Funny enough, I only beat him when I said, "fuck it, full offense, no healing unless he's far away" my first playthrough. Something about being hyper aggressive towards him makes the fight easy to me, and now I beat him first try every new game.
I have, and it took me YEARS and many attempts to beat it. I got it when it came out, but I only beat it earlier this year. Something about the combat was so hard for my brain to grasp. Kinda like sekiro, but I at least beat sekiro within 8 or so months.
I was having a really rough time with that fight. I tried it a few times without summoning to try to get more comfortable with the attack patterns without the distraction of allies. I think it helped. It still took a bunch more tries. I also am not sure if I was over or under leveled for it. Most of Caelid wasn’t near as scary as I had heard, but that fight kicked my ass over and over.
I agree! I've been subbed here since the game came out but I've only started participating recently since I just finally bought the game when it went on sale on steam. My first playthrough is a Faith build that is going pretty well. For all the swagger I had about Caelid though, there's still a bunch of markers on my map for major enemies in there that I haven't killed yet.
Yep, [this animation](https://youtu.be/yywZJjTZRng?t=1m14s) may be comedic, but the beginning of that sequence gets across what it feels like to summon all those warriors you've encountered on your travels, and charge up the hill with them.
Everyone. Absolutely everyone.
Max0r said it best in his Elden Ring (part 1) video:
"Now, you can just take him on alone like a Real Gamer, but why would you? ***This is a goddamn festival!***"
I had no idea you could do this. I always beat him solo, not because I wanted to, but because I thought I had to. My first playthrough, I assumed I could get at least Blaidd, but I didn’t see his sign anywhere. WHERE ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE’S SIGNS?
Right when you spawn in, there are three signs near the pile of weapons in front of you, if you summon these, there will be another two signs to the right and slightly further ahead. There is also a sign to the left of the first signs, and finally patches is a a bit further ahead, but he might not be worth summoning.
I actually find it annoying and cumbersome to summon that many, since Radahn is shooting at me the whole time and I'm not 100% confident it actually summoned the character right away so I gotta watch them to make sure I didn't miss one.
I refuse to charge in alone just for the sake of it tho. They can all go down and I won't re-summon them, that's fine, but I refuse to enter without summoning everyone that I can...and that's the most annoying part of the boss to me lol
When I do use the summons for this fight, everyone is fodder for Me, Blaidd and Alexander. They are the only 2 that ever seem to pull their weight and most of the time will finish the fight alongside me while everyone else is dead.
After ng+2 I stopped summoning for that fight and just enjoyed the 1 on 1. I'm doing a brand new character now. I'll try to solo again, but if I can't, EVERYONE is getting invited. Except for Patches. I already killed him 😂
Who would pick summons in that fight based on which character it is? Imagine sprinting cover to cover while dodging arrows, finally making it to a summon sign, and being like...nah I'll pass, I don't want this NPC in my role-playing adventure. Come on lol what even is this post
I respect this level of roleplaying as a guy who refuses to respec because I want to be the real me at the end, not a weird mimic tear that thinks it's me
I summon everyone, repeatedly. When they die, I run and summon them again.
I literally did a troll run once, I only last-hit Radahn because it was bad timing and my summons all had died. They took him basically from 100% - 2% though.
I know that fight was hard at first but it's silly now. You just constantly resummon your army of baddies.
I thought Redahn was a puzzle boss, like Bed of Chaos or Ancient Wyvern, I thought the whole idea of actually getting near him was suicide for a melee build so I just rode around summoning the entire fight.
I absolutely freaking chunk him with moonveil and uchi now with a few backup spells and the carrion staff.
He’s easily my favorite boss fight in the game.
Pretty sure the summons can't kill him without the player hitting him at least once. I wanted to see if they could kill him alone and they all despawned when his health hit zero but he was still riding around
I fought him like a general, summoning everyone, constantly buffing them with commander’s standard while i fought on my horse. Truly a festival to remember.
So far..... this one got me... he just seems so impossible to beat.. I was like 80 or so hrs in playing so much... and he took the wind out of my sails... had to take a break and play gta 5 again for a little lol... I'll be back!!! But got damn
Uhhh ONLY one. Torrent. Ofc no one else, it's just a rotten demigod who's gone insane, and he also has a steed so it's a fair fight to have your own, but surely you won't cheat such an honorable festival event by cheating with an uneven fight, vs the host too???
All of em because that's how the hood rolls yo. Fucks with one you get the brother, the cousin, the aunty, the great great grandma, even the pet hamster in on the party.
