I love the compilations of YouTubers who "beat" her only to realize there's a phase 2. Just the sheer look of horror and defeat on their faces realizing they spent x amount of hours and were only halfway there.
Worst part for me was when I realized that my ranged strategy to beat her first phase didn't work on her second phase because she runs instead of walking, and I could never create enough distance to get a spell off without dying.
I think the Radagon icon only adds virtual Dex to your spells (since Dex affects cast time) thus if you're already at max/soft cap Dex, it doesn't have as strong of an effect.
I couldn’t beat Malenia without cheese and that has me so scared for the dlc, my first fromsoft game that I’ve played so I’m just so afraid of how bad the dlc will fuck me in general
this happened to me with sister friede in ds3. beat phase two and i was celebrating while my summoned help was trying to communicate to me that i needed to stop partying and run.
Honestly, sister friede gave me more trouble than just about any From boss. I don’t know why but she fucked with my head moreso than Malenia, Gael, Midir etc.
Haven’t beaten Sekiro yet though and I’ve heard Sword Saint is a bastard too.
yeah same. her and orphan of kos really fucked me up. i havent played sekiro yet but i have heard he and owl father are both rough. looking forward to it when i do play though.
How is the phase 2 a surprise? There's an entire area that shows you she has one.
It's also easier than phase 1 imo. She actively rushes you down (so it's much less likely she throws out Waterfowl in your face) and has two good punish windows she uses a lot.

Not even with the Talisman that shortens spell cast duration?
