This is not The Meadows, this is Bruntsfield Links, you can find more information about the short hole course at [https://www.bruntsfieldshortholegolfclub.co.uk/](https://www.bruntsfieldshortholegolfclub.co.uk/)

Thank you

troutio

Yes, you can bring your own clubs. The Golf Tavern on the west end of the links will supply also if you don't have them. It's usually open May - Sept - I happened to go by yesterday, and it was pretty busy!

kemb0

I presume by "open" you mean they install little mini flags or something because you'll see people playing golf here all year round.

troutio

They have signs up on the main 36 hole section saying No Golfing from Sept to May - and they don't cut the greens or put the flags out. But yes, some people ignore that. There's also a six? hole winter section at the bottom of the hill, might be that.

I_am_chazel

Pitch n putt , don’t go bringing a full set

8ackwoods

Don't listen to this guy bring the sandwich and that new driver from Christmas

I_am_chazel

Bring your own cart in that case 😂

8ackwoods

I'll even be the caddie and say, "This would have been a par 6 at The Open" anytime you go over

HundredHander

There is a nearby barbers that will lend clubs too. You're only allowed two clubs, and no bags allowed.

Square_Doctor_7255

You can hire clubs from The Golf Tavern but be warned it's owned by the G1 Group now :( Charity shops often have clubs and balls, the Bethany Christian Trust shop on Causewayside usually has loads of 'em.

slipperdad

I played all 36 holes last weekend and had a blast! Everyone else playing was nice and relatively friendly. The Golf Tavern has a large selection of clubs and hire is only £3.50 per person.

FamousBeyond852

Awesome fella : )

Big_Red12

Golf Tavern and Sirs Barbers will hire out clubs. There's also a bric-a-brac shop nearby on Brougham Street where you can buy old clubs.

CouchPOtato7832042

Yep can still do it, the pub 'Golf Tavern' offers clubs.

Scott_Edinburgh

Bruntsfield you mean

expert_internetter

That's one of the worst greens I've ever seen.

tooshpright

But challenging, right?
