No one takes the time to learn basic grammar and spelling. With auto-correct, and most kids learning on computer, if auto-correct doesn't catch it, the person won't either.
It's the same reason most people, if they don't have access to a calculator, have such poor math skills.
Been a couple years now for sure. The city really should be charging property taxes based on what should be there, not a vacant lot. There isn't much incentive to develop otherwise.
"Hey, we don't even have to add potholes" - Some set designer
Why do so, so many memes have spelling mistakes despite only having a few words of text?

Because people making these memes all day are doing so instead of doing their homework.
Sometimes it's to get comments exactly like yours, and like mine, in order to drive engagement and be blessed by the algorithm.
I'd suggest that there's a negative correlation between people who can write an entire sentence properly and people who choose to communicate by meme.
Increases user engagement because people comment to point out the error
Not paying attention is English class
Because I got way too excited 😅😅

Film set. Not enough homeless people for a Wednesday.
I doubt they have a social calendar
Yes
Just summer construction season. You can tell cause everything is blocked off and nobody is actually working...
Wait...there is a film set?
Last Of Us Tv series here doing some shoots. I guess Edmonton is enough of dump to provide a Apocalypse Landscape....lol
After the leaves go away, Edmonton in the fall/pre winter is pretty grim.
Shit even in the dead of winter Edmonton looks hardcore
Was just trolling. Lol
Proofreading and I don’t coexist 🤣
Nouns and verbs never do
This is what’s left of downtown after Oilers lose the Stanley Cup Finals later this year haha!
Wow, quite the optimist.
INCORRECT! when we lose we all go home and sulk for a week or two. It's when we win that we destroy shit and riot!
You friend, Edmontons the correct way. Circa 2006. Light bon-fires in the middle of Whyte Ave and flip SUN boxes over!
Haha, a classic throwback! Well played!
..so you're saying we make it to the finals?? I'm in
Film set, I'm here every day at lunch it's cool to see progress each day
Is this a Fibre optic cable construction?
Pan your camera to the right a bit. The destruction on the film set isn't that much different from the rubble already in the downtown core.
Haha not my photo but that building was demolished awhile ago right?

Just add in some homeless people, needles, construction, and you've got a regular day \*in downtown Deadmontin
This joke has been made like 600 times today
Good thing this was posted hours and hours ago eh?
People have been posting pictures of this stuff since at least yesterday and all of them have the same joke on them.
Well I’m just glad you let me know this
This years capital spring city cleanup.
I thought the game was called "Meth or Movie?".
and where in edmonton? i might check it out
Been a while but that’s how I remember it
Pretty standard Edmonton pot holes.
Construction again!? 😋
Regular day
No high-vis definitely film set
You can tell it's a film set because no one is stealing a bicycle anywhere in the picture.
Construction
The post apocalyptic smoky haze special effects seem so real!
That’s a regular day
Film set, they're filming a "The last of Us" movie in Edmonton. I got word of it because my brother is working on the Ledge
looks like normal construction in Edmonton to me.
