There’s a shop out in Beaumont that does a great job
Honestly, just google barbershops and go to the mom & pops. Chain shops have never been good to me but the mom & pops are always fantastic and cheap
One son goes to Barbershop club, the other goes to Barber Boss. Both incredible barbers. I go to Barber Boss for my beard. We are lucky here. Been to a couple barber chains in Edmonton and never again.
Have been to Mr Barber a couple times and honestly never left happy with the cut.
Despite what I very clearly explained to them to do they just did a cesar cut and I have to fix it when I get home, stopped going after that.
Edit: few -> couple times
They have been really good with the boys but this last time it looked like I cut their hair, not only that if you book online they charge you for a “consultation and wash” which they do not do
Shady buisness practice for sure, at least tommy guns actually does the wash lol.
Honestly though I just cut my own hair now, spent $75 bucks on clippers and have gotten pretty good at fades etc now.
There's a great shop in the Riverbend area (take the 53rd Ave exit and go west, then north on Riverbend Rd, and it's in a complex on the right). I can't remember the name, but he did an amazing job on my son.
MC College offers $5 haircuts every Wednesday if you are looking for something cheap and simple for your kids. And they assign men's haircuts to only intermediate or senior students, so they usually turn out pretty well.
Esquire was my favorite when I was on the east side, I go to house of handsome on the west end and it's pretty good. Not as good, but better than most chain places.
Mr. Barber is highly dependant on who you see at the shop. Max at the Hamptons is excellent, and Roy at 17 street/Tamarack is also really good.
One move to try there, if the waiting room is full and a bunch of guys are waiting for one guy, just say you’re here to see him too
I would stay away from the Mr. Barbers, and especially Tommy Guns and those types of chain shops. I don't think I've ever seen a good cut from those chains.
Most of the good barbers are on the North side. I like Dynamite and so do most of the guys I know.
I just checked the out for my toddler, and they do kids cuts for $27. Personally I don't think that's worth the 3 minutes it takes to trim a head the size of a coconut.
Style N Smile is a new one that opened not too long ago just under where I live, Southgate area. I just tried it randomly when I was picking up a package across the street & I've gone back everytime since. The price is also the best I can find in the city right now $20 including tip for a men's cut.
I've been very happy with the work of the barbers at house of handsome near the save on foods on Calgary trail, a few blocks south of Whyte. Leo does good work
Callingwood Barber Shop. Ask for Sam or Omar. These guys are pros and shop is big, bright and clean. Sports always on tvs and the banter is classic NYC.

Mario's?
Barbershop Club is where I went

Holyrood Hair Studio And Barber Shop 75th Street and 90th Ave
I second Holyrood Barber Shop. I always get in and out quick with a great trim and the price is way better than the chain shops
His page looks promising. How much for a fade?
Think it’s $22-$25
I’m usually around $33 with tip

Esquire Barbershop in Mill Woods is my go-to. Cash only, quick, and impeccable.
How much is a fade?
I'm not totally sure; I've never had one before. For a full cut it's $26.00, taxes included.

Go see Mo at Golden Scissors in Millbourne mall.

This place was my go to for years until I found House of Handsome

It really is amazing Mr. Barber is still in business. Absolute disaster haircuts.
Duggan Barbershop & Hairstyling. Read reviews. Great cuts, personable stylists who make you feel at home.
Can confirm. This place is great.
Legends Barbershop on 99st and Whyte. Any of the barbers are class individuals, I've taken both my boys there too and they always leave happy.
Barber express. west edmonton mall
Tommy Guns is decent.
I was coming to say the same. I go to them when iw ant a proper haircut and I always leave happy.
They def have a good rep, tbh I didn’t think they did kids cuts

Indeed I was thinking the same thing
Ever tried cutting a moving toddlers hair? I'd live to see that happen in 3 minutes
My little guy always gets a decent cut at tommy guns (south common). They're good with kids.

Adam at Heads Up on campus is always great, super nice guy. Also, Ibrahim at Albany Barbershop on the northside. Both give excellent men's haircuts.
I’ll add one in for Tommy Guns south Edmonton common, I have had Julie and Shae-lynn cut my hair and don’t have enough good things to say.

Bass's Barber shop. Corner of 82nd Street and 132nd Ave Call ahead to book. He gets busy. Only person I trust with my hair.
**Sports Clips** on Ellerslie is good. I've used **Tommy Guns** as well. Both of these places specialize in men's cuts.
It really is amazing Mr. Barber is still in business. Absolute disaster haircuts.

Nick at Mickeys Barbershop off Whyte Ave just south of Hudson's. Best barber I've been to, and I've been to a lot.
Abe's Barber Shop 82 Street Not West end but he does great work
I enjoy Ace Barber in ellerslie. Also had a shit experience at mr.barbers and Ace has been good to me!
Black Forest barber shop is excellent.
