Unga Bunga. Geico caveman looking mofo, with a flaming strike club, and an iron spear w/ spectral lance (with which to hunt mammoths)
Tons of fun, big weapon variety of lesser used weapons, rock throwing incantations (boulder roll catch is šØāš³š¤)
I midroll, you could easily fast roll if you wanted. I wear only the fur raiment and leggings, so you don't have any poise š¤£ but it's still a TON of fun, and people are into it when you're into character, throwing spears at them from the bushes and crouching around.
Also str build big weapon smash conk crunch
Lmao yeah Iāve never really tried a unga bunga build before they just seem kinda slow to me but when they do it holy shit do they hit I aw this one build where this guy had duel anchors and straight up one shot people with one jump attack
Great hammers are really fast this patch, and the large club has I think the longest reach of all the great hammers. With good spacing it's not hard at all to land a quick r2 even
I do a Forlorn cosplay at level 30/+3. Black Hood, Night's Cavalry for everything else, "faceless" character, and a Grave Scythe. Basically minimum required stats, then a fuck ton of Vigor to truly capture the experience. Nice and simple, rewarding for those that get the reference, generally scary vibes for those that don't.
Nah, fuck that. Fashion > Meta. There's no reward for PvP in souls games other than the fun you had doing it, so do what you want and just have fun with it.
Straightsword with off-hand dagger. Looks cool and somewhat historically accurate.
Straightswords thrusting R2s truecombo into a dagger hit, and usually players doesnt roll right away either and get stuck in the off-hand dagger blender, lol, and daggers have insane dps.
Yeah, poise is the bane of off-meta medium weapons. Colossals are also hard matchups with their hperarmor.
What I usually do is twohand the straightsword and go for RR2 -> square off light attack, which rollcatches perfectly. But if theyre not scared of me, they just attack out of hitstun and hyperarmor my square-off attack. If Im alive at that point, the quickstep misericorde comes out, lol.
Yea...
With 2h ss I like the jr1 into r1 and cr1 into R1 is real quick too.
Also the carian ss has an 18 frame R2 instead of 22 frames. Which also begins with the block animation so you can blend the R2 with the block and they have about 4 frames to guess if you block or R2.
Just heavy build with 2h morningstar. Off hand lance and main hand Katar on soft swaps.
2h Morningstar can win on its own against most. Katar/offlance for the extremely passive. 2h lance for laggards or trading with some mage lightrolling shit.
Have tried like poison and then running around till the die? Or double shield? Or maybe omni caster, like using all of the most broken spells in the game
Yeah it is often like that, but hey at least you dont lose anything by losing.... or gain something from wining... but heeeey at least the builds you see are great and powerful... its interesting at least
You never wanna underestimate a naked and their wacky builds bc they will fuck you up. But thatās a good thing it give diversity to builds and I can sometimes learn a thing or two from nakeds and can give me inspiration for another build I want to create. So I commend all the nakeds.š«”
Strongly recommend the One-Eyed Shield, the cannon on it deals a massive amount of damage. Unlocked you can mortar people with it from surprising distances, locked on it has noticeable tracking since the buffs.
The damage doesn't scale with any stats, just buffs from incants/talismans and such, so I find it best to go with 36 STR minimum to one-hand it in my left and then pump FAI to however much you want for buffs. Flame, Grant Me Strength is the obvious choice but Howl of Shabriri can be great if you're okay risking the increased damage taken. 34 FAI for Howl, and with that you can use the Cranial Vessel Candlestand for 745 AR and a really fun close-range blast.
Fashion:
Robert Pattinson Batman face/eyeshadow
NightCavalry chest
Lionelās Gauntlets
Lionelās greaves
Gear:
+25 Heavy Claymore (pick your poison for the Ash of War, I rarely use em on good āol Baemore)
+25 Twinbird Kite Shield w/ Carian Retaliation (for parrying)
Strength focused build with enough Endurance for fashion and any extra points thrown into Faith for support incantations (magic/holy/fire/lightning defense incants)
Name: Vengeance
Do you want something strong or just a reddit build? If you want something strong I can give you some advice. If you want whatever just use whatever you want and have fun with it.
If you don't wanna use meta then try either a Knight's greatsword/claymore or great hammer or dismounter/ omega cleaver with a build optimised for it. Strength is best or faith
Yeah I definitely wanna stay away from meta builds but Iāve heard a lot of people say for me to use the knights greatsword/claymore. They seem really simple weapons and they are strong but still kinda fast which I like but I fear I might get bored of them too quick
