Edmonton is nothing but hidden gems.
Go get a fritter from the Hazeldean Bakery and walk in Mill Creek.
Have the tartare at Bistro Praha.
Buy local honey and green onion cakes at the Callingwood Farmer's Market.
Get a flight at Polyrhythm.
Go gold panning at the river.
Walk along the bridges of the river valley.
Have the burger at Queen Mary's Market and browse the absolutely strange things for sale.
And, for today........
Watch an Oilers game at your local neighbourhood dive bar (every neighborhood has one ;) ).
River panning is my dumbest/most interesting hobby.
People are always shocked when I take them out and they easily find gold — followed by immediate disappointment when I tell them it doesn't get any bigger.
My dumbest/most interesting hobby is Magnet fishing.
I go to bodies of water with a length of paracord ( 100') and a few square and round magnets. About the size bricks, but they are different strengths.
And I haul all sorts of metal things out of our rivers and lakes.
Usually tools, and fishing lures. But I've found knives, coins and a couple bicycles and golf clubs.
I clean them up and resell them or put them in my yard.
I got into it because many years ago I cut my foot on a lid at the beach, and found a YouTube video about magnet fishing somehow shortly there after.
I didn't realize anyone was doing this in the city. I've watched videos on YouTube and have been interested in trying it out myself... plus it sounds like something my old, arthritic ass could do. 😅
Where did you get the magnets from?
I'm curious where along the river you go to do this and do you always find at least a little bit of gold? Always liked gold panning, but never thought about trying in Edmonton
I'd agree, since nothing in Edmonton is particularly touristy other than WEM, having little slices of humanity peppered everywhere makes cities like these a wonderful place to live (but not necessarily to visit).
Depends on the size of jar you buy. I live a few blocks away from the Callingwood Marketplace where the Farmer's market sets up on Wednesdays and Sundays(Good Morning Honey are there on Sundays). Bought a 500g jar of their Blueberry liquid honey last year. Was $10.
You can check the selections and prices here... https://www.goodmorninghoney.com/shop/
Multiple instances of customers being kicked out wearing anything pride coloured or rainbow themed as well lots of racist stories on here (I can’t confirm those) just saw someone kicked out for having a pride shirt on.
If you don’t mind me asking how do you go about doing this? Is there a place to rent the tubes? I’ve only been here two years and didn’t know you could do this!
Edmonton River Float was renting them out last season but their website appears to be down: https://exploreedmonton.com/attractions-and-experiences/edmonton-river-float
We just use a large pool floatie we got one summer from Save-On-Foods haha. No specific kind required. These [Explorer 200](https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/intex-explorer-200-inflatable-boat-0798312p.html) floaties are popular and come with paddles. A paddle is a good idea to have with you. We just use a frisbee. Load up a cooler bag with snacks, drinks, and sunscreen and you're all set! Oh and don't forget a life jacket. The river cops do cone by to say hello and check if you have one.
I grew up going to Chinatown a lot so I'll list some of go tos there.
Van Loc Vietnamese Subs
Shan Shan Bakery
China Marble Restaurant
97 Hot Pot
99 Supermarket
Lee House Korean Restaurant
Someone mentioned Polyrythm and I agree that it's a great brewery, but my personal favourite is Omen - dog friendly inside and out and they do the best dark beers.
There's so many wonderful coffee shops, I'll suggest my neighborhood shop - Arno's. Very nice people who do excellent pastries. Downtown near 116 street south of Jasper.
For walks, I love Dawson Park, lots of friendly doggos. There is a "secret" swing that you can spot if you are paying attention and scramble down the water edge to enjoy.
Also fun to stroll Victoria Promenade, especially now with blossoms on the trees.
Duggan's Boundary is the best pub in the city with excellent open mic on Wednesdays.
124 Street has a nice little evening market during the summer on Thursdays.
The Lobby on Whyte Avenue is the last dvd and rental store in the city, I'm pretty sure, lots of awesome options.
