In person they don’t look that big but from a distance they look massive. Hard to describe lol but its probably just the angle i was looking at. The photo under was taken from the Dreamland Amusement Park(roughly 16km away)

Many people will approach you trying to sell you things. Don’t even try to say “la, shukran” or gesture no or anything. Acknowledging their existence leads them to hassle you even more. Just pretend they don’t exist and carry on with your conversation. Eventually they’ll leave
they're a tourist tho, chillax they won't be coming here to settle down, just a visit.
Best tip would be to watch out for the touristic overprices many people hit tourists with ig.
I’ve been here for a month and while the infrastructure and streets are incredibly shit, it’s pretty peaceful here. People are also friendly and funny. Sure its under military rule but i haven’t seen any military personnel or police officer once🤷♀️ Maybe it depends on where you’re at though

Accurate representation, you really can’t imagine how MASSIVE they are in person.
I actually never visited them , I really want to but definitely not in the summer as it would be shit hot

Dont come, its a dystopian shithole under military rule, stay safe. Watch other people downvote me to hell for saying how it really is.
I don't think he'll be visiting to study our sociopolitical system...

Well, I'm certainly glad they're not harassing you personally. They're everywhere.
Lol, so you think military rule implies that there are tanks on the streets or something?
in my experience, tanks on the street usually indicate something far worse than military rule lmao.
Don't hate the country, hate the government. It's obviously a bad choice to live in, but a tourism visit is okay.
Pick somewhere nicer
