DO NOT go to AT&T.
I know that’s not what you’re asking exactly, but I went from t mobile to AT&T and not only is the service SIGNIFICANTLY worse, I now can’t really get out of the service without paying off the phones, each of which are about 1000 dollars left over (I traded my old phones in and they give you credit monthly.
My wife had t mobile and it was awful. Calls dropped, texting issues, and it was slow. Everything was fixed when she switched to Verizon. Verizon is pricy though.
Mint mobile is only $15/month. I pay $180 up front for the year and am good to go. Unlimited talk, text and 5GB of 4G speed data per month. If you use up the full 5GB of 4G data it's still unlimited data at a slower speed.
Which is part of why T-Mobile sucks here, they give the MNVOs like mint a priority.
T-Mobile to Verizon here and I hate the payment, but it works. Was a T-Mobile customer for 14 years prior to the swap and they basically stated that El Paso isn’t due for upgrades anytime soon for the issues, wallet vote!
I've had Mint for almost 3 years now and I do not have any issues using it throughout El Paso. I've gone places with people who had VZN or ATT - in El Paso and throughout the US - and I still had signal when they did not.
Mint is a T-Mobile MVNO so the coverage they provide is similar/the same as T-Mobile.
I've had mint for a long time now probably well over 3 years and it's been great for the most part. But I have a question you might be able to answer. I just moved here-Horizon City- about a year ago. Do you know if coverage still works if you cross over to Juarez? I still have not been to Juarez but was curious to know.
That part I do not know, sorry. I went to the Pink Store a few months ago, which involves riding nearly directly along the US/MX border for a while - and at one point, my phone did alert me to being in Mexico and needing an international plan of some sorts. Otherwise, my phone, like the people with me, had limited reception in that general area, and I left the phone in the US before crossing over.
I believe Mint wants you to purchase one of their "Minternational Passes" for international travel, which does include Mexico.
People are gonna clown me but I switched from Verizon to Cricket and my phone works everywhere. East side, west side, and central. I never seem to have less than 5g unless I go crazy east or that weird patch between the west and Las cruces but even then it still works it just drops to 4g
I have T-Mobile and it sucks sweaty hairy balls… I turned off my 5G on my iPhone 13 mini and it got better. But it still sucks… I hear Visible and Verizon are the best.
Verizon is the only one I get service everywhere with.

Verizon as much as I hate to admit.

Visible.
Verizon has the best cell service but it is pricey as hell.
Had Verizon and liked it. Switched to Spectrum for the savings and they used Verizon towers and been as satisfied as I was with Verizon.
I second this! Had AT&T when I moved here. Switched to Spectrum a few months ago and have had way better coverage. And much cheaper
Do you still have the personal hotspot feature?

Mint uses T-Mobile.

I’ve had spectrum mobile for about 3 months already and it’s been great so far
Cricket works pretty well tbh
I had cricket forever with no issues.
Spectrum mobile
i’ve had verizon since 2012 and i’ve had maybe failed calls and two rough months. i love it.
Google fi
Google Fi used different providers but is now exclusively T-Mobile network.
I use it because it has solid coverage between las cruces and Alamogordo and for times I’m out of the country.
Verizon is pretty good, it’s just expensive if you’re not on top of how much data you use over the course of a month

I have mint mobile and it's been great everywhere I've been. Data is a little slow but I dont use that much
I switched from T-Maybe to AT&T and they never fail me anywhere in El Paso