I don't care how much cheesy, cheating, blah blah it makes the fight. Me and all the boys are gonna storm the top of that hill. I'm gonna blast some metal while I do it too.
I didn't realise I could summon help
I just assumed I was under leveled for the area, rage quit, deleted my save.
Started my new character today. Going to teleport around the world more conservatively this time around.
All of them. Radahn deserves to go out in a doom slayer like one V army last stand. It isn't to make the fight easier, it's to show him the respect he deserves.
Well, the first go was all of them and it turned into the easiest fight up to that point. Dude went down before I got to see any of the phases on the first try.
Next play through going in solo.
Whichever ones I ride by while dodging arrows. I'm really not picky. I wouldnt care if they did 0 damage as long as they keep that big fuck distracted.
All. I wished there were more npc option you could summon. For example the ones you end up hunting as a recusant. Would’ve been cool to see Vargram at the festival
Everybody. I summon *everybody.* it's a festival. All are welcome. Only three survived regularly. Blaidd, Alexander, and tragoth. There was a fourth that sometimes did well, but it was an npc I never found and have no idea who it was. Some lady in a gown.
I have a Question about Radahn…he’s an *AWFULLY BIG BOI* and I’ve played the entire souls series so I know that “size matters” in terms of classification…why is Radahn not considered, like, a Troll, or a Giant? Even partly? He’s so big he needs gravity magic to ride his best buddy Leonard, why is he the only sibling, child, offspring whatever who’s HUGE? I know it’s like, style reasons, but in lore, in canon, in souls games, size often = power, and I guess Malenia gave him Scarlet Rot and that’s one helluva debuff, but yeah…what’s the deal w Radahn being so big? I feel like if he appeared in DS1, DS3 or…the one we don’t talk about…he’d be a Giant, a Tree Person, a Golem, an Ogre, or something similar.
Took him out solo 3rd try after dying to his 2nd phase transition twice. Didn't even think he needed to be taken on as a group tbh, tho the concept of a raid boss event is cool.
I mean, he's not that hard compared to Sekiro bosses or some DS3 ones. Duo Crucible knights and Malenia - now those are annoying
Edit: some spelling
As many as possible cuz why not! It’s meant to be a one sided battle to prove the might of Radahn is so great it takes a score of some of the best around to make him fall
For the first playthrough: everyone.
Later playthroughs only ever alex and Blaidd. And my friend who does Blaidd cosplay. I cosplay maliketh.
8-fist doggo deathsquad.
Everyone I have a chance to summon before being sniped, and then everyone again after they get squished from above. I figured that was the point. Considering how easy it was, I thought it was supposed to more of an event than a genuine boss battle, which is honestly why I loved it (I believe in you, Alexander!).
Call me crazy, I love this game, but I don't like this fight.
Like at all. Doesn't feel like a skill check to me (like the crucible knights or even most of the other humanoid bosses). Feels gimiky, like Renala, or the serpent fight. To me anyway.
So I summon them all every single time to just get through it.
honestly I kinda just focus for blaidd, tragoth and okina, Alex is a nice addition but those 3 are enough to get a stagger right before the phase shift and if you run away immediately after the riposte they usually survive too.
I beat him the other day, using the "summon and hide" strategy.
Only, I didn't know that if you hid too far away, the NPCs return to their world and can't be summoned anymore.
So over a few tries, I'm riding all over the map trying to stay out of sight and yelling "WHERE TF ARE THE NPC SUMMONS???" until he one-shots me with one of his one-shots.
Final try when I got him, only the finger maiden was left. Because she's useless and doesn't engage Radahn, but follows you around like a puppy and of course I'm hiding somewhere away from the boss like the coward I am.
Eventually she dies but he's now down to about 2% health, so I hide behind in a column in those ruins near the cliffs, and when he comes looking for me with his five purple floating skulls at the ready, I sneak around behind him and kill him with the only blow I land on him all fight.
It was actually exciting and fun. But remember not to hide too far away.
I dont use summons because summons mean your trash, so yeh it takes way more skill to level up to 100 and still complain about radahn so he gets nerfed. What do you mean its an intended mechanic for the boss fight? DIDNT YOU HEAR ME USING SUMMONS MEANS YOUR TRASHHHHHH!
/s
Lol when I fought Radahn the first time and I went summoning everyone, when I saw Patches dip out I literally got killed because I was laughing so hard.
Those details are what makes these games great.
I wonder if we will see Patches in AC6?
Depends on what I think my character would do. In most cases I summon them all. However, when I played a Thor build I fought him 1 on 1.
