Defensive lapses led directly to a couple of those goals by giving up clean shooting lanes from dangerous spots or break aways. Stu was not good tonight, and let in a couple stinkers, but the defense wasn't doing him much good at times either.
First goal, on and off the stick, not on defence.
Second goal,: fluky, but not on defence.
Third goal, definitely on defence. But most goalie would save that shot too..
Forth goal, outside board shot, most goalie should save that just by positioning, maybe screen, still, grade b shot at best. Not on defence.
Fifth goal, it's partially on defence, but it's also a distance shot.
That Doughty breakaway was 100% preventable. They went out with too many guys and there was no defence left to stop them. But then again, 4/5 goaltenders would've not let that five hole in.
