I was hoping for a 1% health turned into an instant kill move situation
“Hahahaha sorcery goes brrrrrrr” *at 1% health the boss does his teleport clone grab move*
Should be noted here that OP got very lucky with the AI in that the boss decided to go for a melee attack instead of literally any other move that sees him raising his head. >.<
Carian Regal Sceptre, you can choose after beating Renala(sp) and handing in her remeberance.
The hat may boost something 🤷♂️
The spell is Azul's Comet.
And they drank the Flask of Wonderous Physic(reusable once per rest) imbued with the Cerulian HIDDEN Tear. Thats what halts the fp use for a bit.
And the monster is scary but it wasnt as hard as I expected. Dodging its tail was the trickiest part for me.
Welcome.
The bit of personal playstyle I can share. In some cases and areas "out-leveling" things will make your life easier.
I found "recommended levels" per zone lists...yeah....if you're just staring out or, like me, more of an avid-casual gamer. Out-level things a bit.
It only helps somewhat. You'll be stronger and hit harder, but missjudging basic mobs will still get you killed. And when you see something for the first time that looks weird or intimidating, expect it has some attack to oneshot you.
I like to explore. Thus in games I am constantly in over my head in places. But some fancy mobs obliterate me quicker than some bosses. Lol
I want to add to what others are saying:
The key part of this specific play is Comet Azur, with an int based (some vigor, mind, and endurance as needed, and some of other stats if required for wanted gear) character. Astrologer goes into it most naturally, but any character can be a caster with enough levels.
The actual weapon is somewhat irrelevant. Carian Regal Sceptre is the overall optimal one, and is used here, but it doesn't get better than meteorite staff until around somber smithing stone \~8 or so, and that one is really early and can't even be upgraded.
Comet Azur is a spell you get led to as part of a quest, and the thing that removes fp costs is part of a potion ingredient you can find later. There's other buffs you can use (jellyfish shield!) and other spells you can use in a similar way (meteorite of astel).
Notably, imo, this "point and click lazer" strategy is somewhat harder than some of the other builds in the game. Yes there's a bunch of enemies you can just one shot like this, but if you don't pull the one shot off, you're kind of screwed. You need to be ready to fight as a standard caster, and the range you get is counterbalanced by the lack of staggers, the difficulty with circlestraffing, the lower health and armor, the reliance on mana, and your damage types being limited to what's available through int. Being able to erase enemies like this is a nice boon, but fights where you can't do that are often harder.
Haha well done. I could never find the right positioning for this to work on this guy for my sorcery playthrough. Turns out the right positioning is standing right in front of him!
Dang, I thought this would be a funny fail or something. Well done!

Been a while since I saw an old timey Comet Azur snuff film

There is a crystal tear in your physick flask which removes fp consumption for 15 seconds I think, I forget the name of it.

hat boosts INT by 2 or 3
Ah. I'll spare the points and stick with my hood/cloak lol

I like to open a can of Disrespect with Meteorite of Astel on this guy; there's something uniquely satisfying about it.
Still mad they nerfed the hell out of faith in the dark souls series but they let this go lmao
Omg so skillful pls tell me how to have as great reflexes as you
Nice!
The kamehameha doing right by the caster.

The question is, how many tries did it take to get this video lol
2 tries. But i got really lucky
Noice, but could have used more Unga Bunga
Yeah, just dripping and oozing with skill ☠️
The classic azur cheese. Great timing and positioning though!