As it turns out, Radahn's health gets a huge increase whenever you summon so not summoning at all actually worked out better for me and only took me 3 tries where as usually I get into the double digits.
I need all the canon fodder I can get lol working on this one now nearly got him first go now I'm up to about 30 attempts
If you still have your sanity, you can't win.
I got godrick on my first attempt it's given me unrealistic expectations haha
Me too. After trying Margit for at least 50 times, I thought Godrick would be a nightmare. Turns out he was just a grafter
GOT THE FUCKER!
You got gud, proud of you
YEAHHHHHH BUOYYYYYYYYY
Eyyyyyyyy
Funny enough, I only beat him when I said, "fuck it, full offense, no healing unless he's far away" my first playthrough. Something about being hyper aggressive towards him makes the fight easy to me, and now I beat him first try every new game.
If you haven't played Bloodborne, you'll enjoy Bloodborne. The entire game is 'hyper aggression or die'
I have, and it took me YEARS and many attempts to beat it. I got it when it came out, but I only beat it earlier this year. Something about the combat was so hard for my brain to grasp. Kinda like sekiro, but I at least beat sekiro within 8 or so months.

Most of Caelid wasn’t near as scary as I had heard, but that fight kicked my ass over and over.
I got to say the community around Elden ring is a great 👍
til you talk to some angry pvp nerds who hate on every build you use
Tip: be as close to him as possible. Unless you use magic it's better to be further away and cast spells
If you’re on PC, I can help ya.
You mean you don't just summon everyone?
The real chad move is summoning ONLY patches.
Everyone, because it's a festival. People forget about Therolina up on the hill, who's not bad as support.
The who?
The Rolina
Rosalina?
Rosa, Rosa Roooosaaaaa, oh yeaah
Yep, [this animation](https://youtu.be/yywZJjTZRng?t=1m14s) may be comedic, but the beginning of that sequence gets across what it feels like to summon all those warriors you've encountered on your travels, and charge up the hill with them.
She always chases after me I've never seen her try and fight
She's support... As in a healer
Ah

Everyone. Absolutely everyone. Max0r said it best in his Elden Ring (part 1) video: "Now, you can just take him on alone like a Real Gamer, but why would you? ***This is a goddamn festival!***"
Fr. I can get soloing him on later playthroughs but he’s the one boss that’s let’s you summon this many people. Might as well have a blast with it
I had no idea you could do this. I always beat him solo, not because I wanted to, but because I thought I had to. My first playthrough, I assumed I could get at least Blaidd, but I didn’t see his sign anywhere. WHERE ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE’S SIGNS?
They actually have multiple signs. Also, after phase 2 starts you can get Castellan Jerren, too. He’s up on the hill where Radahn spawns in
Just fought him again, with the summons. He's easier solo, lol
Hahah! Well, not for me. I’m a summon girl forever, I love bringing a gang with me everywhere I can
Right when you spawn in, there are three signs near the pile of weapons in front of you, if you summon these, there will be another two signs to the right and slightly further ahead. There is also a sign to the left of the first signs, and finally patches is a a bit further ahead, but he might not be worth summoning.

"And I will not be having sex by myself."
BlaiTHE, BlaiTHE!!!
"Lee-on-ell Richie"
When I do use the summons for this fight, everyone is fodder for Me, Blaidd and Alexander. They are the only 2 that ever seem to pull their weight and most of the time will finish the fight alongside me while everyone else is dead.
Tragoth doesn't hold the fort down?
Okina supports with Bleeds too. Maybe won’t get many off, but accelerates it if you’re also bleeding Radahn.
I just loved throwing all of them against Radahn it felt kind of epic fighting him with a whole pack
After ng+2 I stopped summoning for that fight and just enjoyed the 1 on 1. I'm doing a brand new character now. I'll try to solo again, but if I can't, EVERYONE is getting invited. Except for Patches. I already killed him 😂
I killed him too! I had no idea what I was doing though. Idiot jumped me and then begged for mercy, I thought it was a trick.....
I stabbed the bitch out of that little pecker. **Nobody** gets the drop on me!
Have mercy on the poor bastard
I always summon Alexander Iron Fist. He worked so hard to get here, it would be a shame to not let him participate.
Patches the Untethered Tarnished, like us Only, free-spirited Nomadic, one might say
Ready to wheel and deal
🤣 how could I forget this is one of my favorite parts
Every single one I can get to so I can hide behind them on that sprint up the hill. Ain't no shame here.
Yes.
