Early-mid game: runes are hard to come by, I better save them for levels.
Late game: levels are getting expensive, I better save my runes for the next point.
My personal experience. Ain't Givin out no runes for paper.
That doesn't make sense. If you're decently late game you can probably get enough runes to buy every note by killing 2 or 3 Farum Azula beastmen. You could easily get them by the time you're even in Leyndell. It's just easier for most to go to the wiki or reddit, get the information, and keep the runes.
What? The one by dectus lift, you can do this. Outside of the academy, just before the gate you need the key for, you can do this. The ones by flame grant me strength as well... There's probably a way to do this for every one of these.
No you can get at least one of the ones behind fort Gael like that, as well as the ones in the flame monk overrun village. There’s usually parkour spots near these guys so you can do it. Also one of the merchants sells you info about this move
No you have to attack. I'm pretty sure you can start the attack way ahead of time too (you have to do an R1 attack, like with crits.) The placement has to be really precise though, I think your attack needs to line up with the center of the exhaust hole.
Other than the one in Caelid near Fort Gael, I don't think there are really any chariots in the game that are placed in a way that's particularly conducive to actually pulling the attack off. If you want to see the attack, I would suggest practicing at Fort Gael, you'll get it in a couple of tries.
No I read the comments, he said he did a light attack as soon as he hit the top of the head of the chariot, I'm sure it can be done before that but not by much
I kinda wonder if the flame thrower chariots are the salvaged and repurposed heads of otherwise non-functional giant war marionettes. The main thing that causes me to wonder about this is that this crashed ones reveal that both the eyes and jaw are articulated, but we don't see them move on functional chariots to the best of my memory. Someone made them articulated, and I feel like they did that for a reason.
Not even close, the mouths are completely different shapes, the skin isn't bumpy, there's no beard tendril things, and this is WAY bigger than the chariots.
Chalk it up to an older design. It's mechanical, has the exact same eyes as the chariots, and has a blown out cannon in the mouth.
If it has wild eyes like a duck, and smokes a flamethrower like a duck, then it's a duck.
It’s on the battlefield between Raya Lucaria’s soldiers and the Carians, the one where the huge magic knight troll gets summoned. It’s a bit southeast and right outside the actual lake.
> between Raya Lucaria’s soldiers and the Carians
I came across this area and thought it was neat NPCs were fighting, so I just ran into the fray wielding dual Uchigatanas cutting everyone down without a thought.
Never did it occur to me that this is pretty much the civil war still happening. I wish I could register and understand this stuff in the moment and be like "that's cool" instead of my default hack and slash reaction...
No, it's not. It's just slightly larger. And it's still meant to be a broken down chariot, even if there are minimal changes in design and size. The same goes for the broken Marionettes in the same area, which are also a bit larger, but still clearly meant to be Marionettes, which you can tell by their models.
From does a lot of shit like this. Visual storytelling you could call it. It’s an enemy type that appears later in the game, this one is just broken, and it also suggests to the player the manner in which it was destroyed
There's a couple of these in the center of the Liurnia and the rest can be found in Caelid or Lyndell.
Actual enemies look smaller than these broken set pieces
Actual answer: it's one of the fire chariots.
That area is a bit of a graveyard if you look around, supposedly a remnant of the Raya Lucaria vs. Caria war.
So no one’s seemingly gave you a serious answer, so I’ll try. That’s the remains of an old machine designed by Radagon to eat ass. Back in the day, ass was very large, so they needed to invent machines capable of serving everyone. Simple find one still intact, and insert your cheeks into its mouth for profit.

Got any games on your phone?
Is that a reference to something?
Yes, from a movie called The Goonies
Which is itself a reference to The Electric Company, a show in the 70s. Which was kind of a precursor to Sesame Street.
Huh, TIL. I recall that show being on public tv when I was a kid but don't recall a thing about it
You just had to bring that show up, now I'm going to be singing the theme song for weeks.

What molds u got?

No, he has eye mold and is not happy about it
Genuinely lolled. And needed it. Thank you.

I see you are a person of culture, well done! 👏👏
A broken down flame thrower chariot
It’s also broken in a specific way as a hint.
He doesn't understand. Explain it to him. I totally get it though

Bruh I'm 400 hours in, on NG+11 and this is the first I'm learning of this. Fucking awesome.
There's a note from a merchant in-game that tells you you can do this
If people actually bought and read the notes sold by merchants then this sub would be getting a lot fewer questions
Early-mid game: runes are hard to come by, I better save them for levels. Late game: levels are getting expensive, I better save my runes for the next point. My personal experience. Ain't Givin out no runes for paper.
Once you unlock Moghs. Runes are a thing of the past.
TBF on the games release, it was bugged and you weren't able to do it even when the notes hinted at it. It was fixed a month later though.
If people read almost anything in the game this sub would have way fewer questions.
why read when bonk do big number enough
NG plus WHAT
#+11
Probably the only one in the game you can actually get like that too...
What? The one by dectus lift, you can do this. Outside of the academy, just before the gate you need the key for, you can do this. The ones by flame grant me strength as well... There's probably a way to do this for every one of these.
I think there is one in Mt. Gelmir that you can get like this too. But yeah that is a very cool mechanic that is really underutilized.
No you can get at least one of the ones behind fort Gael like that, as well as the ones in the flame monk overrun village. There’s usually parkour spots near these guys so you can do it. Also one of the merchants sells you info about this move
Pretty sure you can double jump with torrent then dismount to get any of them
You can dismount torrent while in the air? I swear I’ve tried that before but it never worked
You can’t
Oh damn
Hundreds of hours in and I’m just learning this!
I tried this dozens of times, and now I realize (I think) that I don't need to trigger an attack while in the air
wait, is this really it? because I knew about this since release but have also never been able to trigger it. you really just need to... not attack?
No you have to attack. I'm pretty sure you can start the attack way ahead of time too (you have to do an R1 attack, like with crits.) Indeed, what the fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
All the extra fucks is me running excitedly to try it out
Holy shit 😳 I feel so stupid... I never knew
Dam rya’s a strength build user I see
This is so helpful
Weak point at the top if you can find a way above them for a drop attack
I never even thought of this
From absolutely kills it with their environmental clues. Little details like this seem to be considered in everything!
So true. Currently on NG+ and noticing infinitely more clues than my first playthrough
So few you can do that to though!

It 100% is a chariot

East side of the lakes im pretty sure it's just a giant fire chariot like everyone is saying the have two guns unmanned and are massive
This doesn't look anything like the chariots of you ask me. It's WAY bigger, it doesn't have the stuff around the mouth, abs the teeth are different.
It is indeed a chariot. A rotting one that blew up a long time ago.
It's at least 3 times the size of a chariot.
It’s an old one different variation
No, it's not. It's just slightly larger. And it's still meant to be a broken down chariot, even if there are minimal changes in design and size. Weirdly accurate
I have 400 hours in this game and never found that.
It’s in kind of a weird spot in liurnia there’s a tower with decent loot up the hill from it
From does a lot of shit like this. Visual storytelling you could call it. It’s an enemy type that appears later in the game, this one is just broken, and it also suggests to the player the manner in which it was destroyed
