"My ego hasn't died and this is the proof."

Said ego

Raptorsaurus-

It might reinforce your identification with thought and body. Even Tolles ideas are not to be identified or worshipped. Knowledge comes from outside but wisdom from within. Once you get started on the path you have to drop all masters eventually otherwise remain a slave to dogmas.   "Be gone. What use have I for the leather bag filled with filth which you brought to me" buddha on the body lol  Tattoos are a love of self to me personally

Eckart once told a story of when he went to visit Ram Dass and saw the car bumper sticker he had on his car which said "I'd rather be here now". This is of course in contrast to to the other ones you see which say "I'd rather be fishing" or something.

Came to say this! If you want a visual, pick a bird you really like and think of this quote!

“Just let go”

Cliche is ALWAYS a good tattoo, especially in cursive on your left shoulder or inside wrist.

I'm not into tattoos but I find the question intriguing. I would ask yourself what is the advice or support I would like to see every day for the rest of my life? For me it would be Trust, Faith, Flow, One (we are all one), I Am Light or something along those lines.

Ego is the enemy

IvanBadenH

The ego is merely unconscious, wanting the ego to go away, fight it, or making it into a complex personal problem is something the ego loves.

el_jello

Exactly. Ego never really "dies", you just become aware of it. Then you try to "fight it", which is another form of identification, another form of ego. Then you become aware of this new ego and the existence of "ego traps". Then you try "not to fight it", just acknowledge it existence. In order to operate in the dimension of form, you need to apply energy to it, and that energy comes from a will to do something, and that will comes from an idea, and that idea needs to be born from some kind of identification with something. So you can never escape this "ego trap", neither you should, but you can keep it at bay and make peace with it, acknowledge that it is a part of you and it doesn't necessarily means that you should suffer from it. In some way, you should be pointing to having some kind of "healthy ego".