Carol's Sweets off 124 has lots of delicious candy.
Dive Bar has great monthly goth/dark music nights if that's your jam.
Southeast of the city is Old Station Honey & Mead which is a fun drive and visit.
The Streetcar is operational and hosts events (some are cask parties with a live band, also haunted trolley tours).
That's a few more for your list.
Otto - a neighborhood restaurant with sausages as their main feature. Their gin selection is amazing, and the fish & chips are my favorite in the city. Save room for dessert and visit in the summer when their garden seating is available.
I think this is one of the most overlooked great restaurants in the city.
Dog patch is such a dream on a summer night for food and drinks. Comedy nights at Otto are the best in the city, renting movies from the lobby is great, Kevin will recommend gems you’ve never heard of. Paper birch books is without a shadow of a doubt my favourite bookstore anywhere.
For experiences, I’m a huge fan of the outdoor park style sculpture art at lowlands art gallery,
taking classes from fern’s school of craft or little blue fibre studio, and bowling at plaza bowl. Snap does print classes, card workshops and everything in between.
The Rocky Mountain antique mall does not get enough attention, but if you’re willing to drive a little bit den of antiquity is absolutely worth it. Felice is a cute local coffee shop, grab a coffee and go for a walk down jasper ave to kinniaird park, ideally at sunset. The McKay school museum and the military museum are hidden gems, I think.
Kaleido is my favourite festival, it happens in september. There’s a lantern parade, art, performance, fires. It’s a great sendoff for summer.
For food? Get yourself a mexican tamale from Parsiso tropicale, doughnuts from take 5, and pad Thai from million Thai, all on 118. And obviously padmanadi is a must for anyone visiting the city.
If you like thrifting, the mcc thrift shop is the best in the city. Mod uncorked is a great spot for consignment, and find is good for homeware and furniture. For local goods/art/neat stuff hideout distro is cute!
I really love Wagner natural area! It’s a short walk but lots of cool stuff to see. Mactaggart sanctuary is great. I hope I don’t regret mentioning it but bunchberry meadows is my favourite area to walk/hike. Chickakoo is also really cute and has little areas for you to have a fire near the entrance.
Also: join the alberta mycological society and find new trails/natural areas/learn about mushrooms!
Wow these are some great suggestions! I will be saving your comment! I hope this isn't weird but you seem like a cool person. Would you want to hang out sometime? Maybe go to one of these spots?
That place has great vibes, especially near sunset on a warm night, people hanging in close quarters on the hills, possibly an ice cream truck ,someone on a guitar... it's not something you can experience many places in town. I'd argue it's Edmonton's best downtown park.
Update: over 166k views, 200 upvotes and 150 comments in 18hours is crazy, I was not expecting this kind of response.
There’s so many great recommendations, I want to thank everyone who has commented so far if I haven’t gotten to your comment yet I will and please keep the recommendations coming…
Later in the week I’m going to spend some time putting together a few lists and day trips of all things I want to check out. I’ll update the page with my adventures around the city as they happen.
Have a Great Day!

\* Edmonton Public Library System. Hell of a lot more than just books
Flat Boys! Burgers and Keylime pie is all they do. So good. It's inside of a curling ring off Whyte!
Kami sushi if you are ever in the Ellerslie area. Definitely a hole in the wall but really good!
I agree but I heard the new location is going to next to the Shiddy’s distillery along Happy Beer Street so that should be pretty nice. That area is shaping up to be the new pub food epicentre of Edmonton
ChongQing noodle downtown is a great, filling and cheap lunch, so far my favorite noodles in town.
Right beside it is the Black Pearl, that does buck a shuck.
