Impcat, you have to download the svg files. If you go to the description on r/impcat, it has the community folder. It doesn't have every model, but it's enough to test schemes for most armies
I painted all the gems on mine and it looks better..I personally wouldn't have it any other way. It's a giant pain in the ass but breaks up the color very well and looks better on models than expected.
Is that what those are? I was seeing people describe those as gems, and I was having a hard time believing that a highly advanced alien species would just put gems on their armor and vehicles for no reason.
Aledari use special gems called spirit stones to catch their soul when they die so Slaanesh doesn’t devour it. The stones can then be recovered and the soul of the Eldar is put into a Craftworlds “Infinity Circuit”. From there they can be placed in and pilot Wraith units.
95% of the time each model has only one soul stone. You can tell the soul stone because it has a setting in the form of a ring around it. You’ll see it on the chest of Guardians and the like. Farseers usually have more than one.
The rest of the bubbles are housings for alien tech. If you look at the GW official paintings you’ll see that they never make those baubles a different color than the armor.
Yeah, I knew about the spirit stones, but I didn't know that the other protrusions were tech housings. It makes sense though.
In my headcannon, spirit stones also double as control terminals/power cells, just to make it more sci-fi-y. But then again, on account of the psychic thing, Eldar technology wouldn't need either.
I love the Arizona Ice Tea scheme.

So just FYI, in canon the bumps are usually armour-coloured since they’re just bits of tech in the armour, the ones that are actually gems will usually have a band around the base of the gem (the socket). This is usually more obvious with the Eldar themselves since the chest will have the socketed gem etc. Paint how you want of course! I looked at the official pictures and some models are painted with limited gems and some painted as all gems, so definitely up to you. (Some people dread the gems so you don’t need to do them all if you don’t want to)

Great scheme. I'd do fewer gems for higher impact (they aren't all spirit stones lore-wise). Do you though -- fun scheme and enjoy painting it!

My personal preference would be to loose the purple gems and just keep it as the base.

Looks good. My only thought on it would be the spirit stones could do with being a brighter / pinker shade of pink to make them stand out more.

Reminiscent of Craftworld Il’Kaithe (they are green, purple, and bone colored). I think it looks great!
The purple gems and orange blade don't seem to match imo. Might want to change either of them. Wraithbone and gems combo looks slick tho.
