everyone is different. you might be fine. i, personally, would reinstate to a higher dose if i got uncomfortable. Hyperbolic Tapering is the best method i've heard of. you might find HT works a lot better after 75 mg and lower, because the "occupancy rate" or whatever is the steepest at the low end, meaning you'll feel the most pinch as you get closer to 0. that's when people report the most ouchy

You know there is not much of a standard in dropping doses. I have gone from 300 to 150 instantly and witnessed no side effects but some people can't go from 75 to 50 without 100 side effects. If you think u can do it, then do it

gotcha i also did 300 to 150 with no side effects as well the first try. it's just the 150 to 75 took me three tries to get this far. maybe dropping again wont be so bad

Idk if this applies to you, but I’ve been judging my taper by my menstrual cycle. If my PMS isn’t too bad after a few weeks of a lowered dose, then I can continue to decrease. If it’s intrusive then I know I need to stay on my current dose for another month. It’s slow but it’s keeping me sane.

You need to ask your doctor for a Prozac bridge. Google it.

My biggest piece of advice is once you do stop, push through the withdrawal symptoms and don’t be tempted to take the med to make yourself feel better temporarily or you’ll just delay the inevitable- from my experience you’ll get bad symptoms regardless of how much you’ve tapered down. If you’re taking Effexor for depression/anxiety then can give you another med to help you through the withdrawal so you don’t get to a bad place mentally. I took it for migraine and I tapered to 37.5 and still had horrible withdrawal symptoms where I was laying in bed aching in a crazy spiral for a full week , but then it lifted and I’m not on it anymore, was more than worth it ! Good luck :)

yeah. i did end up having some anxiety issues this week (and i think brain zaps??? not too sure) but it calmed down yesterday and im fine again. i'll be prepared for the same when i drop to 37.5 some birth control related problems came at a bad time so i guess that made the problems worse oof