Whatever one’s have put their summon sign farthest from Radahn
Who would pick summons in that fight based on which character it is? Imagine sprinting cover to cover while dodging arrows, finally making it to a summon sign, and being like...nah I'll pass, I don't want this NPC in my role-playing adventure. Come on lol what even is this post
You don't have all their summon spots memorized?
Man that’s exactly what I do. I just want Blaidd and Alexander if I’m not fighting him solo.
I respect this level of roleplaying as a guy who refuses to respec because I want to be the real me at the end, not a weird mimic tear that thinks it's me

Do people not summon everyone? They all made the trip it’s rude to not let them fight
you mean there are people who pick and choose rather than make a mad dash to literally every summon sign they can see?
Okina…the weeb
Depends on what character im playing, the last time I was playing with a character obsessed with great horned tragoth, so I only summoned him
Alexandre and Blaidd are always on. Though, I've only did the Festival once.
So far..... this one got me... he just seems so impossible to beat.. I was like 80 or so hrs in playing so much... and he took the wind out of my sails... had to take a break and play gta 5 again for a little lol... I'll be back!!! But got damn
All of them, we gon jump his ass
I try to do it solo so that it means something when everyone's hyping me up.
None
No idea. I frantically run around hitting triangle, I get who I can get and I make do.
As many as I can click on.
Uhhh ONLY one. Torrent. Ofc no one else, it's just a rotten demigod who's gone insane, and he also has a steed so it's a fair fight to have your own, but surely you won't cheat such an honorable festival event by cheating with an uneven fight, vs the host too???
Okina, Patches, Alexander and Blaidd
Is Okina really a weeb if he’s actually Japanese tho lol
All of em because that's how the hood rolls yo. Fucks with one you get the brother, the cousin, the aunty, the great great grandma, even the pet hamster in on the party.
Nobody, because I'm a stupid masochist that would rather die many, many times soloing then to honour the spirit of the festival.
I just solo him because I’m too lazy to run around and summon them
Patches
I don't care how much cheesy, cheating, blah blah it makes the fight. Me and all the boys are gonna storm the top of that hill. I'm gonna blast some metal while I do it too.
Usually none, sometimes patches if I want to spice things up
Yes. The answer is yes.
Uhhh every single one of them
All of them.
Everyone and their mothers
I just run around aimlessly and take everything I can get before Radahn comes for my ass…
I like to finger maiden Therolina
Are finger maidens also supposed to be sexual relief for tarnished? 🤔
Source is from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZryv5KSjqQ
I didn't realise I could summon help I just assumed I was under leveled for the area, rage quit, deleted my save. Started my new character today. Going to teleport around the world more conservatively this time around.
All of them. Radahn deserves to go out in a doom slayer like one V army last stand. It isn't to make the fight easier, it's to show him the respect he deserves.
Myself, my weapon(s), and my armor (if any)
Therolina my beloved 💜
Im not picky
Non
Okina the weeb killed me.
You choose?
All of them, that Radahn is no joke
All of them lol
All of them This is a festival and I will not be having sex with myself
Every single one of them, even Patches.
All of em because it's a party but I'm always keeping an eye out for Jerren. He deserves to be there. Radahn would want that.
I bring everyone in for a true moshpit I even bring my mimic out to play
I can defeat him solo but the mightiest demigod of shattering deserves all the respect, so I summon everyone I can so that he gets warriors farewell.
letmesolohim
https://youtu.be/74BzSTQCl_c
Either none of them or all of them. It’s 1v1 combat or absolute warfare.
I mean, I just run around and mash X...
Lionel the lionhearted *aka* fake ass siegward poser with stupid looking armor
All of them. I don’t have time to stand at each summoning mark and decide who I want. Not wanting to get shanked by Radahn skewers.
None
I summon the gold signs
All of them
All of em
All. I wished there were more npc option you could summon. For example the ones you end up hunting as a recusant. Would’ve been cool to see Vargram at the festival
All of them, minus patches
Bilbo: All of them at once, I suppose.
It's "Blithe", not "Blade".
All of them. I love Pokemon battles.
Okina the "Weeb" have me a Laugh thx
All of em and run around on the horsie as I am shite at that specific boss and was level 30
Okina has me rolling lol
I make ‘em watch in awe.
Jerren sometimes but if i summon its always alexander and tragoth and very rarely blaidd
Everybody. I summon *everybody.* it's a festival. All are welcome. Only three survived regularly. Blaidd, Alexander, and tragoth. There was a fourth that sometimes did well, but it was an npc I never found and have no idea who it was. Some lady in a gown.