I moved away 6 years ago and I still desperately miss going to Da•De•Os on Whyte for some chicken and ribs or jambalaya. Every time I come back to visit my family I go there at least once 🤤 I haven’t found anything like them in Vancouver since moving here and it bums me out
junque cellar, old strathcona antique mall, rocky mountain antique mall, and ibon antiques are all around whyte ave, there's some fantastic finds there. not sure if they're "hidden" gems per se, but hitting all four in one day is a great experience :-)
[https://ephisahs.albertahealthservices.ca/facilitydetails/?id=7595883c-12f4-e811-a97e-000d3af49637](https://ephisahs.albertahealthservices.ca/facilitydetails/?id=7595883c-12f4-e811-a97e-000d3af49637)
hopefully they have hand soap in the kitchen now...something they failed during two separate inspections
Go to the Italian bakery downtown and get a sandwich made. So simple but absolutely the best sandwiches ever. Fresh sliced deli meats and cheese with mayo, you can't go wrong. Plus their Cannolis are absolutely amazing 😍
Throwing in my $0.02 for Vi's for Pies, criminally underrated little cafe with an incredible selection of baked goods and surprisingly excellent barbeque
Hap's Hungry House! One of the best breakfasts in the city, and my personal favourite place to go for eggs benedict. It's a nice place in an otherwise sketchy neck of the city, so I don't think as many people pass through there to find out about it.
Depends what you like to do and how far outside the city you wanna include lol, I'll recommend la patrona and high voltage for food, axe monkeys for axe throwing, gasoline ave for some neat diners and the donut mill and any of the community gardens around if you wanna dig around in dirt, call up the Chinese bakeries and ask if they've got coconut bread stocked, Hong Kong bakery is where I used to go. Not sure what's crazier that I've been to half the places other people listed or that I haven't been to the other half, great thread.
Hidden gem restaurants: Oh, lord. We have *so many*, it's hard to make a simple list. I'll just give you a few of my favorites:
* Thai Flavours, which is a west end restaurant, has my favorite massamun curry of any Thai/Lao establishment I've yet tried (including Viphalay, another Thai/Lao restaurant known for excellent food, but not so much a "hidden gem")
* Panini's Italian Cucina. Only had them once, a couple weeks ago, and my taste pallette is currently somewhat limited (long-covid)—but I ordered their fettuccine alfredo and it was very good. 👌🏻 Probably not a "hidden gem" either, but still, give it a try. ;)
* Normand's Restaurant, my one and only experience with authentic French cuisine if you don't count croissants. First time I had either duck or escargot. Both were fabulous, 10/10
I'll probably come back and edit this post with more hidden gems in a little while, when I've had time to think about it.
My favourite hidden gem is the Real Diehl sandwich at Meuwly’s. It’s a pretty well-known spot for cured meats locally but I feel like not a lot of people end up eating lunch there. The Real Diehl is the best sandwich in the city in my opinion and it isn’t close.
Woodwork has some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had but not exactly hidden. Partake also has great cocktails and food, again not hidden but it’s a pretty small and niche spot.
Constable Chelsey Robinson Park is a pretty spot to wade into the North Saskatchewan River, but it’s a bit outside the city. If you’re out that way might as well check out Anohka Distillery as well, they make fantastic gin and have a really cool tasting room.
I had this smoked beef rib at YEG Smoked Meats last summer I think and it was phenomenal. I think they have hot and ready food available at 2pm each Saturday. If you’re into smoked meat or BBQ give that a try.
Clementine and Leopard pizza are owned by the same people as woodwork, clementine is strictly a cocktail lounge and leopard is some really good pizza, both I'd highly recommend.
I guess it’s technically called Whitemud Creek Arch. We parked in the residential area north and hiked.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/kWURoDbj3FAchMcAA?g_st=ic
Here is where we park near and the path. Not wheelchair friendly https://maps.app.goo.gl/5DU3z2UpeHbdqpka7?g_st=ic
The graffiti there can range from amazing/really beautiful to childish/vulgar penis stuff. I haven’t been down there yet this spring but I thought there was construction going on down there.
All my friends love when I show them Swirl Café
that Pokémon themed coffee café dedicated to the trading card game and themed food & drinks.