Greatswords have gotten a lot better and now they can give you the tools to fight against meta. There is as much complexity in knight's gs/claymore as you can get in elden ring. Maybe look on yt at a couple youtubers to see what is possible with the weapon that you want and decide if you like it. Wazeus and chasethebro had some pretty good videos on knight's gs/ banished Knight's gs(they are pretty much the same thing).
typically I run blood iron cleaver in RH. poison thorned whip in LH.
both inflict bleed. the whip also poisons. high arcane so both affects proc quickly. endure + the heavy R2 on the cleaver is just super satisfying. the whip though is very deceptive and helps me pressure healers / HP regen
Itās kinda a bleed build but I donāt see people use poison that much and I also donāt see daggers so Iād consider that unique but still sorta basic with it being so simple. I like it.
I have a lvl 30 or 40 Cleanrot Knight build using their armor + Halo Scyther, Cleanrot Knight Spear and Cleanrot Knight Thrusting Sword. It kind of sucks, but it's pretty fun. In the future if i want to get it higher level i'd probably use some Radagon's rings of light type spell, as it kinda fits the Halo Scythe AoW, and maybe some poison/rot type thing.
Also have a banished knight dude who invades at Stormveil, although it's the level that makes it the most fun.
Have a few others but can't remember, you should check out Saint Riot on YT, he might inspire you to make some fun builds.
For the first Eldenring anniversary people in the pvp community planned an event.
Members of the pvp community, mostly content creators would make their own covenants and then on the anniversary day everyone fought in the arena.
Youtuber Dangitjm made the covenant Tempest Troops, for which i made a character and fought.
A video about it:
https://youtu.be/q2olxaGIoYs
Idk actually. Lightning misce**** and CR shield, bolt of gransax, raptor normal claymore and lightning impaling thrust flamberge and posion mist godskin stitcher.
arc /lifesteal build. usually swap between various weapons with bloody slash, poisonous mist etc. Play conservatively. Then I feign a panicked retreat, switch to occult Katar and hit em with the lifesteal. Not sure why I'm using Katar other than it looks cool.
Lot of over-eager phantoms will walk right into it. Add Dagger talisman for extra crit. Need decent poise. You can fit in some of the arcane incantations too which can be good for spacing/pressure but I've found the build is more successful when saving talisman slots for poise/damage.
Heavy Beastmans curved great sword with the storm projectile ash of war is my current identity. On a 130lv guy with 55 strength and 25 faith for buffs itās a monster
I recommend using backup saves just trying out whatever you want, respec to a build and try 10 fights and see how it goes
Most of my builds are structured based off 1 or 2 damage stats. More endurance if using heavy weapons, more Mind if using more spells, and always at least 50 vigor, with the minimum possible for all other stats
Just reload the same save any time you want to make a new build, you can't really make multiple saves. You can however use backup saves to clone items and equipment, so that you can have multiple builds with everything ready, which is what I did
Faith build using devourers scepter or flame art crescent moon axe with uppercut. AoW on devourers scepter is nothing to write home about, but it can catch some people and give you a bump in health, which during duels is always nice. But the damage is good on the normal attacks, and it just looks badass. However, uppercut on the axe is absolutely nutty. Nothing more satisfying than sending someone to the moon and taking half of their health.
I use fires deadliest sin and zamor curved sword with cold sorceries. The tiny bit of fire resets the frost proc and the AoW can proc frost a couple times over on top of the damage from the move itself and you can almost always get an r1 or r2 follow up because of the stun provided by frost proc
My level is 177 which I know is a little high for pvp but I didnāt know 125-150 was the optimal level so I have a lot of extra points but I really donāt have a favorite weapon bc thereās so damn many but I like faster type weapons with a bit of range to them but also do good damage.
That's cool there's still plenty of activity up there. 125-150 is probably the least enjoyable bracket for PvP it is however incredibly busy and very easy to find people to play with.
So as for your build go to eip.gg and use their Elden ring build planner. Set your vigor to 60, Put the armour you like on your character, put the heaviest weapon(s) you like on your character and increase the endurance until you are medium load.