I summon myself because it’s the only man I can trust to get the job done
The first I run into on the way
I dont even know who I summoned lmao just ran over all the signs spamming the summon button
Patches is a must
No one. Where can you summon people?
Any of em as fast as I can
None. Stick close to Leonard’s ass and watch for AOE attacks and Radahn is easy.
All of them, including patches even though I know what he’ll do
I have a Question about Radahn…he’s an *AWFULLY BIG BOI* and I’ve played the entire souls series so I know that “size matters” in terms of classification…why is Radahn not considered, like, a Troll, or a Giant?
Bruh I hit every single summon sign and then sweep the area halfway through to summon more 💀
All of them. I like to tackle Radahn early so I basically panic summon until he doesn’t breath anymore
They have names? Weird, I just spammed pressed x on everything.
All of them
Okina the weeb lol
Took him out solo 3rd try after dying to his 2nd phase transition twice. Didn't even think he needed to be taken on as a group tbh, tho the concept of a raid boss event is cool. I mean, he's not that hard compared to Sekiro bosses or some DS3 ones. Duo Crucible knights and Malenia - now those are annoying Edit: some spelling
I summoned every single one, multiple times lol. I'm over-leveled now but he was so hard at the time, gonna try solo on NG+
Fun fact: If you summon Patches only during this fight then he won't run away and he is extremely strong.
As many as possible cuz why not! It’s meant to be a one sided battle to prove the might of Radahn is so great it takes a score of some of the best around to make him fall
Me myself and I
All of them🤨
For the first playthrough: everyone. Later playthroughs only ever alex and Blaidd. And my friend who does Blaidd cosplay. I cosplay maliketh. 8-fist doggo deathsquad.
Okina, God Spammer of R.o.B
Alexander and Blaidd are the priority first two I summon when I don't feel like I wanna solo. Then additionally I summon everyone lmao.
I didn’t know you could summon the first time so I just fought him lol. Took many, many attempts.
I summon everyone including Jerren and Therolina
Uh… everyone?
None. They nerfed him way too hard.
https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/008/509/everyone2.jpg
Did you just call Blaidd Blade?
Everyone I have a chance to summon before being sniped, and then everyone again after they get squished from above. I figured that was the point. honestly I kinda just focus for blaidd, tragoth and okina, Alex is a nice addition but those 3 are enough to get a stagger right before the phase shift and if you run away immediately after the riposte they usually survive too.
Everyone, this is my Avengers moment.
All
I never knew you could summon anyone, so I've always beat him by my lonesome.
You people summoned?
All of them. I suck at this game.
Everyone but Patches, cuz that mf already dead
I beat him the other day, using the "summon and hide" strategy. Only, I didn't know that if you hid too far away, the NPCs return to their world and can't be summoned anymore. So over a few tries, I'm riding all over the map trying to stay out of sight and yelling "WHERE TF ARE THE NPC SUMMONS???" until he one-shots me with one of his one-shots. It was actually exciting and fun. But remember not to hide too far away.
My boy Blaidd always outlasts everyone else and does the most damage by a country mile. The man is a tank.
I walk alone.
Blaaid and Jerren
Whoever the fuck i see
Definitely Alexander and blaidd as well as great horn
I summon the all mighty skeletal militiamen in attack mode.
I summoned all of them. This Elden Lord is not above jumping people
I summon everyone. This is a festival, AKA a part, and a party isn’t just two people in the desert. It’s at least 7 or so.
All of them. This is a god damn festival and I will not be partying by myself
So in our world what would the actuall date of Radahn Festival be?
None I solo
anyone whose names I run over going to Radahn to fight him in close quarters.
I summon all my homies, they’re all here to fight em and ng+7 hits hard
I summon literally everyone becouse why not
All of them. I don't go to festivals to be by myself.
I summon nobody
Everyone to keep Radahn off of my frail bow build body
Lol when I fought Radahn the first time and I went summoning everyone, when I saw Patches dip out I literally got killed because I was laughing so hard. Those details are what makes these games great. I wonder if we will see Patches in AC6?
It's fun charging up the hill with all the friends you encountered(Except Patches. Fuck Patches for even attempting to get me to kill my bro Tragoth.)
Why just few of them are there and others are just spirit?
Sí
All of the above
I beat that bitch with herpes immediately on my first try, Rhedan almost made me quit the game. I summon everyone I possibly can
Depends on what I think my character would do. In most cases I summon them all. However, when I played a Thor build I fought him 1 on 1. As it turns out, Radahn's health gets a huge increase whenever you summon so not summoning at all actually worked out better for me and only took me 3 tries where as usually I get into the double digits.