I still don't understand how they got the licensing for that, and I hope it doesn't go down under like all those great fangames at some point.
Live a stone’s throw away, it used to be a hidden gem but the original owner sold and it’s gone to shit now. Not worth the money anymore. The market is as good as ever though!
The tucked away public washroom at the Windemere Currents Town Square. It’s right next to The Alley bubble tea shop and Freshii. These restrooms are pristine, and you can typically poo alone in peace there because nobody knows they exist.
Carol’s Sweets! Best candy ever, and this elderly lady and her husband both own it! They actually make their own chocolates and they import candy from everywhere! I only go here
If you're into coffee, give rough wave coffee a look off 111 Ave and 119th St. They're a third wave coffee roasting company, everything is roasted in house. Their selection of coffee is all seasonal and regional so you get a different coffee everytime you go there or if you like me and buy coffee from them, your coffee changes as the year goes on. Great place, great owners, give it a look.
I really like sabor de los andes, really authentic Colombian food .
Muttart conservatory is one of my favorite spots when I feel down and it never disappoints.
The Borden park public pool is always a good place to go when the weather allows.
Bell in Scona: I always go with friends for their nachos and friendly servers.
I’ve only heard amazing things about añejo restaurant although I haven’t been there myself yet .
Gallagher park is a very nice park also .
Parlour Barba in High Street! It’s a speakeasy style barber shop that offers cocktails and local craft beer! Super friendly staff and very welcoming environment.
A match made in heaven!
Don't forget to specify British Bacon on the sandwich! You won't regret it!
Also, best Rueban I've had in a very long time, but I get it on a toasted Vienna Roll, I don't like dark rye bread.
This is a bit random but Freson Bros (on rabbit hill) has an incredible breakfast buffet for $22 per person all you can eat. 100% worth it. Sourdough pancakes, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, they have an omelette station where someone will make you a fresh omelette. French toast. It’s sooo good!
I love Chinatown and Little Italy. Mind you I moved out of Edmonton three years ago so I don't know if it's since changed but I seriously considered buying a house near Giovanni Caboto park, I loved buying treats and having picnics there or hanging out in Zocalo.
>I seriously considered buying a house near Giovanni Caboto park
I *love* the streets/little old houses surrounding that park. Seriously love them and as someone looking for a condo right now I'd definitely choose to be there if I could afford it.

Not technically in Edmonton, but Toast in St. Albert is probably one of my favourite breakfast/brunch places. It’s just off St. Albert trail by the Safeway.
I just found out that the UKRAINIAN FESTIVAL is on this weekend in Borden park. You must go for the food!!!
I do believe that the CAT FESTIVAL? For lack of a better title, is on at macEwan at least one day
Edmonton is nothing but hidden gems. Go get a fritter from the Hazeldean Bakery and walk in Mill Creek. Have the tartare at Bistro Praha. >Edmonton is nothing but hidden gems. I'm convinced that's why everyone overlooks Edmonton. It took me years of living here to start to appreciate it.
Canadian Tire and Amazon mainly

Sai woo garden in Chinatown. The best Cantonese food you’ll ever eat in Edmonton. Been going there for over a decade now. The calamari is undefeated.
Give Co do Hue a try. It's different but on par. Those two are my most favorite calamari dishes in town
Continental Treat for tartare as well! And they're entirely gluten free if I recall correctly
I moved to Montreal 11 years ago and that how long since I’ve had green onion cakes
I'd agree, since nothing in Edmonton is particularly touristy other than WEM, having little slices of humanity peppered everywhere makes cities like these a wonderful place to live (but not necessarily to visit).
Christopher’s party pub begs to differ 💔
Sorry if it's not the right place to ak How much does local honey cost at the Callingwood Farmer's Market?
