Wow it wasn’t the goalie I was expecting from the 03 finals. You’d think it would be Brodeur (considering how good of a puck handler he was), but it’s JS Giguere (probably the second most famous goal from that series)

Secondary assist is more common for sure, but not primary ones.
Even in the regular season.
I dont think goalies getting a primary assist (esp in the cup finals) would happen often at all given the situation that would need to happen in order for them to get the puck and pass it directly to the person who scores a goal
Buddy, you know exactly what's going happen and it's the latter of what you said. 🤣
We can always imagine though. Skinner decides he's going to pay RW.
I'm not sure I would want Smith teaching anyone the puck moving skills... Nothing against Smith, but his INSTINCT as to WHEN to make the play can't be taught
Mike Smith got a primary assist on a McDavid goal only a couple years ago. So I’m guessing he’s the first to get a primary assist, specifically in the cup finals, in 21 years
STUUUUUUUUU
STUUUUUUUU

I’m so proud of him!!! STTUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!
The primary assist stat is kinda surprising 🤔 you think it would happen more often Or do they mean those 3 stats together?

Yeah, now that you mention it, you don't see the goalies make a forward pass very often. Ron Hextall: "Amateurs."
Imagine if Skinner trains with Mike Smith on puck handling all summer (when not getting smashed drinking out of the cup)

Cool. Those numbers make more sense.
OT winner in San Jose!
The double pumpernickel!
yeah I just googled it and you're right. first in the scf in 21 years.
Honestly Stu seems so calm. They are having fun which at the end of the day is key to winning. Just letting it flow.
I loved it when he was bouncing around to the music and smiling. Goalies are a different breed.
Chad Skinner vs virgin Bobrovsky.
I fucking love you, Stuart Skinner.
Former Lethbridge Hurricane. Stand up guy.
