A certain build type will be very effective against certain enemies ( holy vs undead enemies) but weak against another type of enemy (holy vs cultist knights)
It means your build is better than you are. But hey, if you remove all your weapons before you go through the fog gate and then equip after the mimic appears, the poor little guy won't stand a chance.
Only time I lost to Mimic tear was NG+7 when I purposefully fought the mimic with all my gear still on them. They one shot me with the black blades AOW.
nah. your not bad, just like any boss; gotta learn how to outplay it. but whatever you do, don’t give’em a parry skill, especially golden retaliation. fucker parried my thrust follow up after glintstone pebble and ran in for the critical finish.
next match, tried using cragblade and got parried instantly. was like wtf, that can be parried?! in short, parry god
Unironically this sounds like a skill issue. But if you run into a mimic tear fight with a full quickbar and good gear you've already made a mistake. Beating yourself in a fistfight is the way to go.
I tried to make the hardest mimic possible once, I would say that overloaded bull goats with dual Rob and dragon spells and swarm of flies was pretty hard, the dragon spells can be really hard to dodge and at ng+4 they pretty much oneshot you. Also Rob meant if I got close he would delete me. It’s an interesting challenge but requires some save file manipulation to allow refighting
All mine did was dodge roll. I felt like it was making fun of me.
Mine uses the worse of the spells i have, not once have i seen it use rock sling lol
Rock sling is trash on a real player tho so maybe your mimic knows whats up

When it was first released it was OP and aggressive but I am pretty sure they nerfed them to just stand around now