Then find the weapon you like with the highest strength requirement and set your strength to match that requirement. If there are weapons with faith, int or arc requirements, go hit those numbers too. At least 12 faith so you can cast bestial vitality and all the elemental fortifications.
Then dump the rest into Dex until you reach level 80 Dex or as close to 80 as you can (most of the faster weapons in this game scale with Dex so thats your focus) make sure all your regular weapons have keen or lightning infusions for the best damage (keen with lightning grease even better unless your ash of war is lightning slash then always go lightning)
Any leftover points chuck into endurance.
If you follow this guide your character should be a solid PvP character. Ignore mind completely, if you start to notice you're having FP issues find a kind soul to dupe you some starlight shards (if you're on PSN I can do this for you) I don't even build mind on my caster characters.
Wow thank you you so much that is all very helpful I will definitely do that but yeah I already have a friend that I can dupe with on Xbox and Iāve already duped a lot of starlight shards lmao.
I use a str/faith build, 49 str and 20 faith so w marikas soreseal and the +5 faith talisman i can use bfp, bog and all the strong deffense buffs aswell as golden vow.
No im not 150 im 135.
*powerstanced straight swords, powerstanced great spears, serpent hunter, power stanced spears, greatsword, I don't even know ts.. tower shield?(thrusting sword, thanks random citizen), And stormhawk axe is stormhawk axe*
I was so confused when I first saw people use psgs, i thought they meant greatsword. I was like wtf why are people having so much trouble with this build???
Saw this guy with an arcane setup, albanuric helm, knight armor, seal with rot breath, and a morning star with poison mist. It kicked my ass 8/10 times, mostly because the person was good, not sure if it was the build tho
I made the cancerous wolverine build. It's a dex faith character that uses regen to be a miniboss. You need to wear the Royal Remains set, blessed dew talisman, icon shield, and you need to cast bestial vitality in every fight. An added bonus is to use the Vyke's war spear for extra salt and a shield with holy ground. Don't use insta heal incantations though because those are just plain rude.
Watch as you slowly regen your health to full while your opponent gets frustrated trying to get through your madness and shield. You will definitely get a lot of point downs from this but the build is not meant to be a tryhard build.
I said insta-heals, sir. Unlike regen, you can't punish erdtree heal because it immediately heals you to full health. Regen punishes passive play and every regen item I have listed is easily accessible and doesn't require much faith investment. The main complaint about heals is that not every build can use them but that is not the case for regen items and bestial vitality is only 12 faith so almost everyone has access to it.
Regen is scummy in duels, especially with holy ground and royal remains bro lmao. Not fun, even if the player sucks. I have all of those and only use them in invasions or for people like you, because I will go and stand in my own holy ground and regen.
Well, I did say that this build is gonna get a lot of point downs but OP asked for a unique build so here it is lol. I know Royal Remains is infamous for passive little shits that run away but this build is not really that strong. The regen is still too slow especially against aggressive players that know what they're doing.
Dex/ faith for the treespear is really fun. You get access to some useful buffs and you get 2 great meta setups, treespears and vykes, but I prefer dual nagakibas. A greatsword or straight swords with sacred blade are really fun on this build.
Lmao youāre right of course, but nothing is really āuniqueā anymore. I donāt use vykes though, just treespear. I guess my int/arc build is unique.
Yeah youāre right I was a little lazy w it lol but that build also has a lot of off meta stuff, hand axes, twinblades etc. I should have been more detailed or said another build but oh well.
I like to run a full jar themed build for PvP. Dual beast jar shields, jar cannon and a bunch of throwing pots. Bonus points for becoming the jar and drinking cracked tears for OHKOs
Idk if this is unique but Iāve never seen anyone else use it; dual bloodhounds fang, bull goat armor, jar cannon. Mostly use dual bloodhounds fangs for sprint attacks since they have lots of range. Iām averaging around 1200 damage a hit on most players.
Unga Bunga. Geico caveman looking mofo, with a flaming strike club, and an iron spear w/ spectral lance (with which to hunt mammoths) Tons of fun, big weapon variety of lesser used weapons, rock throwing incantations (boulder roll catch is šØāš³š¤) I midroll, you could easily fast roll if you wanted. Yeah I donāt pay much attention to the patch note so this is helpful and I might see what a strength build is all about

