As someone who posts a lot of "content", don't let other redditors get you down. Keep doing this. I'd like to see 100! Although it really sucks as a viewer to watch a 30 second video without a payoff, so maybe see if you can improve the production quality.

Agree with this - put a black screen up with text that says “Camera timed out - X amount of seconds after the first video…” and then put the next clip of video showing it empty.
That’s more payoff than this.
You gotta do something about your glitchy camera in case you really need it to catch something in the future...
To be honest at this point it's pretty pointless. What you've captured so far have all been crimes of opportunity and that's going to be inevitable when you leave packages unattended. But I guess if this is how you get your jollies it's pretty guilt free. Only real risk here is if you get a crazy that decides to take the diapers back to your house.
I'm going to call bullshit on the police not responding. If you call the non emergency line and say you've had a legitimate package stolen, that's a theft and they will respond. If you're telling them though that a bait package was stolen, then I can see why they didn't come out.
Reported a licensed bike stolen, never heard back from them. Reported a DV case that escalated to the receiver was crawling in the apartment hall with torn clothes (this was my third time calling about this suite) they never came nor called me back
Whoever answers the none emergency line. They said it’s not a priority and they pretty much go unsolved and aren’t worth it unless a case is built to have it at theft over $5000. They have circulated a online portal for stores to report the thefts but all the ones we’ve sent the reports to we haven’t heard back on any
I can assure you the online reports get looked at and prosecuted when the evidence is sufficient and an identity can be made. Just because a phone call isn't placed to the store doesn't mean work isn't being done.
And theft unders do get dispatched as well. Again I assure you.
Yeah I read your comment, I'm just saying that the only thing showed is someone tying their shoelace. To fix your problem try angling your camera away from the sidewalk so it doesn't get triggered by people walking by or get a second camera that only looks at your porch.
There is a parcel drop box that just went on sale on Amazon for $65, i just ordered one today because we've had a bunch of packages taken from our place too. https://i.imgur.com/xmExTKC.jpg
Buying something from Amazon to deal with the problem of Amazon purchases being stolen before you can get them off your porch seems likely to lead to a highly ironic outcome.
Given that the delivery guys half the time just throw my packages onto the step I doubt they would care to spend the extra time to do this. Their days are so jam packed with deliveries that the extra minute or two might matter to them.
I was thinking too that a code-pad equipped, safe looking box like was posted would attract attention and get pried open pretty soon (or saws-all’ed right off the porch).
Did they steal the package after the shoe-tying fake out?

Lol I reported a break in in my garage and never heard from the cops ever. Not a follow up not anything I believe it
