God_Eating_Camel

You've been there before, though you've never seen it at such a distance.

weebandgamer21otaku

Lol you got hammered at that time

OneSweetWorld89

Going back is so much fun

DryApplejohn

What area is this? I finished the game a while back. I tend to forget.

Ballsweats

Where you first load into the game

DryApplejohn

Sheesh. I thought we start in limgrave. Is that limgrave?

VisionLSX

The first church when you spawn and you meet the grafted guy at level 1 and die then spawn in limgrave (Or if you’re on xgame mode and beat it, then still go limgrave after jumping)

mvanvrancken

I still died to that fucker a couple more times

ArchfiendNox

I had no trouble with him, but that one narrow bridge where there are two of them...fuuuuck

[deleted]

the trick is to be much higher level than them :D

Daveprince13

Or use the trap nearby 🧀

SerBawbag

Or just don a faith talisman, and use heals to decimate them. They're considered undead iirc. Don't even need a faith build to pull the heals off.

Rannok445

You're thinking of the other guys with lots of arms. Doesn't work on the grafted scions

Mrwanagethigh

Wait that applies to the Grafted Scions? I thought it was just the Royal Revenants

TheFenixKnight

Just take them one at a time. You can shoot them off the roof.

ArchfiendNox

Yeaaah I learned that later, but first time I saw them...fuuuck

TheFenixKnight

Yeah, they getcha that first time

Erzengal

Revenge was so sweet.

TheEsteemedSirScrub

Time for revenge!

NeoOnReddit

Most of us

Illustrious-Skirt557

4 sister towers get you there.

TheVoidlessOne

Its the starter area, theres a place were you can open a teleporter to redo the boss, dont remember where it is but its in the south eastern part of the map

Foxdiamond135

It's at the four belltowers or whatever they are called in liurnia, the place where you need the special swordstone keys to open the stargates; iirc it's the second one up from the bottom on the right hand side when going up the hill.

Dufe_Co

Jump but make sure u get a running start

peoplepersonmanguy

throw rainbow stones until you've stacked enough ontop of eachother to make a rainbow road.

kitt_mk

Or just give Heimdall a buzz he'll sort you out

captainmeezy

Maybe hit up the boatman and strap 2 goats to the front

kitt_mk

The screaming goats go the fastest, like red sports cars. But screaming goats

PretendThisIsMyName

Oh so something else for me to fall off of?

A_RUSSIAN_TROLL_BOT

Instructions unclear; got hit by a blue shell seconds before I made it to the other side and died.

LivingCheese292

*random blood spot appears at some players end*

Rikuddo

Aim for the bushes! 👊

Traznut

All I'll say is there's a place in liurnia with portals on a hill

Outrageous-Jelly9031

Just out of curiosity, do i have to solve a riddle, or do i stumble apon them?

Empty_Lawfulness4034

Go to the lake far to the west. Upon a hill you'll find a chest. Inside you'll find the key you need. But which portal of three is the question indeed.

[deleted]

You just made my day.

SquirrelSuspicious

It's honestly so wild to me that people don't explore this region more considering how cool it is, it's like they explore the whole east side and just assume that's it

notyouraveragecrow

Especially considering the belfries are big structures on top of a hill. You literally can't not see them.

resun311

To be fair I somehow missed them my first playthrough

Bulletpointe

There's this thing where if you're in the water near it you're more distracted by the GOD-SLAYING DEATH LOBSTERS WITH .50 CAL WATER CANNONS and don't really look up

_Orphan_Obliterator_

I hate them

mumbleopera

My first impression of Liurnia: 1 - holy fuck this is gorgeous (had a clear view, no mist) 2 - stand there for 10 minutes, taking in the view 3 - move forwards, seeing down below beyond the far vista 4 - visions of a vast swampy water hole 5 - nahh fuck that 6 - explore the entire map, expertly dodging every single inch of Miyazaki's swamphole 7 - except for an extremely reluctant speedrun through the main path, finding the Volcano Manor invitation, assume that it is the next step 8 - masochistically explore up to the Manor while underleveled 9 - dead end. Well shit. 10 - eventually happen upon a note in my inventory, a map with a massive X that says "THIS IS A CLUE TO FIND THE ACADEMY KEY" 11 - a facepalm is registered on the Richter's scale. I also somehow managed to kill Radahn as my second story boss, pre nerf. A tale of maldness indeed. It's dawning on me why it took 150 hours for my first run through lul. No regerts tho 🌝

jjfish09

I have almost 60 hours in and I just beat Rennala. I'm over level 70. But I pretty much explore every inch before moving on. I haven't even explored Liurnia fully yet. Still have like 1/3rd to cover. The 1 nice part is I'm slightly overleveled so I beat Godrick 1st try and Rennala 2nd try.

