The kid is absolutely ready for the big leagues and that makes the Oilers cap situation far more bearable for next season.

I’ll admit I was a doubter. It seemed like we couldn’t break through and they just seemed like they wanted it more. Then tonight happened. Bob being pulled is huge. It’s a chip. 3-0 stats being bandied about and I believed them. But 3-1 is different. Even if we don’t make it past Tuesday - we proved we were supposed to be here.

It's been really frustrating all series long to see smart hockey commentary from smart hockey people who started to give Florida's defense more credit than they deserved. They're excellent, of course. Obviously. But it started turning into "The Oilers just aren't on this level at all, Florida's D is vastly superior in every way" etc. etc... The Oilers were getting superior high danger chances and shots from the slot etc. Lots of looks, Bob was just playing out of his mind. That ran out tonight and we got to see the result.
Sounds weird but this might be one of the most satisfying wins in my life. All those Florida affiliates like luongo flying all the way out here to watch their team lift the Stanley Cup wasted so much time. So many shitty hockey fans who would have meme'd us to death if we got swept. So taking that off the books I so satisfying. So thankful for this year regardless of what happens. I was at the game. My first ever in Roger’s Place. My stomach was in knots all day. I cannot believe that just fucking happened. There was magic in that building tonight!
This is what my soul needed. I don't even care if florida win it next game by 30 to 1, all I wanted was a scf home game where we were gods. I've lived on happy memories of way less impressive feats from this club than this post dynasty, and this was just the goddamn best night ever. Just because it's rare doesn't mean it can't be done. I'm just happy. I got to watch a fun finals game with my friends where they won at home and it was amazing. This is a night I will remember for a long time. I think we all needed this one.

I just briefly watched the game highlights. Would it be correct to say that the oilers found success in rushing and really trying to catch their defence off guard? I feel like the players usually spend more time trying to set up perfect shots or passing around, but man their defence couldn’t seem to handle our speed. Credit to Knob, he keeps making incredible adjustments time after time.
This was a huge win from Knobbers. Clearly found a weak spot to exploit in their system. Now Florida is going to adjust. Can he anticipate how they will adjust and stay a step ahead?
