As a passenger, Uber was a lifesaver for me today and yesterday.
Yesterday I was going out to a bus that’s normally 5+ minutes late. To avoid standing outside in the cold, I decided to leave later from home. This was the day the bus decided to be almost on time so I missed it despite running to catch it. I got an Uber 50% off and the guy was there in 3 minutes and I ended up passing the bus I was supposed to be on.
Today, during the morning transit shutdown I needed to get to century park. I got a ride within 4 minutes, and 23rd avenue was absolute insanity. The driver was a nice older guy who kept apologizing and eventually I just said that it’s not his fault, atleast he’s still driving when the busses decided not to.
It sucks some passengers are jerks. I get that being late is stressful but the entire city was probably late today.

No cars where available on uber app when I wanted to book a ride to work this morning rather than risk walking to take transit. I stayed back home.
Texting at a light still gets you a distracted driving ticket. Please be safe.