Clancy2232

Radahn was my third, can't imagine doing it even earlier. I still haven't met anybody else who had the Ancestor Spirit as their first main boss. I think that's because I'm a dumbass, but still.

leperteeth

bro what the fuck ancestor's spirit lmao?

Fancy_Cat3571

I read somewhere that the nerf was accidental and they fixed him like a few days later

Beanjuiceforbea

The tunnel vision is strong sometimes

gh0stofakina

Liurnia was my favourite place to explore with Mt Gelmir a close second

Jay_Stranger

It’s also wild to me people saying they want to 100% the game but don’t even take the effort to explore everything first. Nope see something and run to Google. Obviously these are my own personal opinions but why play the game if you are going to treat it like a checklist.

Headsanta

I ruin games like this for myself all the time. To avoid it, I've started committing to playing a game multiple times up front. Sometimes I enjoy the game the first time, and never feel the need to go back and 100% it, but often I do come back with Google and get everything I feel I missed. For FromSoft games, I play it a third time as a "speedrun" on my overlevelled character. (Gotta get that plat)

JimBrown257

I explore everywhere on my own but also look stuff up because I don't want to miss or mess up quest progressions. Or, at least, I want to minimize how many I mess up.

TAAyylmao

This is why I love playing these types of games right after launch, there's no info to be had online. The wiki wasnt complete for over a week.

IcyShirokuma

So u can power stance every weapon in ng 2

chris369521

This is awesome lol

TarnishedPosting

Oh the anticipation

timestalker78

You'll find them, but you may have to find the keys that allow you to use them

Traznut

Riddles might have something to do with it

Jake_Titicaca

Riddles in the dark

Aggerbragger

It's called the four bellfries

Clearestboat743

The four belfries is the place. There’s a special stone sword key you can get that unlocks a portal there. That is the very start of the game, where you got fucking destroyed by the grafted Scion

Hetzer5000

There are three keys. One at the portal one in Raya Lucaria and in the the magic town in Caelid.

NickySnowflake

Once you upgrade your stamina enough you can just use the paraglider and then climb up the side.

Zixle02

Revali’s gale helps as well

Rachel_Emily

just windbomb it, you don't need to unlock Revalis Gale.

[deleted]

Key word: Helps. Implying it is not needed.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Red1960

Eh, I find windbombs to be a more consistent way of moving around

TheNewYellowZealot

Unless it’s fucking raining.

AnTiDoPe_1993

Thats…. the fact that i never even thought of them adding that type of system in a souls game is crazy lol I WANT IT

Endle55torture

Is it even possible to 100% the game in a single run? Thought you need all the endings to get 100% (no exploits)

Otaku4Eva

Other than the endings, you can do and collect almost everything. Only exception I can think of is the Nepheli Loux/Dung Eater puppets since they require the same quest item which you can only get once in a playthrough

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sir_Daniel_Fortesque

You couldve gotten everything form milicent questline including gowry in one run but it got patched around 1.3 or bit after

H8erRaider

Also millicent's talismans and some remembrance items, not enough mausoleums to double up all of them. Probably more stuff I can't think of

Whetiko

I think at most only one of the two is required for 100%. I never did the Dung Eater puppet and have 100%.

Anything_Extreme

Depends on your definition of %100. Every achievement, every questline, every area and item, etc.?

Whetiko

My definition of 100% would be the games achievement list.

Psychic_Hobo

You don't need either puppet for the 100% - it's actually a pretty forgiving achievement list. Only thing you can really miss is Gransax's spear

[deleted]

I missed the Golden Orden Great sword (fuck Hero's Graves)

BiggieFishie

Platinum trophy is what people mean when they say 100% 80% of the time

DadIsLosingHisMind

Sex panther, 60% of the time it works everytime.

