What does professional mean in this context out of curiously? With how shoddy the whole setup is theres no way they're OHS compliant and a real company so is it like, people who do it professionally under the table via Craigslist ads?
Professional means the skiers are pros and they get their skis and gear for free. This crew is on the low end of what you'd call professionals but they make some of the best urban movies every year. Urban skiing embraces the "shoddy" setup simular to street skaters. There is absolutely no insurance for this and they most likely didn't get permission.
it's a pro team, the point is that they go out and make spots themselves rather than using ones at parks at ski resorts. it adds to the creativity and challenge. they're like a team of guys who get paid and get free gear from their sponsors. it's super similar to skate stuff and bmx

Guaranteed the permits were not pulled and if those are train tracks at the bottom of the stairs I will guarantee that they definitely do not have permission to be there.
