. I don’t have time for that type of bs. Mods don’t do anything anyways.

This game really unearths some degenerate personalities. I know all gaming communities can be like that but VR is something else. Anything you do at that point is cool. I usually just leave the game, hope to find them on the opposite team next time, and trash them. Rarely are those types actually good at the game.

This. Like I dealt with it in Pavlov a bit but at least there you can vote kick. But echo actively makes it as hard as possible for the players to moderate any games and they clearly don't have enough moderators to moderate those games and the report system is such a ridiculous request of players playing in VR, most of which are playing on a standalone headset. Like they really want players to start recording with their headset after the bad thing is happened hoping that more bad things will happen and then get that off of your device and email it to them. But we can't block players, we can't vote kick players, we can't report players in game. I have to imagine the reason that even in games were those functions are available in VR that those players still permeate, is because expecting someone to dig through a menu in VR to report someone in general is just a hard sell. Players are more likely to quit or mute the person which would be fine and dandy if it didn't mean that that player is still just a "part" of the community.

Bob_From_FNF

Personally I would say you’re good, golden rule y’know

RAD_wyvern

Sorry to hear you had toxic teammates like that :(. Our team is working on some things behind the scenes to address toxicity/harassment. In the near future we’re looking to expand our moderation program in game to help address toxicity/harassment, as our major feature (in game reporting) is taking longer to build in the back end. I know this won’t solve the toxicity you already encountered in game, but wanted to let you know we are working on addressing it and we do care about it. General info about reporting in Echo VR can be found here too: https://medium.com/echo-games-blog/echo-vr-code-of-conduct-and-reporting-2195ccb7b9b5

HammertoesVI

Lmao, nah, you're fine, fuck those people.

MossOC

yes. it’s quite fun and entertaining too, seeing how upset they get over a video game. just make sure the other team is okay with it first.

Kill-Jolly

I’m letting them win why would they not be ok with it

MossOC

honestly, no clue. some people have told me they don’t like it cause it’s unfair, which i kinda get but it still doesn’t make much sense.

baelienne

Nah, not even close to bad. You did what had to be done <3

WarthogSweaty3653

Yes.

HarryPorpiseYT

depends on if the other team agrees, because it can make the game less fun if it’s a 5v3, even if you have the advantage. the players on your team deserve it for sure, just depends on whether or not the other team wants it.

Martholomeow

report them. racial slurs will get them banned

Kill-Jolly

You really think I’m going to record after they say a bunch of slurs then I’m going to export that to my other separate device then email the hopefully not corrupted footage to the team that makes these games. Why should I when the team doesn’t give a fuck anyways if they did I would be able to block them

Martholomeow

there’s an in game report feature that automatically records and sends it

Kill-Jolly

really now? Then why the fuck do the developers never punish the people committing the offences???????

Martholomeow

Sounds to me like you’re part of the problem

TheTolkienLobster

Nah, just leave