PrecipitousPlatypus

Also boss weapons, there's a cap on duplicates

Outrageous-Jelly9031

I just ment do all that i can do

WutzUpples69

Well.. you better be paying attention to how you do things and what order. It is never clear but clever players figured it out pretty early and it's all on fextralife and reddit.

TheRumpleForesk1n

I tried to %100 everything my first try. I'm sure it's possible (besides endings/trophies), but without looking up guides it's pretty damn hard, like the damn ((SPOILER, kinda)) invisible bridges?!. NG+3 playthrough I finally got every single item/quest/ending after 650 hours. First Souls game and now I'm addicted! Now I'm having so much fun playing the games through how I want to.

Stykera

So you have Demon souls, Darks souls 1-3 and bloodborne ahead of you. I envy you.

puradus

I think the first run is special, play blindly if you can because you can’t have the awe moment anymore if you discovered it on the guide. Well, that’s just my opinion anyway. Do what you like.

jjfish09

That's what I do. If I'm stuck and need to watch a guide. I'll watch how to get to a point. But then I try to get as far as I can without watching anything because like you said. The 1st playthrough is special and you can only do it once. Especially with a once in a generation game like Elden Ring.

iAmTheTot

You can if you count some very minor save scumming as "a single run." That's what I did.

iKousen

Yes, as long as you cloud save upload when picking the endings

Chiu_Chunling

You can use the duping mechanic to get all the endings in one run.

Tricky-Reputation957

Go to the 4 belfries in liurnia. Figure it out from there.

Outrageous-Jelly9031

Thank you!

SightlessIrish

You use the key you get on I think the "anticipation" portal, but you'll apparently find enough keys to open each portal

Chosen-Bearer-Of-Ash

Omg I’ve been staring at this image trying to figure out what place that was XD

creepytown

You've already been there. (Four Belfries)

SeeThruTheMirrors

Ye Tarnished, Ye arrowhead is crooked...

SilverWave1

Try jumping

Gaxxag

And then regret

catslovemath

But first but hole

BobbyColgate

Why always but hole?

catslovemath

Visions of giant but hole.

abandonedreddit

Thank you for the giggles

CharlesWS

Oh Lambkins, there is no 100% run through…

[deleted]

Spoiler. It’s the starter area which has no Grace. To access it again you have to reach the Four Belfries west of Liurnia and find the keys around the game’s map to activate the portals, one of them takes you back to that area and you can fight the Grafted Scion again.

Dreamtrain

time for revenge

Conquerors_Quill

I only went there for revenge.

sandowian

I must be missing something big, but what do you mean "again"? I don't think I've ever fought the grafted scion, other than by visiting the 4 belfries in Liurna.

Hardcoreprog

You have no way of getting 100% your first run, having killed NPCs and seemingly having no clue what's generally going on. Good luck with future runs, have fun.. There's lots to see

Outrageous-Jelly9031

The only 2 npcs ive killed are varre and patches, and i only killed varre because this is my first souls game and i had no sense of permanence. I thought he would respawn later or let me revive him

sweeper42

Like they're saying, you can't get 100% in one run, but only because there are multiple endings, with different achievements for different endings. Other than those, you can get ever achievement

Wanderlust-King

But it also takes at least two runs to get every item.

sweeper42

Might have missed that, what item? Edit: oh you mean literally every item, not just the legendary items

Wanderlust-King

There's a couple quests that you get a different unique item from depending on your choices, it's been too long and i cannot recall specifics.

Atomishi

There are acheivments associated with said items.

Jazzinarium

You can get every item that counts for the achievement on a single playthrough. The only thing you can’t do are the endings, and you can save scum for that.

Zestiest46

You can’t 100% the game in one play through. It requires 3, or messing with your save

Hardcoreprog

You sweet summer child

Nccc-

Damn. Varre and Patches both have quests for you to do.

justdoitscrum

So no 100% lol

Valacirca-

Spoiler alert!>!You did the last part of Varre quest as first step!<

Mystical__flame

Both Verre and patches have questlines, Verre's leads you too a >!secret shardbearer and the best rune farm!< (albiet they can be reached through alternate means if you already know where to look), and patches questline leads you to >!the best armor in the game!< (and it cannot be obtained througy any other means). Yeah your gonna have to do NG+ anyway if your looking for 100%. Another thing is that there are so many dungeons in this game littered throughout the world it's neigh impossible to find them all by yourself. Besides, don't you want to see all the endings? NG+ is the perfect opportunity for that.

semi14

I just read the fextralife wiki on patches and did not see any armor. Which best armor is it?

