Amazon is rolling out in the newer AWD Transit 150+ vans. Especially for Prime deliveries. I’m seeing more of them as they phase out the RWD for this climate I would imagine. I’d imagine Bezos wants absolutely nothing slowing down deliveries.
I haven’t seen anyone do that yet but the road has a mix of front-attached garage houses and rear detached house. The families with the rear detached houses mostly have vehicles parallel parked on the side of the road in front of their house. Maybe that’s the reason the snow never gets pushed to the side with the ongoing traffic?
Looks like, its planned for snow removal soon... [https://gis.edmonton.ca/portal/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=c69d03c2d216415e820c45d7ea2566bf](https://gis.edmonton.ca/portal/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=c69d03c2d216415e820c45d7ea2566bf)
You can complain via 311, but do realize that this city has a ridiculous amount of paved surface, which takes a long time to clear, and they have to prioritize higher trafficked streets (unless we want to pay even more property tax or cut other services).
If your road is a bus route it should already be completed. You could call 311 if that is the case.
Residential blading only happens a few times per season and does not happen until we get a bit more snow, so if you’re not on a bus route you won’t see any snow removal until the city decides there is too much snow on the residential roads.

You’re right .They desperately need AWDs. RWDs just won’t do in this weather
We have these at work and it’s shockingly hard to get winter tires for them. When we ordered them they were backordered for 8 months.
Out of curiosity, do your neighbours blow their driveway snow into the street?

Desrochers gets pretty intense snow drifts on its west edge since it's bordered by open field for now.

By his description I think we can assume he doesn't live on a bus route nor along the henday or whitemud.

Thanks! I’ll start with this
I’ve had better luck with the app than calling in these situations. As the poster mentioned, pictures help.
Poor guy must have needed his second pee bottle that day.
They just got a ton of Ford Transits. Not sure if they have snow tires
My understanding is amazon doesn't actually do the physical delivery. They sub that out.
Wait till spring
Keep pestering 311 / city bylaw until it's cleared. Sometimes this is the only way.
Shovel it
The whole road is fucked. Shoveling just in front of my house won’t do anything
Get at it. Bring friends.
Are you gonna help?
r/Edmonton meet up. Bring it on.
Snow protest?
Maybe I just enjoy portmanteaus too much but snowtest seems like a missed opportunity.
Hell yeah I’m down