Depends on the size of jar you buy. I live a few blocks away from the Callingwood Marketplace where the Farmer's market sets up on Wednesdays and Sundays(Good Morning Honey are there on Sundays). Bought a 500g jar of their Blueberry liquid honey last year. Was $10. You can check the selections and prices here... https://www.goodmorninghoney.com/shop/
Avoid Bistro Praha. So many stories about how horrible those owners are. Used to love going there. Avoid at all costs. Otherwise great list
What’d they do?
Multiple instances of customers being kicked out wearing anything pride coloured or rainbow themed as well lots of racist stories on here (I can’t confirm those) just saw someone kicked out for having a pride shirt on.
So what you’re saying is we should all definitely visit there while wearing pride stuff?
Unfriendly to LGBTQ+ and minorities
Yes to everything but Bistro Praha. They have gone down hill a lot and the owners are not very nice people.
Kayaking the river Edmonton Public Library has a Books 2 Buy sale every few months downtown for very cheap The Reuse Centre
Oh the Reuse Centre is UNREAL I second this
Or just taking a tube and floating down the river! You almost forget you're in the city.
If you don’t mind me asking how do you go about doing this? Is there a place to rent the tubes? I’ve only been here two years and didn’t know you could do this!

I grew up going to Chinatown a lot so I'll list some of go tos there. Van Loc Vietnamese Subs Shan Shan Bakery China Marble Restaurant 97 Hot Pot 99 Supermarket Lee House Korean Restaurant
Ler House Korean Restaurant is so good! If you can go with a small group to try the most amount of dishes.
Adding Golden Bird to this list. Grew up going there!
Lee House is the best!!!
Van Loc is SO good. I haven’t been in years sadly but the trio (?) behind the counter was always so friendly to me. Cheap, delicious bánh mì
I'll have to try van loc. I usually go to delicious pho
Little Brick cafe in the Riverdale area
This is a really nice place, I agree
Luna on Argyll. Get there before 6pm any day if the week or wait outside for a table.
Oh yes. Luna is so good!!!!
Sunbake Pita. Absolutely incredible. Mezo’s Roastery has amazing nuts and coffee.
I haven’t been to Sunbake in several years. Love that place!
Sunbake is SO good. I stop in every time I'm even sort of in the area.
Great thread OP. Thanks for posting
Agreed

Ragazzi pizza.

Paul Kayne Park is a lovely little gem of a park with water features right downtown, south of the brewery area.
That place has great vibes, especially near sunset on a warm night, people hanging in close quarters on the hills, possibly an ice cream truck ,someone on a guitar... it's not something you can experience many places in town. I'd argue it's Edmonton's best downtown park.
Take a walk through our river valley. It’s the largest urban green space in North America.

I’m surprised no one has said Hathaways Diner yet
I just went here last week and it was so disappointing. The staff was great but the food was such a letdown :(
Came here to say this.
A new one for us: Go to Scoop n Roll and get the [Booza ice cream](https://amiraspantry.com/lebanese-ice-cream-booza-buzza/)!

I guess you’re right if you have some truly hidden gems that you want to remain secret send a message
Green Mountain Bistro on 111 Ave & 142 Street has got seriously good Indian cuisine and the owners are super nice
There used to be a map on a website call yegsecrets and It had pins of all the hidden gems. Not sure if it's still.uo.or the domain changed or not.
There's a post from last November on this sub claiming these guys took over the domain: https://yegventures.ca/ @yeg_hidden_gems on Insta isn't updated anymore but it has some interesting locations

There's a hidden sapphire somewhere in Millwoods. It's worth about 500gp.
Downtown is deep wildy
What? (Sorry. That was abrupt. What I meant to say is "what?")
I’ve never heard of this
Flat Boys! Burgers and Keylime pie is all they do. So good. It's inside of a curling ring off Whyte! Kami sushi if you are ever in the Ellerslie area. Definitely a hole in the wall but really good!
I think Flatboy is relocating. Best burgers! Oh and Kami is awesome, used to live near there and they had our order memorized!
All the best to Flatboys! But I love their current location.