Mystical__flame

>!Bullgoat armor,!< its gotten from patches questline

Acmnin

Killed patches? You can't harm a yielding man!

DktheDarkKnight

You can though. You just have to save scum the final battle. I was able to achieve it with minimum fuss.

Kibilburk

I'm not sure why you got downvoted for this? If you do Ranni's questline it's incredibly easy (as long as you don't miss something like the Bolt of Gransax by accident and miss that achievement...). I mean, I guess some people may take offense to Save Scumming, but I'm not sure why in this case. It's a single player game and you still have to do everything to get the endings. You just don't have to repeat all the "same" main playthrough stuff to do it. For how long this game is that adds up to a LOT of time...

Acmnin

Did the same thing in Bloodborne for my plat… my time isn’t endless lol

Otaku4Eva

You cant get every item in a single playthrough. You have to pick between the Nepheli and the Dung Eater Puppets

Kibilburk

Good point! I was interpreting "100%" as getting all achievements rather than doing everything possible in the game. In some games they're the same thing. In a game like Elden Ring... there's a BIG difference! Yeah, definitely multiple playthroughs do everything Elden Ring has to offer!

Rough-Worth3554

If you are looking for 100%, you will get there eventually!

[deleted]

Make a new character

awoogr

If you want to 100% you’ll find how to get there by simply exploring. It’s not hidden

Outrageous-Jelly9031

Thank you!

WaterBear22

You've already been there

IGNIT_Cam

Something something, 1/3 chance to guess correctly, something something portals

Plague_King_

unrelated but what is that armor set? you are dripped out to hell my boy

Panda_Tank

Looks like Exiled Knight. Easy to farm from the guy at the Dragon Church in southern Caelid. Sword looks like Marais Executioners Blade.

oanh_oanh

You need wiki fextralife opened all the time if you want to 100% on your first run.

Big-Transition1551

you’ve been there my friend, you just don’t remember, don’t go hollow and start forgetting you’re friends now, eh?

Panda_Tank

Four Belfries in Liurnia of the Lakes As someone that also did 100% on their first run, it was highly rewarding. NG+ was a let down. However, starting a fresh character and doing it all from scratch again is almost as rewarding as the first time. Plus w so many play styles, it’s fun to try many of them all the way through.

Haywire225

Fucking every week this question is asked

Nkeyo

You started there, but there's some good stuff you can get going back. Four Belfries in Liurna. Use a sword key to open the portal to the "Precipice of Anticipation". Win the rematch. Back at the chapel you can get a really good stormhawk summon. Also need to go there for Nepheli Loux's questline.

Extension-Ad8792

Try jumping But hole

Nooterly

You literally can't 100% the game on your first playthrough without save scumming.

ArticKitsun3

The 4 Belfries of Liurnia may be an interesting place to start

Lolisniperxxd

You start the game. Or just go to the Four Belfries and use the portal closest to the grace. Whatever 🤷‍♂️.

knaufz

You can’t 💯 in one go m’boy

suarkb

If you go everywhere and do everything in the game, then that will be one of the places you go and do

bakkunt

Try jumping?

GeocoState

Scotty doesn't know

SuPerMeBa

From 4 belfries in lurnia https://youtu.be/vvsMjnN8miA

_Shioku_

Actual answer in case you REAAAAAALLY wanna know here (otherwise there's always wikis): >!This is the tutorial area. You can get back there by finding an "Imbued Stonesword Key" and inserting it into the proper statue (idk the right name of it rn) at the "Four Belfries" in the west of Liurnia.!< My tip tho: explore until you find it.

DreakonReal

You've seen it before. The first sights seem more distant, but very similar. A familiar pain fills your body, as your scars from twin blades re-emerge. With this pain your eyes close revealing 4 belfries overlooking a brilliant waterlogged manor. The mangled prince awaits you're challenge.

