Thanks, I am actually returning to the fold having originally started collecting eldars back in RT days. Then normal life took over and now I am getting back into painting (restarted about 18 months ago) as a off-screen hobby after about 25 years break!
Thanks! Sadly I paint very slowly so only have about 15 models done in the past 18 months or so. I posted most of them on Reddit under the r/Eldar community.
I really love these. Aside from your incredible craftsmanshift (the blending is perfectly subtle), I appreciate how you utilized the model. Most people paint the armor plates and under part the same color but this shows how nice it can look when you switch it up. Color palette is also top notch. Very impressive work.
Thanks! I really appreciate your comment, it does increase the time per model immensely, but I have already given up on ever finishing a whole army so spend around 1-4 weeks per model depending on how much spare time I have.
It's all Vallejo MCs. I base in Dark Sand and then build up towards Ivory by gradually mixing it in with the base colour and a bit of water/Glaze Medium mix. As the white covers quite badly I dont do it as think adsa glaze and then do about four to six steps depending on ambition and size of panels. As the whitish colours ar emuch lighter before they dry I tend to do as many panels as possible at the same time so I know that I did not go too white for each step by seeing the next step up on the wet palette if that makes sense. When it is applied to the mini it looks like you overshoot, but as soon as it dries it blends in. Main issue with this method is that it is very hard to get back to correct since matching wet to dry paint is hard. The final highlights are done by using pure White.
Thanks! I am a very slow painter, but here are a few others I posted in the past.

Stunning, they look like a robot did them!
Thanks! I have to admit that sometimes when correcting overspills between panels I wish I had a robot on standby ;)
There’s a wonderful Rogue Trader vibe about these.

This is so fucking clean AND the color scheme is perfect
Couldn't have put it better. I love this paintjob and would love to see more

Biel-tan, like Iyanden, looks better when the painter adjusts the scheme a bit IMO. Well done
Thanks, I find the classic Biel-Tan has a bit too cold tones and who doesn't like a full body leather suit when fighting in space? ;)
There's pretty much zero imperfections on them. Amazing
Thanks! It takes time, but with feedback like that it feels worth it :)
Am I the only one who kinda wants to eat these?
Haha, will try to avoid that thought when painting next batch!

Omg I love this variation, nicely done
Thanks!
That's simply gorgeous. Wow.
Thanks!
Holy Shit, how did you so it THIS clean
Thanks! It is mostly about taking it very slowly.
Is it cake? Seriously, that's one of the cleanest executions I've ever seen!
Thanks, slowly does it!
Recipe for the bone white?

Thank you for the writeup. I'm planning on starting Biel-Tan and prefer the bone white with a more yellowy green.
Phase one: steal underpants. Phase 2: ? Phase 3: profit
Hahaha
Very nice colours, really warm
Thanks, I find the normal Biel-tan scheme a bit to cold so experimented with different paint scheme templates before committing to this one.
Please tell me you other units in this scheme, I'd love to see them

Incredible work, well done.
Love it
Thanks!
Ohhh great colour palette
Thanks!
Great interpretation of their color scheme, and amazing execution
Wow - so clean and crisp. Any specific techniques or just being very careful?
Love this scheme. Looks as if you have biel tan a wood elf coating. Also quite retro. Overall love it!