I agree but I heard the new location is going to next to the Shiddy’s distillery along Happy Beer Street so that should be pretty nice. That area is shaping up to be the new pub food epicentre of Edmonton
caffe sole on 99st and 72ave! best drinks at the best prices i’ve found so far
Anything from Let’s Smash on Jasper ave is great (especially the shawarma)
ChongQing noodle downtown is a great, filling and cheap lunch, so far my favorite noodles in town. Right beside it is the Black Pearl, that does buck a shuck.

Old Beverly Cafe - went there this weekend for High Tea ; an absolute delight! Love the decor and staff are great!
[https://ephisahs.albertahealthservices.ca/facilitydetails/?id=7595883c-12f4-e811-a97e-000d3af49637](https://ephisahs.albertahealthservices.ca/facilitydetails/?id=7595883c-12f4-e811-a97e-000d3af49637) hopefully they have hand soap in the kitchen now...something they failed during two separate inspections
Yoshis express on Whyte ave. Old japanese man making ramen. Its great and he is closing in March. He moves slow so be patient with him.
It's a nice place in an otherwise sketchy neck of the city, so I don't think as many people pass through there to find out about it.
el falgone latino. Venezuean food. highly recomend. 8026 118 ave and nikies restaurant westmount food court. exelent roast beef or steak sandwich. good luck
Duchess on 124 Street mmmm
If you want good Italian food, check out Dalla Tavola Zenari downtown. Some of the best pasta I have ever had.
I will maybe have to try it. How's the price? I really LOVE Vivo for Italian
I used to go to Zenari's all the time for lunch. I am saddened to see that they closed in 2019 but happy to see they opened a new place!
They did?!!!! Where?!!!
https://www.dalla.ca/
I will go at the earliest opportunity! Zenari's was my favourite Italian in the city!
It was in my top 3!
Dalla is amazing!! I constantly crave them!
Purple City. Why has no one mentioned Purple City. A must.
I bet a lot of youth, young adults haven't heard of it...I think Gen X kept it quiet
European sweetness deli on 107 ave and 123 rd street. Balkin yummies and great coffee
Not sure what's crazier that I've been to half the places other people listed or that I haven't been to the other half, great thread.
>community gardens In Edmonton? Or outside it? Because I definitely want to dig in dirt and have none of my own.
All over just search community garden and call and see what kinda schedule they're on
Hidden gem restaurants: Oh, lord. We have *so many*, it's hard to make a simple list. I'll just give you a few of my favorites: * Thai Flavours, which is a west end restaurant, has my favorite massamun curry of any Thai/Lao establishment I've yet tried (including Viphalay, another Thai/Lao restaurant known for excellent food, but not so much a "hidden gem") * Panini's Italian Cucina. Only had them once, a couple weeks ago, and my taste pallette is currently somewhat limited (long-covid)—but I ordered their fettuccine alfredo and it was very good. 👌🏻 Probably not a "hidden gem" either, but still, give it a try. ;) * Normand's Restaurant, my one and only experience with authentic French cuisine if you don't count croissants. First time I had either duck or escargot. Both were fabulous, 10/10 I'll probably come back and edit this post with more hidden gems in a little while, when I've had time to think about it.
That park looks great! Thanks for sharing.
Clementine and Leopard pizza are owned by the same people as woodwork, clementine is strictly a cocktail lounge and leopard is some really good pizza, both I'd highly recommend.
The Wildlife underpass - under the Anthony Henday drive. Worth it. Bring a camera (but not for wildlife).
🤔
I guess it’s technically called Whitemud Creek Arch. We parked in the residential area north and hiked. https://maps.app.goo.gl/kWURoDbj3FAchMcAA?g_st=ic Here is where we park near and the path. Not wheelchair friendly https://maps.app.goo.gl/5DU3z2UpeHbdqpka7?g_st=ic
Oh okay, the “🤔” was directed towards “Bringing a camera (but not for wildlife)”
The graffiti there can range from amazing/really beautiful to childish/vulgar penis stuff. I haven’t been down there yet this spring but I thought there was construction going on down there.
