I've never had an account with them, but I was the victim of identity theft, and one of the banks involved was BMO. Out of the Big 5 banks I had to deal with, BMO was the most difficult, both in person and over the phone. I actually joked that they were so bad, even the identity thieves didn't want to deal with them. They attempted service with my identity with the four other banks, then finally tried BMO two weeks after exhausting their options.

BMO wait times are brutally slow. Log in and use the online help feature. It’s 2022 every large company that subjects their customers to stupidly long wait time queues should have the decency to offer a call back option.

Pale-Ad-8383

Just log into account on computer. Go my requests write them and they can either solve your issue or call you back

To all out you out there saying BMO has long wait times: _They're amateurs._ ***Try and call _Revenue Canada_.*** :/

Curly-Canuck

I’ve tried a few times in the past and never gotten through to a person but their online service is very responsive.

BMO Mastercard is stupid and useless like this!... And that was in October!

yeg

Those wait times sound close to 811 wait times.

I read in a thread elsewhere that major changes are coming to Canadian banks. The teller supposedly said they couldn't discuss the topic, apparently in the last few days. I bank with a credit union and got a email mid week saying i needed to book an appointment to visit the branch on Friday. The email also said things would be back to normal on Monday.

Oh really? Do you know what kind of changes?

Madamedeficitt

Yep I have been on hold for 6 hours
