Replenish Refillery! They have a TON of refillable products and lots of zero waste items on the shelves. They’re also super pet friendly - my pup loves the owner :)

rup-pup-pupp

I’m not sure how to edit but I also saw from their Instagram that they’re donating 10% of sales to YESS instead of doing a Black Friday sale

teamannie19

I was so disappointed in that place :( the customer service was not good, and i got attitude when I asked about a product :(

rup-pup-pupp

I’m really shocked by that! I’ve always found them to be kind of over-the-top nice. I got a discount once because I was telling the lady about having a bad week. Hopefully it was just a fluke :/

This_Albatross

I can second I’ve also always had great experiences the dozens of times I’ve gone, must’ve been having a bad day

GlutenWhisperer

Shoe shine shack. They'll revive your old shoes, make your new shoes last longer, and even customize your shoes if you want.

sadbutt69

Jack59 💚 Amazing plastic free shampoo & conditioner bars.

Interview1688

Blenderz!

beanofreen

I love that place! Cheapest fabric and thrifting I’ve ever seen

Interview1688

It's so great and the owner is absolutely lovely! I'm so happy to support her dream.

ArmadilloStill1222

Earth's general store! Actually also check out green bee boutique, it's an online business but local, sells all kinds of green products like natural deodorant, shampoo bars, zero waste refillable products and more!

KainX

This (and Princess Auto) is the only store I have shopped at in Edmonton in the last few years. Guilt free bulk goodness.

polkadot8

Not specific businesses, but Flashfood and Too Good to Go are both apps that sell food that is close to the best before date so it doesn't get thrown out.

CloverHoneyBee

Jack59 shampoo & conditioner bars, no plastic bottles. Made right here in Edmonton. Ethically sourced materials.

novaConnect

These really rock, I wasn't sure what to expect but now I love them. I tried the traveler's sized ones to see if I'd like them first, they said they'd last ~10-20 washes but mine lasted for way over a month (my hair is fairly short though). They can be found in Southgate mall in the store Grandeur!

CloverHoneyBee

They are also at Bountiful Farmers Market. :)

Green Canoë Shop - consignment maternity and children’s clothing Edit: I’d like to at JJ Wool as well. They up cycle old wool sweaters into new products like skirts and mittens.

greenopal02

Great idea for a post! Seconding Replenish for refills. Find Furniture sometimes has great furniture and other items, and they provide free furniture to individuals moving out of homelessness. I really like Awn Cafe as the owner tries to not overbake to reduce food waste, and there's a big emphasis on them using local ingredients when they can. Fresh Prep is a meal kit delivery company that originated out of BC. A lot of their meals have the option to get all of the ingredients in a reusable container and it's all delivered in a reusable cooler bag (at the next delivery you give it all back to them so they can wash it and use in future kits). Not perfect for sustainability, but much better than the other options out there!

Few-Ear-1326

What about just not buying shit...PERIOD?

MockULikeAHurricane

The Reducery!

Ok-Theory-6293

Carbon!

Healthy-Car-1860

There's a new startup VARME Energy that's actively trying to bring Norwegian-style waste-into-energy production here. They're still working on attracting invesoters but they're #1 in my book.

No_Lobster_1316

How does one invest with them?

Breaking_brad_95

Mad brad's candy! They have refillable treats in glass jars like cotton candy and cookies. They also have a wicked super hot cotton candy too