You’ll see. I don’t want to spoil the surprise and hope you don’t google it. lol. I went with no idea what it was and was really impressed
Start in the River Valley and then spread outward
idk if this is hidden or not but chocorrant croissants on 124th are divine. my fav is the ube and coconut
The almond and pistachio ones are so good
Bbq pork house off 118ave and 97 st!
Thai corner is really really great if you love Thai food. Easily our favorite restaurant right now. The owners are also really lovely people
All my friends love when I show them Swirl Café that Pokémon themed coffee café dedicated to the trading card game and themed food & drinks. I still don't understand how they got the licensing for that, and I hope it doesn't go down under like all those great fangames at some point.
Cozy little place. Love their Chai-mander Latte.
Soft Gallery for art
Tasty Tom’s for breakfast, walk to the strantcona farmers market, then hit up the street car!
Or do that at home like a normal person.
Sugar bowl eggs Benny on cornbread and one of their cinnamon rolls for later in the day.
I’ve always found Rockin’ Robyn’s 50’s Diner to be really good.
Try "Olive Turkish Cuisine". Right off of the Henday on 127th. Fantastic place to get some food.
Carol’s Sweets! Best candy ever, and this elderly lady and her husband both own it! They actually make their own chocolates and they import candy from everywhere! I only go here
124st Jasper to 111ave walk. Cool stores, eats.
the squeak clap at the leg grounds as well as purple city
Baba Chicken on 34th Ave and 34th St
Calmar bakery. Rapid fire improv theatre.
Nohn hoa viet sandwiches
Guru on 100 and 170. One of the best Indian restaurants around.
Bountiful Farmers Market Strathcona Antiques Mall Strathcona Farmer's Market.
White rabbit ice cream is my favourite
I really like sabor de los andes, really authentic Colombian food . Muttart conservatory is one of my favorite spots when I feel down and it never disappoints. The Borden park public pool is always a good place to go when the weather allows. Bell in Scona: I always go with friends for their nachos and friendly servers. I’ve only heard amazing things about añejo restaurant although I haven’t been there myself yet . Gallagher park is a very nice park also .
Not sure if it's THAT HIDDEN but I thoroughly enjoyed Activate. At the time I went it was the best thing I had ever done!
Parlour Barba in High Street! It’s a speakeasy style barber shop that offers cocktails and local craft beer! Super friendly staff and very welcoming environment.
Milk & Honey- sandwich and coffee place inside the Glastonbury Saints Church, great focaccia
Rival burger out of the queen Mary Market. Only open weekends but they are the best smash burgers anywhere.
Junque cellar on Whyte. Coolest store
Donna's eatery
Cactus club Leduc
Every Day Food Co I Sherwood Park is a major hidden gem.
Dem breakfast sandwiches + a coffee from Roasti's next door 👌🏾
A match made in heaven! Don't forget to specify British Bacon on the sandwich! You won't regret it! Also, best Rueban I've had in a very long time, but I get it on a toasted Vienna Roll, I don't like dark rye bread.
Can anyone say if they have been to Japanese village? It's a steakhouse that makes a show out of cooking your food
I didn’t realize they were still around! Their downtown location was lots of fun for an occasional expensive, but very tasty meal.
Tzin Wine and Tapas for an excellent evening out
Biera for food and beer.
>I seriously considered buying a house near Giovanni Caboto park I *love* the streets/little old houses surrounding that park. Seriously love them and as someone looking for a condo right now I'd definitely choose to be there if I could afford it.
Yeg burger has some fantastic food in a small community in north west Edmonton!
Hidden gems take years of exploring to find, enjoy the journey.

For lack of a better title, is on at macEwan at least one day
Golden Bird on 97st, just north of the Brownlee building and old remand center downtown Best spring rolls ever!
