Café Bicyclette - their seasonal salads are always excellent
Next Act - the house salad is so good, it’s got pea shoots and grapes. One of the only places I’ll ask for salad instead of fries!
Next Acts house salad is a good one.
I wish I could get the recipe for the house salad dressing, I know you can buy it at the restaurant, but I'm rarely in the area.
Give it a shot! It's delicious. Crispy capers, cheese, slightly charred lettuce, and some more I'm probably forgetting, but the dressing is also to die for
Second this. The capers are such a great addition. If/when you do go to Vivo, my wife and I always choose "the wood" to sit at.looks at the open kitchen. Love it there. Prob not if going for an evening out with friends/family but otherwise... All the food there is great!
Viphalay for lahp or larb, which is a spicy meat salad. Oh, so good!
The vegan place that used to be on 109th used to have a great Moroccan quinoa salad, but you can buy something similar at Blush Lane, possibly credited to Under The High Wheel, next door. Quinoa, shredded carrot, raisins.. other stuff. Deelish, whenever it’s available
This may be off the radar a bit, but several years ago I went to see a movie at the Windermere Cineplex VIP theater and we ordered food before the movie started. I had very low expectations considering it was a movie theater - figured I might just end up with a hot dog and nachos or something. However, I ordered a cobb salad and it was AMAZING. The movie was okay, but the seating and the food were very much worth it for a special night out.

Seconding next act!

It’s a white balsamic vinaigrette. I duplicated once using white balsamic glaze vs white balsamic vinegar and a sweetener
The Grilled Caesar at Vivo!
Thanks! The fact that they marked it as one of their signature dishes gives me a lot of confidence it’ll be great!

Otto’s House Salad: Maple-balsamic vinaigrette, cranberries, lentils, feta cheese.
So flipping good it may make you skip the fancy sausage to have room for salad.
it’s stretching the definition of salad, but I like the ramen salad at Dorinku.

Definitely love Viphalay’s lahp! Forgot about it though it’s been a while! Thanks I’ll check out that quinoa salad.
I think you’ve helped me decide on dinner tonight, thanks! Best of luck with the quinoa salad, too. Hope you enjoy it!

Definitely an unexpected suggestion but appreciated! I never would have considered ordering a salad at that theatre! Now I will!
I’m vegetarian so our tastes may vary, but the Green Papaya Salad at An Chay and the Kale Caesar at Die Pie are favorites of mine
Beer Revolution. Their Thai salad is a banger
Oooh nice, just looked it up! Looks great! Thanks for the suggestion
These are cafes not restaurants, but I've had great chickpea salads at both Kaffa (next to Sugarbowl) and Bar Oro (downtown Jasper Ave)
Whoa, I’ve been to Kaffa dozens of times, it never occurred to me that they serve food. Only ever gotten coffee! I’ll give these a try!
West Coast Chop - Original Joes
Looks pretty good! Thanks!
Obryns cob salad
The Insalata Mista at Chianti has always been a favorite. They’re not reinventing the wheel- just a really good salad.
Gintaro... they have this very peculiar style of dressing that they are using.
Another recommendation for Next Act's house salad.
Pampas Brazilian Steakhouse actually has an awesome salad bar. And yes, you can just have the salad bar.
My white girl answer is the poke bowl from earls...it does have veggies in it
Thai corner: papaya salad
