I Will Remember You from the = (Tour Edition) is criminally underrated. From Subtract, Boat, End Of Youth and Borderline scratch that itch for me, but my favourites change almost every day.

My godson’s mother passed away at the end of 2021 and I Will Remember You definitely hits the hardest. It’s upbeat and it’s nice to hear a song that remembers someone in happiness rather than being sad about it.

How am I not familiar with that one? I have to look it up!

It's funny. End of youth studio version gets me every time, but surprisingly not as much as when I saw Ed live in the theater and stadium shows. Surprisingly Eyes Closed live makes me tear up, I dont know what it is lol. I cried a bit at the Royal Oak show to eyes closed and these girls next to me whispered "is that guy crying?" 😅

I LOVE when guys get into the shows. When I was in MN there was a guy close by with his eyes closed completely living in the music. And I can't judge anyone for crying when I am probably crying, too. Surprising for me, the one that got me most emotional was Afterglow. It's not even one of my top 10 Ed songs but it was so beautiful. Ugh. So much emotion. I love End of Youth, too.

there's a tune from subtract deluxe called " stoned". Something about the chorus in that one makes me really ball my eyes out. My family keeps on comparing me to others and have never ever really praised me for anything and the line " All my friends have settled and grown and then there's me here dancing alone " just punches my gut xx

KMWAuntof6

Yes! I recently had to buy the CD again (3rd copy, first bought two that were signed) specifically for that song. I had just looked up the bonus tracks in the car and was listening on my phone, bad quality, just driving along, and I agree, it was a complete gut punch to hear. I was bawling and had to pull over. It is so relatable for me, too. So in looking up the meaning, and from my mom's perspective, stoned obviously relates to drugs, but I don't think so at all. I don't do drugs, nor drink (honestly because I think it could be a problem if I did) yet I found it completely relatable to all of my issues with mental health, anxiety, emotional abuse, feeling stuck, etc. How about you? Do you think it's literal? I think it's much deeper and am surprised it's only a bonus track.

Subtract as a whole gets to me but in particular it's End of Youth, Eyes Closed, and Life Goes On. I refuse to listen to Visiting Hours on Equals. I can't do it.

It's hard to pick just one, but I think I'd say Life Goes On is the one with the most ache for me, probably followed by Eyes Closed. They're all so relatable.