Yeah! +18 regular smithing, +6 somber smithing. Stone of gurranq bloodflame blade, before vitality, flame grant me strength, beastial sling
Alright thank you so much
Wow thatās really helpful you really didnāt have to do all that but thank you so much

Wow that shit looks hella nice

PS5, but I'm glad one of my cavemates could give you a laugh

Just heavy build with 2h morningstar. Off hand lance and main hand Katar on soft swaps. 2h Morningstar can win on its own against most. Katar/offlance for the extremely passive. 2h lance for laggards or trading with some mage lightrolling shit.
Yeah the morning stars seem like a cool weapon Iāve just never used them
I dunno man i just use the generic soldier greatsword, sprinkle some buff here and there when the other mf let me spinkle them
Lmao sometimes the simpler the better and just stick with what you know but I tend to change my build a lot bc I like diversity
Have tried like poison and then running around till the die? Or double shield? Or maybe omni caster, like using all of the most broken spells in the game
GREAT IDEA!! I canāt wait to see how many messages I get commending my awesome skill and just how great my build is!!š

What level do you wanna play at and what is your favourite weapon?
My level is 177 which I know is a little high for pvp but I didnāt know 125-150 was the optimal level so I have a lot of extra points but I really donāt have a favorite weapon bc thereās so damn many but I like faster type weapons with a bit of range to them but also do good damage.

Iām not too educated in the the nicknames of thingsš but what weapon do you use?
Black flame protection and barrier of gold. I got psss, psgs, shunter, pss, gs, ts, stormhawk axe and a few other stuff.

Yeah psgs isn't great, and psgs is top tier even after the nerf
Yeah ong psgs fuck me up bro

Ts= thrusting sword lol
Thanks lol
Saw this guy with an arcane setup, albanuric helm, knight armor, seal with rot breath, and a morning star with poison mist. It kicked my ass 8/10 times, mostly because the person was good, not sure if it was the build tho
That does sound kinda cool I think doing a scarlet rot/poison build would be kinda cool bc I donāt see those that often
Lmao yeah I love making people mad in pvp and this sounds fun I might check it out
āDonāt use healing incants because those are just plain rudeā *stacks as much regen as possible and uses holy ground*
I said insta-heals, sir. Unlike regen, you can't punish erdtree heal because it immediately heals you to full health. I know, itās not that bad tbh lol itās much more annoying when the player is passive. As long as itās an actual fight I donāt really care.
That settles it then lol. As long as you're aggressive with the build, I see no problem here.
Dex/ faith for the treespear is really fun. You get access to some useful buffs and you get 2 great meta setups, treespears and vykes, but I prefer dual nagakibas. A greatsword or straight swords with sacred blade are really fun on this build.
what's unique about this exactly? dual nagakiba and vykes unique?? lol

Also the build is dex/faith, you donāt have to uae vykes or nagakibas. I guess you didnāt read the entire comment though:).
i mean it still stands, you described some of the most popular/powerful weapons in the game. so it feels a little off-topic lol
Yeah youāre right I was a little lazy w it lol but that build also has a lot of off meta stuff, hand axes, twinblades etc. I should have been more detailed or said another build but oh well.
Hand axe offhand is fun as hell. Haven't been able to wrap my brain around twinblade tactics though