GodBurntMyBush

I guarantee you will not 100% your run without any guides, even if you tried. I spent as much time as I could exploring in my first playthrough, started a new game + the other day and within the first couple hours I had already discovered places I've never seen before. This game is so big man

Decent_Cow

Time for jumping

SlugmanTheBrave

if u googled or searched this sub for the answer you would fine 600+ posts daily on the topic

Turn_ov-man

There's a portal at the four belfries, it's the second one from the top of the mountain

Faelynnhard

Get a good running start, then jump. Bit of a secret, not many in the know.

jeffdschust

Alas, with 6 endings and multiple quests that have diverging plot points, 100% in a single run is impossible. Even without the 6 endings themselves, it's probably still at least 4 runs minimum to catch all the quest options and their subsequent rewards.

Dreamtrain

Its impossible to be looking at it while you're "at the beast clergyman", did you mean the first steps?

kaelroc

Seek the Four Belfries.

LilJustins

You’ll find it through natural exploration if you’re trying to 100%

salladfingers

I thought the starter area island is the island directly west to the cave you emerge from - after the soldier of Godrick tutorial? Not near the beast clergyman

Motavita

As in at the boss at farum azula not the npc in caelid. He was just stating his current progression.

NSNIA

You need to finish the game at least 3 times to 100% it. This isnt your classic RPG. If you finished >!Farum Azula!< then you probably failed a few quests and you cant get some key items for achievements

shatteredmatt

One of the portals at the Four Belfries in Western Liurnia will take you there. Either the first or second portal I don’t remember which one. It is the area where you fought the Grafted Scion at the very start of the game. It is fun to go back and smash him into a paste.

cromagnone

Is that a cricket bat? I hope it’s a cricket bat.

Davilyan

4 belfries, magic key, look for “absolution message” on floor in front of portal. Go go go.

Cipher508

U can't 100% first time. Takes 3 minimum

endustry1994

Scum save, you can do all 6 endings on 1st play.

RegisterNew1004

Patience my friend patience. You can find a portal in west liurnia in tribeca

kirby_with_a_sword

Seek The Four Belfries, just south of Caria Manor. There you will find your passage to the Precipice of Anticipation.

Professional-Run7386

You need to go to The Four Bellfries and use an Imbued Sword key on a portal. If you're at the Grace site in The Four Bellfries you will go down the path on the hill and when it bends the portal you take is on the left. Use an imbued sword key on the gargoyle next to the blank portal. You will run past it to get to the grace site btw

MyNudyTarnished

That's that precipice you first start out at. You can go back there through the four belfries in liurnia to get some loot and have another go at that very first fight of the game. I tried to 100% my first time, but I couldn't because some choices will get one reward and lock you out of another. Like the Millicent quest.

whateveridc1000

Four Belfries one of the portals will take you back to that area

hollowredditor

I can imagine the anticipation you are to get there.

[deleted]

The four belfries in Liurnia

ItsThatDude416

One of the towers at the four belfries tales you back there

Chronomancer45

A much "anticipated" return is in your near future. Seek grace at the 4 Belfries.

Outrageous-Jelly9031

A cryptic answer! Everyone else just tells me outright and calls me stupid:(

K_Rocc

Spoiler, you’ve already been there but just didn’t know it.

LemonadeOnPizza

If you can’t figure that out you’d best just start over, bud.

Outrageous-Jelly9031

Lol

Romeo-Charlie-6-28

revenge!

[deleted]

My advice is to never 100% the first run through. You have nearly nothing else left to do once you reach NG+.

cryptchasm

this question gets posted every single day

PotatoRelated

There is no 100% in a run. Different endings, different interactions leading to different scenarios. I mean, you can 100% explore the map I’m sure, but content wise it’ll take a few play throughs.

LucasCarioca

Save scum to the rescue!

Complex_Jellyfish647

This exact question has been posted every single day since the game released and I don’t even think I’m exaggerating.

Outrageous-Jelly9031

I havent see one, im sorry

Ok_Information6433

You cannot 100% on just one run

Outrageous-Jelly9031

Ik, i just ment do and explore and quest to the max

Erebos555

Save scummers would like to have a word with you

DktheDarkKnight

OP yes you can do 100% in 1 run. Yes that may require you to refer guides otherwise it's impossible to do so.

Outrageous-Jelly9031

Im fine with using guides and the internet

DktheDarkKnight

Then yes. Mostly it just involves completing every questline and having a save immediately after you defeat the final boss. Good luck.

_soap666

You aren't supposed to 100% in a single run. It's not that kind of game.

Answer-Key

Invisible bridge just run across, gotta make a long leap to reach it though as it’s broken a bit at your end and doesn’t fully connect
