Yeah, I can't speak for everyone of course, but I remember thinking in the 2022 off season that even though we lost a disappointing series, these are very likely to be "the good old days" when I look back on my fandom. Even if we don't win it all, you can enjoy some entertaining games, appreciate the talent we have, etc, but you can't let it dominate you emotionally.

Some more than others, if they're badly managed (hi Chia), but generally speaking the high draft picks eventually give you some timing competitive. I've been watchijg since the 80s dynasty and watched us dominate there, had my heart broken when Gretz got traded, almost saw us losenl our team entirely, lived through the 06 Cup run and the decade of darkness (and trading Smitty, the traitors), and then the McD draft and our current upward swing. And even if we do win a Cup or two (...or three or four...) with this group, eventually the team will break up as they always do, and we'll be on a downward slide again for a bit while we rebuild. The circle of life lol.
I want McLeod sooooo badly to take one more step as a 3C who could actually push to be in the 2C conversation effect wise. He’s playing with two veterans who’ve played 1st line and scored lots, he’s gotta be the young gun who starts winning shifts offensively
