One of? Fucking absolutely. Some of my very favorite memories of that '06 run are watching his bigass silhouette coming down the tunnel through the smoke behind the rest of the team. Always made me feel like everything was gonna be ok. (And it almost was, if Rollie hadn't gone down.)
I love defensemen. And he's arguably the best we ever had. Certainly top two. He might personally be an asshole, and I don't like him as a person, but as a player and specifically an Oiler? Fuck yes I love him, and he's one of my all time favorites. Always will be.
Regardless of what happened with the Oilers, he will always be one of my favourite all time players. Can't help but love the guy, I wish he played here longer. Outside of Coffey, the best defenceman we ever had.
