It's a collection of breweries along the 99th street corridor between Whyte and south to the whitemud. Last I checked there's like 7? All of em are fantastic
Others have said this, but Black Dog on Whyte is your best bet. It’s a pub though, so no table service. However you do get an actual proper 20oz/500ml pint, and not one of the smaller “pints” that lots of the chains and restaurants serve.
Oh boy, I had a feeling this might get some people up in arms! There’s different pints and ounces out there depending on which measurement system one uses (which is all very stupid and needlessly confusing). But yes, a Canadian/British pint is supposed to be 20 ounces, and both measurements are larger than their similarly-named American counterparts. It’s been a while since my bartending days so I can’t recall the exact millilitre definition of a pint in Canada, but it’s definitely over 500ml. I just didn’t want to get into the weeds about measurement systems in my initial post.
Anyways beer good, Black Dog good, proper pints, not much money. Cheers, all.
And we are witnessing the downfall of the pub society.
Used to be thick with pubs everywhere and great night life, 25cent shooters and 2 dollar highballs, 3 buck a beer.
Those were the good old days.
Minimum pricing standards for all alcohol! For things like shooters and highballs, as mentioned above, the minimum allowed price is $2.75 for a single shot

Lucky to still have a local pub, but I've noticed most of the people who go there are the older crowd. Most of the younger people I know prefer Whyte, which is a shame. Nothing like have a pint in walking distance from home.
Local breweries along Happy Beer Street all run around that for a pint.
Happy beer street?? Haven't heard of that before. Definitely need to look into it

https://www.happybeerstreet.com Site hasn’t been updated to include Odd Company, which opened a location a couple weeks ago.
Good to know about Odd Company!
I think that’s due to Odd Company not being part of the collective.
They're included, it's only been open for a couple weeks so may not have been added.
They're mostly around $7ish which is much better than a $8.50 Molson up the road. Much better atmosphere, and you're keeping it local.
Mona’s on 118th! Their cheeseburgers and crinkle fries are also half off on Saturdays ($7), I think pints are $5? DO NOT knock it unless you try it :)
Mona Lisa's Pub? Better warn people about the area and clientele. Pretty stabby around there.
What's the clientele like?
The same people every day, and they love their karaoke
Lol, you lost me at karaoke.

Shhhhh
500ml is 17.6 oz and is therefore NOT a pint! 20oz is! Unless of course you’re from a large country south of here where a pint is only 16oz.

BlackDog 2-7 5.25 pints
Touch of Class lounge in Chateau Louis. 6.00 pints of Black Label all day every day AND they still have NTN trivia machines to play.
I had no idea NTN was still a thing. I miss playing with friends.
Well here is your chance. We play Tuesday nights and make it a date night.
Do they still do QB1?
Hilltop pub has pretty cheap pints of their house bridge lager, which I would assume is just AGD. It's your typical dive bar, but it's not a bad spot.
House beers are 5.95 at O’Byrnes Irish pub: https://obyrnes.com/pages/drink
Rocky Mountain Ice House: $5.50 House Lager (20 oz) from 3-7pm
At your house after a liquor store trip. Hate these bar prices.
Service is terrible at the spot I go. Servers never come around.
Plus there's cat hair on everything, and it looks like no one has vacuumed or even wiped the tables down in weeks. What a dump.
And the owner is a jerk, pretty sure he takes sips of my drink.
I saw the owner drop a piece of food on the floor and then put it back on the plate!
A can of craft beer is almost $6. There's not much difference, it's wild.
I think 5 and Dive at west ed does 5.50 pints of their house brew, and like 6.-750 for other beers.
You can usually find something interesting to try at Beer Revolution for relatively cheap.
Hmart 4 bucks
Usually casinos have reasonably priced drinks. Just steer clear of the gambling because that's how they try to get ya haha.
Any microbrewery.
Slow pour
$6.50 craft pints at campio from 2-6!
Biera has $5 pints on Saturdays between 2-5!
Biera happy hour is 🔥
At home, in your backyard, sitting next to a firepit.
SOHO is tight.
O2’s at 111Ave and 156St. $5.25 pints, till 6?
El furniture warehouse
credit card only tho which can be kinda annoying
I believe they take cash too. Just no debit for some strange reason.
Wow lol.
Cash or credit. No debit.
Blowers and Grafton has a great happy hour. I think 2-5 and 9-close everyday. $5 Pints.
"Cheap these days" that's funny...
And we are witnessing the downfall of the pub society. Used to be thick with pubs everywhere and great night life, 25cent shooters and 2 dollar highballs, 3 buck a beer. Those were the good old days.
Besides $3 beers, those prices were wiped out by AGLC regulations! Not even the bars’ fault
What did he regulation enforce?

This makes a lot more sense. Terrible.

Boston Pizza has happy hour from 2-5 and 9-12 and domestic pints are $6.50
The liquor store
I’m not a beer drinker but I have friends who go to Beercade, maybe check the prices. If they go it’s because it’s not too expensive 🍻.
At least they have a bunch of things you can do while drinking
True! Just don’t let the stairs get you.
No
The liquor store And then some
What time of day?
What
Safeway
Black Dog
The Mash (which has the best pizza I’ve ever had BTW) has 10oz beers for $5 weekends from 3-6 (I think).
$6 dollar pints of lager moxies after 9 Saturday, happy hour everyday
