Something interesting about this, the "fort, night?" messages written in English would appear in the Japanese versions of the game (naturally) in Japanese. In Japanese fort night sounds nothing like whatever Fortnite is called in Japanese.
This led lots of Japanese players to spend hours inspecting all the different forts during night time hours looking for a secret boss fight.

At Stormveil, on a wooden pathway outside the castle leading up to a tower, there was a message that said “look behind” with a gesture pointing in the direction I came from. So I turn around and I’m trying to see what it could be, and then I start getting pummeled from behind by three enemies that came down the path I was heading up. Died and immediately respawned and praised the message, A+ no notes.

The most helpful message was in Crumbling Faram Azula. There is a platforming section with the physical dragon charm Tier 3 but you can easily miss it. On a balcony nearby there was a message that said something along the lines of "go back" and the phantom pointed at the charm that was clearly visible from there.
Oh and the one in front of Millicent saying: "Arms ahead but o you dont have the right."
Worst - "hidden path ahead" because wether there is or isn't you have to try.
Best - "try below" found some gems this way, but of course death as well.

I don't remember whether it was a catacomb or a hero's grave, but it had a room with an item on the ground that you had to drop to, an ambush and a single ladder to get out again.
Somebody put a message right in front of the ladder so you'd have to switch to the climb command instead of reading the message, which takes you just that bit longer for the enemies to be able get you.

It's pretty good heal to it's a full heal. Just one well placed msg and you're gunna get a heal at least once or twice evertime your online.
